Adobe Flash Player EOL General Information Page

Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.

Some users may continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system.  See below for more details on how to uninstall Flash Player.

It is the end of the world as we know it :(

@Nsxile 🔥🐲 Something "ActiveX is unsafe" messages, and "download Silverlight" messages, that just never assured people to actually try games out. They either run directly from the browser without any extra work, or they don't run at all.

If people want to play my game, all they need is to download DosBox (you can find DosBox somewhere, hopefully an easy link, hopefully with no advertising and wait time for download, or a message to say to disable AdBlock while clicking on short links that actually immediately send you to some p*rn site), and then, download a couple of MBs of (I can assure you there are no viruses in my EXE file) EXE file. And then, it is just to setup DosBox, manually to get the right settings. And you need a PC of course! No cell phone.... Where did my audience go? Oh, they are all on cell phones!

      Compare that to:

If people want to download my Flash game, all they need to do is open a link and it is there! Well, it used to be (before the cell phone era). Now you have to download it from an unofficial source, possibly using a short link, possibly with viruses embedded into it. At least some malware, maybe a front page update to a search engine of your choice.

      Internet nowadays >_>

Who on its right mind would want to download mobile games? :yuck:

I mean, the touchscreen is just that good for anything that doesn't rely on clicking stuff. Seriously, anything that doesn't go point 'n' click should be banned from cellpones. Onscreen controllers are a nightmare and your hooves get on the way. -10/10. Wouldn't play.

Flash was rather powerful and made for a good dev platform for beginners. Not as good as your out of the mill IDE, per se, but great when moving away from console and starting into applications that also contained graphics. Action script was times better than Java despite action script being like a Java expy when it comes to syntax. As splashers mentioned, having to move back to java is a huge downgrade. I personally would prefer to migrate to Unity if that's my other option for web player games/animations.

@Jesse Terrence Since the majority of people here are on cell phones, I need to choose a platform for my project that most people can view. Not necessarily "play". I am forced to look into html5, and JavaScript is really messing with me at the moment!
