  1. That would've actually had been a good reason. Tirek is smart enough to be considered the show's smartest villain, but to be fair he and the other 2 just stood there to be rainbow zapped instead of firing their full might like he did with Twilight back in S4. Curse you time limits..
  2. I had a sudden thought and I'm not sure if it had already been discussed. In Gen5, when all magic had left the 3 pony races, who was rising the moon and sun????? This is something I know that Gen5 must bring up if they ever touch upon the past of Gen4 where, it was Celestia and Luna who rose the moon and lowered the sun. After them Twilight took the job over, and before them Starswirl and a group of Unicorns (fact by Celestia not correcting the play about it) were doing it. So, in order for the sun and moon to rotate I can only think of two possibilities. Either something happened that allowed them to rotate on their own (was a theory that Discord broke them, so maybe he fixed them?) or someone out there, far away from the ponies, is still moving them. What do you guys think? Thanks for reading and please share your thoughts. ^^
  3. Would the re-title be? If can change it by holding my mouse over it. If there was war I am certain the ponies of today would had kept it in books or some sort of fairy tale. The Earth Ponies, as scared as they were, would've been the ones to remember it. They built ROBOTS and traps to defend themselves, if that was due to a war they would had kept reminding Sunny or Sprout's mom would've said it like a catchphrase. Chances are a war 'might' had came about, but could the ponies of the present really had forgotten it? By how they kept reacting to each other, something had to have seeded that fear for so long. So if not an old war, then what? Maybe the last villain was an Alicorn? Horn, wings, so maybe Twilight turned into Midnight Sparkle after all? ^^;
  4. Well, let me be the first to say I never intended for my thought to hold Sunny at fault like you guys said, I know she can't be arrested or thrown in jail by just bringing about the next pony villain about. I never actually considered what I wrote had implied it that way. What I meant would kinda be like how Twilight's school led Cozy Glow to be the villain she ended up as. She was already shown to be on that path, but was just the one bad apple to not take the lessons to heart and went down the dark road when Twilight's school gave her the means to do so. No school, no Cozy Glow. Although I'm certain Cozy would had found another way, Twilight's school just sped her across the finish line. Sunny restoring magic would have the same effect. I agree that blaming someone for another's actions just for giving the means is wrong and terrible to even suggest. Sorry if I sounded like I was doing that before. ^^; I should've been more clear.
  5. It would be run down and crumbling if that was the case. Although being an Alicorn Twilight would live forever unless she gave up her magic, was slain, or anything like that. What I can assume was, depending on how long ago the 3 races went separate ways, Twilight or some form of her successor, could've been around no more than 500 years ago. 1000 the lighthouse would be falling apart unless Sunny's dad had repaired it from the ground up but that would mean he without doubt had known about the stones. I really hope that the show will at least give us a hint of what this lighthouse could've been about.
  6. -Spoilers for the movie ahead- So, the ending of the movie has Sunny discovering a 3rd stone within her dad's lighthouse in what I can only assume is some sort of a machine to...do what exactly? Shine the magic from the 3 crystals through the lighthouse and across the sky akin to the Crystal Empire spreading the magic from the Crystal Heart? Or was this hidden compartment just meant to hide away the stones? But, that would assume her dad knew the stones existed and never actually went out to find the other 2. If he knew that hidden compartment with the 3rd stone was there and had even the faintest of ideas of what it was, why didn't he tell or at least leave Sunny some sort of way to find them? But again, what was this compartment meant for? And why is it in the lighthouse of a random pony? It doesn't look old, and Sunny never knew it existed even though she grew up there. It honestly makes me think the lighthouse was built or configured in a way to channel the 3 stones and their magic somehow. But what do you guys think? We can all agree on one thing, though. Whatever this compartment or lighthouse was meant to do, thanks to Sprout, it will be forever lost to the sands of time. Let's just hope it wasn't meant to save pony kind... On a side note, where did this stones come from? Are they the Elements Of Harmony planted by the Mane6 as the Pillars Of Equestria did before them? Like to hear those thoughts as well! And, thanks for reading. ^^
