Mmm, appendicitis is fun. At least I get to take a few days off from work, if nothing else. We caught it pretty early, so surgery and everything went smooth (well, excluding the wait times, which were quite long. That was only partially due to covid - the rest was due to someone else who got rushed in and needed surgery more urgently than I did). 

Man, I wish I could have gone to EFNW, but I can only afford one con this year and I already booked for MFF  There's just a special magic at pony conventions you can't find anywhere else.

To be fair, it's a slim chance. But still a possibility.

Crypto is crashing and I've never been so happy about anything in my life. Well, or maybe in the last few months, anyway.

So who's the genius at Suzuki who thought "Hmm, yes, why don't I put the oil drain plug three centimeters away from the frame so that sockets don't fit over it"? And why has that design remained the same for thirty-five fucking years?

I just finished watching Invincible and it's, uh, certainly interesting. Way more brutal than I was expecting. That being said, I thought it was pretty good, and I'll probably watch season two when / if it comes out.

New name  I think it's a much better fit for my oc than Booker.

Ugh. Why does the world suck so much?

Won't be getting a bike this week because my DMV appointment for my license took nearly four hours and the dealership was about to close when I finished  But at least the dealer was kind enough to put the bike I wanted on hold for me, which was nice. He also said most of the good credit companies are closed on Saturday, so I guess it kind of ends in my favor, even if I do have to wait a bit longer.

I think I may have found one of the fabled morally straight salespeople.

Wasn't gonna finance a motorcycle, but I was recently informed how essential a credit score is for getting a loan on a house, and I have barely any credit right now. I was also planning on getting an older bike, but considering there's like no used bikes in dealerships around here, I guess I'm going the new route (well, there are plenty of used Harleys, but I'm not gonna pay $25k for a used bike just because the gas tank says 'Harley Davidson' on the side. Harleys are built like junk and horribly under-featured anyway  fight me).

So uh, if all goes well, I should have this baby on Saturday. Not quite what I originally had in mind, but it's growing on me. Hard to argue with the $7.6k msrp, too (ignoring the fact that the bike I was originally looking at costs just over $2k, and doesn't have any dealer's fees or sales tax, other than what I'd pay at the DMV ).

Well, at least I've got a few episodes to binge now.

Just rode a motorcycle for the first time today, and it was a lot of fun! Took me a couple hours to get used to using the clutch (my scooter is automatic, so it's a bit of a change), but it started to feel pretty natural by the end of the day. Stalled the engine more times than I would care to admit 

I'll get my license this weekend (well, my certification, which basically acts as a license until I can get an appointment at the DMV), and I should have a bike insured and registered late next week. I'm looking at an '81 Virago right now, which will hopefully still be for sale next week.

Got a new slot for a motorcycle safety course, exactly one year after I was originally supposed to take it. Let's hope it doesn't get cancelled again.

Whew, gas prices have gone up. It's just about $1 more per gallon than it was a couple months ago. I don't particularly care since my scooter gets over 100 mpg, but still.

Bought Titanfall 2 since it's on sale for $10. The gameplay is fun, but the story hasn't been as good as I expected given the game's reputation. But, to be fair, I've only played the first two missions so far.

So uh, one of my dad's coworkers had to leave for about a week and apparently he volunteered us to look after their dog. So now I have to live with one of those for a while.

Great. At least it's a small dog.

So I, uh, put a car LED bulb in my little 50cc scooter. It's a bit bright.
