  1. https://twitter.com/MrVectorMV/status/1670973449718706177 While I don't necessarily agree with everything this guy said, he does indeed bring up some excellent points. What are your thoughts on this?
  2. It killed the show because it was a complete slap in the face to everything that happened beforehand. Were we watching the same episode? Nothing happened in this finale until the last ten minutes of the episode.
  3. So let me see if I understand this. Celestia and Luna decide that it would be. A great idea to put a kid in charge of the institutions of Equestria. Seriously, what were they both thinking in putting Twilight Sparkle and her friends in charge of a literal kingdom when they had zero to no understanding on how a government operates? Add into account that, if you look deeper into it, Twilight was easily manipulated by Celestia when she was just a filly and spoon-fed the idea that friendship was the greatest thing to bring order to Equestria. Yeah, look where that got us? By the time G5 came around, Equestria had collapsed, the pony races were at each others' throats, and Twilight having been responsible for stripping them of their magic. Really shows how things went down before Sunny and her friends came along. Stick to the chain of command, learn the concept of power and authority, ditch friendship when it comes to government, and actually think logically. I know it's a kids' show, but seriously, they could've been more realistic in showing how Celestia could've stepped down and maybe had Luna be the one to rule, considering she was banished to the moon for a thousand years. You know what's so messed up about this? Twilight didn't choose this path. She was forced into it by Celestia. She didn't have free will and was essentially a tool for Celestia to use to solve her own problems in Equestria.

  5. We were explicitly told in "Call of the Cutie" that a cutie mark appears when a pony discovers their special talent. The Cutie Mark Crusaders did not do that here. We were shown in "The Show Stoppers" exactly what their special talents were. However, in this episode, them getting their cutie marks had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with their individual special talents. It doesn't help that not only do their cutie marks all look the exact same, but episodes like "Appleloosa's Most Wanted" also screwed with the continuity.
  6. Because she showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was ready for it.
  7. Not much of a twist given that they gave it away in the season premiere and again in "The Summer Sun Setback." Like with the "twist" back in season 8, they weren't subtle about this at all.
  8. You’ve been living under a rock if you don’t know about all the predator brony musicians and artists.
  9. I'm expecting this to be a short-lived flop. Leaks have revealed they're doubling down on everything that went wrong with G4, and official announcements have made it clear they're all in on the woke stupidity. Combine that with the fact that the discontinuity will help break some rabid fanboys out of their cognitive dissonance and see it for the mess it is, and you have a recipe for a solid crash and burn. Of course, I can't see them admitting that since Netflix makes it easy to hide the real performance numbers and they may be able to get them to manipulate the official ratings as well, but they'll know it's a flop and presumably abandon G5 in short order. Mark my words, it won't do nearly as well, and people will be begging to have G4 back. Why? Because there is no way in hell G5 will be given 9 seasons. It’ll get the usual 3 and call it a day. Replicating the runaway early success and influence of G4 is nigh impossible. But while that's obviously impossible with the current staff, it is possible to build a future MLP franchise that recaptures G4's success. The key is artistic integrity, passion, and a dedicated team just like it was for G4 under Faust.
  10. Or she grew and developed as a character. That would explain why there was such a drastic change in her personality. Found the Lauren Faust fanboy. But season 1 sucked. Yeah, imagine growing and developing as a character. How awful! Characters shouldn't grow or develop over time; they should stay the same throughout the entire series.
  11. What? No, the series did that well enough on its own thanks to stupid shit like alicorn Twilight and reforming despicable characters like Discord and Starlight Glimmer that deserve nothing but to catapulted into the sun after what they did. .
  12. I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. It seems to me that what little was left of the brony fandom after the series finale kinda . . . collapsed the instant the news that G5 was going the full-on Soviet propaganda-style narrative approach to writing. Several channels on YouTube that mentioned it were full of former bronies declaring themselves absolutely done.
  13. My thoughts exactly! This episode was so bad that ruined the series for me!