  7. At the end of the movie Sunny finally succeeded in giving Equestria back its magic. Ponies can fly now and can freely use magic once again (after learning how it works, after all depending on how long they went without it I doubt anybody can cast even the simplest of spells anymore). All is well again for the little ponies, right? ...I mean, it's not like some big bad villain is just going to spring into action. They don't even have the magic to...oh mother of Luna, they do now! This is an idea that sprouted in my mind the day after I saw the film. The Earth ponies lived in fear of the other 2 races to go and built traps and machines to defend themselves. The other 2 races are not as fearful but they do react in a way to defend against and even arrest the other races on sight. So far there has not been a serious villain to so much as rob a bank in this present. But now that magic has been restored to the three races, doesn't this open the doors to a new Sombra, Trixie or even a Pony Of Shadows type of villain? Sure, not all villains are ponies but this generation of ponies seem to be more concerned about each other than anything else...at least with the Earth ponies, as they are the only side to show actual outright fear. We can go ahead and assume that the non pony races never lost their magic, but now the ponies have opened a door for a villain to arise and do some damage, and it is all because of Sunny for giving them that magic. That's just something that is going to happen sooner or later. Will the first true villain of Gen5 be a pony who went evil with magic and if so, would Sunny feel some sort of guilt to overcome? And, just a side note, if restoring magic somehow leads to Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis returning that would be such an ironic turn of fate. X3 Thank you for reading and please share your thoughts below. ^^
  8. -Slight spoilers- Finally got around to watching this one. It was a good ride with characters written very well and while some bits were jarring (THEY HAVE TVS AND A PRINCESS WHO DOES SELFIE BLOGS) I think it is a good way to kick off Gen5. Seeing the old memories of Gen4 did bring out the feels and I wonder how far into the future this gen actually is if all of the work Gen4 put in ultimately gets a hard reset. I hope the show will answer a lot of questions and we'll see what became of some of the old locations. And where these new gems came from (Mane6 planted a new seed like the Pillars did?) With the new Mane5, Sunny and Izzy are tied as my current fave so far. Although Zipp is very cute. And, a pony with the title of QUEEN! Take that Celestia, 1000 years and still a princess? Maybe if she had kids.. Anyways! I might write a in depth review of my thoughts after a second viewing but over all I really enjoyed this film and hope the show can only get better from here. By the way, the way the 3 races lost their magic and the Pegasus ponies lost their flight, is eerily what Tirek and Cozy did so unless somebody succeed where they failed or the 3 races fell on such hard times that all magic faded. I'm surprised they did not go all grey like in Rainbow Road. Anyhow the way in which the magic came back makes sense with how magic had worked before. And, Alicorn Sunny... I really want to see how her future goes down and before people try and rip it apart.. Sunny did something worth her wings and horn. She brought the magic of friendship back, ergo, she created new magic....UGH that is such a like even back with Twilight's reasoning. X3 But hey if finishing off somebody's spell can grant you wings, why not bringing magic back to life?
  9. The Windigos mostly feed off of fighting and the hatred that can bring out of hearts. Within the present of Gen5 the 3 races are so far apart they freak out royally bad if they see each other. Since they are so far apart the Windigos have nothing to feed off of as when left alone, the 3 races are happy. Now if Sprout had actually succeed and his group not run off in terror, be a different ending altogether. As for the theory that Gen4 was a TV show...who knows, I am sure in this future their adventures was made into a TV show at some point. But it is just far too early to be sure.
  10. Isn't that exactly what Cozy was trying to do originally? If that's the case maybe she got freed or someone somehow came about her plans and how she did it. Or somebody hit the do not pressed button by mistake and drained it....wait if magic no longer exists for every race....oh no, Discord would be normal! That almost killed the guy! D:
  11. Well the dragons (Spike, Ember and Smolder) are most likely to reappear along with Tirek, Cozy Gliw and Chrysalis. But if we're talking about what its Then it must be Discord. By Luna's mane he must be recasted! Seeing Luna again would be great too. ^^ And if anything the decadent of Trixie.
  12. OCs are characters you create stories about. Sonas of any sort is a projection of yourself. Its like cosplaying and playing a RPG.
  13. Think I'll be a brony for as long as I'll live. Nothing will ever change how good this gen was. To go into how important it was to me would take more time than I have at the moment.
  14. If you break a Pinkie Promise then without doubt it'll be Pinkie. Rainbow Dash would be a close second. Fluttershy? Depends on if you hurt an animal. If So you better get Celestia to protect you from Discord.
