Toxic Masculinity is not a real thing though, it's just human nature that people are unpleasant to others, most of the people who've made derogotory remarks about my masculinity in the past were not men and I wasn't even doing anything that would be considered unmasculin at the time either.

Toxic masculinity is a very real thing, but not in the way that most people think. Genuine toxic masculinity is the expectations placed on men and boys that are detrimental to their health and well-being. Things like not showing emotion or must be independent at all times. No matter how damaging they might be, the expectation is there. And that... is incredibly toxic.

  2. PS1/PSX. I have far more memories of playing games with my friends on the PS1 than any other Sony console. I haven't even touched the PS3, PS4 or handhelds. Haven't seen a reason to get any of them. I just emulate the PSP for anything on it I want to play.

  3. The most caustic, for me, has been some video game communities. I refuse to have anything to do with MOBAs because the player-base is so frustratingly venomous and elitists drove me out of CS and Battlefield. I've seen some caustic subreddits but, on the whole, I wouldn't say Reddit is nearly as bad as some people think it is.

Since tumblr kicked porn off the platform, it has become interminably pointless. While some interesting things are still there, they are few and far between. I have no reason to go there if there's no delicious clop on it.

4chan is just a mutant stepchild at this point. They've long since become fucking worthless and outdated. It was once grand with clever edgy comedy and memes. But not anymore. I still visit /e/ on occasion though. Anime tid will always be wonderful.

However, the grand champion of shitty is Twitter, followed very closely by Facebook. Everyone and their mother can use these platforms to espouse whatever bullshit rhetoric they wish. Unfortunately, that also means extremism is highly concentrated in those places. I refuse to use twitter because it's the most venomous platform on the web. I do use Facebook but only to keep up with certain family members, and I'm part of PC big box collecting groups there too.

Reddit, tumblr and even YouTube comments aren't even in the same league as twitter.

  4. Saturn collecting is a mixed bag. There are some releases that aren't very expensive, but they're not sought after all that much or they're extremely common releases. The truly sought after titles go for several hundred dollars to over a thousand. While it was a great system for its time, it had a short lifespan and low sales so collecting for it can be very difficult. Fortunately, it doesn't suffer from "nostalgia syndrome" like the SNES does so it has far fewer titles over $250. Complete prices, not loose. Loose copies are a little more affordable usually.

  5. My number one is a toss between Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. Both being excellent, I can't pick one or the other. I also like Yuyu Hakusho and Dragonball of course.

Though these started as games, I quite liked the Senran Kagura and Azur Lane anime as well. I have a soft spot for fanservicey stuff.

  6. Of course not. If anyone is "too old" for video games then people can be "too old" for television, movies or music. But they would balk at such a notion. The concept of being too old for something is patently ridiculous. I'll be 36 this year and I will continue to play video games of all stripes. From those made more for a younger audience to those made specifically for an adult audience. I know many adults who are older than I who continue to play video games of some sort. There's no age limit on engagement and fun.

I am, in fact today marks 2 years with him. But it just doesn’t feel right sometimes due to the distance. LDRs suck.

That's a mood. My boyfriend lives in the UK. Love him with all my heart but the distance is insane. Not even my girlfriend lives close by, but at least still in the US.
