Adobe Flash Player EOL General Information Page
Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.
Some users may continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system. See below for more details on how to uninstall Flash Player. It is the end of the world as we know it

The killswitch is in the newest versions of flash player as far as I'm aware, not the older versions of flash player before June 2020. You should still be to find them on internet archive.
@Flying Pencil You should still be able to play flash content either by downloading Flashpoint or finding and downloading an older version of flash player and using it with a browser like Palemoon (remember to turn updates for flash player off though). You can also try archiving Flash files by either viewing the source code of the webpage it is being played on or using developer tools, and locating the .SWF file and downloading it.
@CypherHoof 🐎 Having used HTML5 myself, it is not an adequate replacement for flash games imo - it might be more "secure" but has much less functionality and is a lot more of a pain to use.

The absolute main problem with Flash now compared to the past, is availability.
Back in the day, almost everyone had Flash installed, on very simple terms and agreement. That meant, as soon as someone found a website with a Flash thing embedded into it, it started playing without any question to download, agree, and accept plugin safety. It was an easy way for Flash game developers to get acknowledged, and get views in the 1000s.As soon as Flash stared disappearing in favor of html5, it started to get messy to download Flash. It is simply not worth the development time to publish something under Flash, since it requires the end user to first go through a list of procedures before they can even see the product.
And now, when Flash player is prompting people to either uninstall completely, or remind you to uninstall it later (remind every 7 days on boot), it is basically over.
@Nsxile 🔥🐲 Sure you can hack your way around the system, to play some old popular Flash game, but Flash is no longer good, because it isn't embedded for everyone to use anymore.
I am looking into html5 right now, in order to reach more people, especially the smart phone users. I have just started learning JavaScript, and coming from C++ game development, I thought it would be easy. It's certainly a downgrade. I hope it pays off, since more users will get the experience without accepting any "download this exe file to play" messages, and "scan for virus" stuff. It is all about that, just like Flash used to be, easy for people to get access to.