  15. I really prefer Demon Sunset but talking alter egos it must be Midnight. An evil Twilight simply can't be beaten. Now if pony Twi only faced her's..
  16. Happy Nightmare Night. ^^ Not much of plans for today other than watching movies with my mom. Brother's race track is giving out candy to the kids so my nephew, if he doesn't fall asleep, should still get loads of treats.
  17. I love that show. X3 I wonder how MLP will handle the Kelpies in terms of lore, and their history with Zecora. I WONDER! Does Silverstream know any Kelpies?
  18. So far it's a good start. I am also hoping that they pick up so many loose ends to make the final far more easier to swallow, but for the now I'm really curious as to why Zecora is so unsettled about her old friends. What happened when they were kids? Further more, Kelpies..... KELPIE. K.E.L.P.I.E Isn't that the mythical creature that drags people to a watery grave? Celestia and Luna they are getting quite brave. Good thing they had a few good laughs with Rockhoof and Temptest.
  19. My Birthday month, now that'd be a gift. X3 I wonder where it'll place within the show - unless it's the prequel to Gen5 I heard about.
  20. Watch Season 4 Episode 26 and Season 9 Episode 24 and 25 before reading this topic. I asked Jim Miller this but he never answered it (I actually think he outright avoided the question as he had answered another question with rather quick responses). Since Tirek stole Discord's magic way back in Season 4, why was he so loud about how "nobody but Discord could control his magic" later on? I mean Tirek backstabbing Discord was such an important key factor in the arc of Season 4 that if the writers had forgotten about it, I would be truly surprised. While Season 9 had carefully planted seeds and fatefully used them, I do feel that it was rushed near the end. Tirek's insistent on Discord's magic is in the top 2 reasons why I believe this. If not for this one factor the villains would had used EVERY MAGIC that the Bell had stolen and just imagine if Grogar's magic was fused with Alicorn magic... But, what do you guys think? Is there a logical in-show reason for why Tirek is suddenly unable to use Discord's magic?
  21. It's the same castle. Look at Season 5, Ep 13 and the final, and then compare to the castle the Pillars were in during the flashback in Shadow Play. It's the exact same castle. Even if it wasn't, the Tree was a shock to Starswirl and the Pillars. You know, when thinking of how quickly the Pillars fell, Tirek only fights for the heck of it. But with a foe whose powerful enough, he may had to weaken them first before stealing their magic.
  22. That is a problem that the show, for as great as it was, kept struggling with. Extending the lore. Around season 4 they kept better track of key points but they rarely ever used what they wrote into the lore. We have some books and a comic here and there touch upon this stuff but none of that seems to be actual canon. So that book is scrapped as canon. I suppose the writers of the show didn't keep tabs on the books nor comics either by contract or too busy to really look into them. The Pony Of Shadows is a prime example of lore that had touches throughout the show leading up to season 7, that never went anywhere. I want to say that if they had more seasons than 'maybe'. But probably not. Who knows maybe the real Grogar would had popped up, unleashed the Pony Of Shadows, Mane6 had to release Cozy, Tirek and Chrysalis and formed a massively risky alliance just to stand a chance. But that's a whole different topic. My point is, the writers gave us a lot of lore building materials that they never went back to. I guess if they had planned a few seasons in advance. Again I bring up they had released an actual season 10 poster but removed it after season 9 became the final, so they clearly had more planed.
  23. @nightshroud96 If only. I know the comics revealed how Nightmare Moon came to be, but the show never really went into it. And, since every villain is related 1000 exactly unless memory is wrong, there might be a bigger connection. The Pony Of Shadows' only weakness is he needs a host. Imagine if he won by taking Tirek as a host. That's a possibility.
  24. If you think about it the Pony Of Shadows was such a dangerous force that it is now all but forgotten. There's a character from the comics that and from the show, Stygian found it by discovering an old mural. Sadly we never got to see much of that room but it's likely ponies from the past were able to contained Mr.Shadows here inside that room up to Stygian finding it. Who knows, maybe it sensed his broken heart and called him? Maybe it's a tie to how Sombra how his power? So much lore that I hope the comics took and ran with. With that being said somebody sealed Mr.Shadows without limbo. The question is how?
