  1. Chernobyl by far. While Pompeii is tragic, there was nothing they could have done since that was a natural disaster. Chernobyl, however, is an industrial accident that's still ongoing. It has made a part of the Ukraine uninhabitable and the corium left behind is still smoldering and eating through the basement floor of the reactor. Thousands died as a direct result of being involved in the cleanup effort and in the construction of the Sarcophagus. Tens of thousands of people lost their homes as a direct result of human negligence. That is, by far, much worse than a natural disaster.
  2. Let's see... I bought an RTX2080 and Switch Lite from my best friend... I bought another pile of Azur Lane artbooks... picked up Might & Magic for Heretic, The War In Heaven and MFS 3.0 in big boxes and a few random small box games. I'm waiting on Quake Resurrection, Quake 2 Extremities, Virus and a rare C&C Red Alert special from Poland. Waiting on international mail suuuuuucks... lol
  3. The correct title is "Man dies after neglecting his health for an extended period of time." But that doesn't sell or demonize something.
  4. Nintendo doesn't take itself too seriously so the games it produces are primarily based around fun and enjoyment, rather than anything much deeper. Sure, they have some grand narratives like the Zelda franchise for example, and they do produce/develop some decidedly not family friendly content like Eternal Darkness. But, in large part, their games are accessible to a very wide audience and many people have grown up playing Nintendo consoles or handhelds. The demographic reach enables them to produce more open content without feeling the need to pander so hard like other companies do. How can you not want to play Mario games... or Zelda? They're an absolute blast to play! Also great for speedrunning, which is really cool to watch.
  5. I don't have a specific favorite or anything. But my current favorites are Extra Credits, AlternateHistoryHub, The Cynical Historian and RealLifeLore. Decent content on those channels.
  6. Personally, I don't really care that much. It gets annoying when the "kins" get all possessive of the character. If you do this, don't get mad when people give you shit for it. I wonder how these people would be if said character for their "connection" never existed.
  7. Games should already be at $70 or $75 but have remained at $60 despite that being the worse business choice. Why? So you'll continue to buy them. Then they supplement the initial revenue, which can easily result in a loss at the lower price point so they can keep the books in the black. Inflation has already made it so the investment cost for the consumer should already be higher but prices have remained lower. Your opinion mirrors those who cannot look beyond their world to see the business need for the additional revenue. The games that will potentially be priced at $70 are not cheap productions and have a massive investment to them that companies need to recoup so they can continue, you know, making games. At the end of the day, they're business and anything that keeps them in black with enough leftover to survive through a flop or two is always good for them. You're free to dislike it but don't act like it's only about "making us pay more."
  8. Both! I don't know why that seems so... strange to some people. Indie games are fun, reminiscent of the days of yore and by god, there's a lot of goodies to be found! But I also like AAA games because some works just need a big budget.
  9. My Galaxy S6 bricked a couple of months ago so I got a Galaxy A10e. Cheaper and does the same thing I did before so... y'know... a good purchase.
  10. Been a long time since this has even been mentioned. Not my favorite thing ever, but I do enjoy the movies from time to time.
  11. Freedom but that also requires some amount of order.
  12. Until I see some convincing evidence, they will remain as nothing more than pseudoscience.
  13. I do as I please. I'm already deep in the shit. What's a little more on top with being a furry?
  14. Believe me or don't. I care little what others think. But I am quite the furry.
  15. I don't have a lanyard on my keychain but I do have a Breath of the Wild lanyard for my work access card.
  16. Chocolate or gummy bears. When I'm really depressed, I just chow down on those.
  17. I am most definitely a furry. My nickname in another community for years has been "furry queen." It's not really a secret that I get down with the fuzz.
  18. They will be actors in a way, but the idea is to fill in the gaps of the overarching story with how our characters interact and how the ponies live in their new world. I have ideas, don't worry. It won't be as stifling as you might think but I want to follow the story as close as we can while still maintaining some freedom to interact. Your character seems to be fine. I have no trouble with him. Any particular pony of mine you'd be okay with playing? Still need a few more people then we can start this bad boy.
  19. I know this might sound nitpicky but gaming isn't an addiction. It's a compulsion. Not entirely the same. Anyway, excessive gaming is damaging to people. Game compulsion doesn't usually exist in isolation either. It's weird and counter-intuitive, but, most of the time, this happens between a small set of people. Two to maybe four or five at most. They share this to the exlcusion of everything else. Kind of a problem. No, games aren't some addictive force but they do provide the escapism that some people desperately need to fill a void left in their lives.
  20. Mine would something like this: "How Hard Do We Have to Fuck Her Before She Cracks?" No, that isn't a sexual reference. Life has this tendency to be really cruel to me. Hence the title of my book.
  21. Oh sure. I have my share. I have major depression, generalized anxiety, ADHD, high-functioning autism and I'm transgender... the last one really throws everything into chaos. And I recently had a psychotic episode so that was fun (not).
  22. Gender stereotypes aren't generally based on falsehoods and often have a small amount of truth to them. That said, they're not for everyone and society at large needs to accept that not everyone fits into the same fucking boxes. All men don't need to do X thing just like all women don't need to do Y thing. Statistically, they will but embrace the outliers. They're not weird, just different.
  23. Yes. Primarily in indexes and bonds. Things with long term stability rather than short term gains.
  24. No, but I've cried myself to sleep before. Hooray for being totally mentally fucked!
  25. Usually goes to my hobby. Admittedly, I probably invest more in that than I should. But oh well.
