      Ibispaint. It was a drawing app made by some Japanese company. It was great app and there are a lot of brushes and some other features, some which I still don't understand.

      It's winter..... it is Covid (not me, but, Covid is still a thing).... You know, the same the same!

      I'm really looking forward to the spring. I still need to get out in the garden and prepare it before stuff starts to grow. No way I can do any gardening at the moment though. We've had snow for the past couple of days. :ButtercupLaugh:

    I actually ended up watching a Bob Ross episode on Youtube after trying to find help painting landscapes, and I was quite impressed. I didn't expect the final painting to be at the level it was.

      They can be useful for calculating AC circuits. 

      For example, the impedance of a capacitor is 1/(i*omega*C) and the impedance of an inductor is i*omega*L

      omega is angular frequency (rad/s) -> 2*pi*f (frequency in Hz).

      Usually with AC, you talk about RMS values. It seems like the calculations for anything AC is... difficult. I am mostly interested in impedance. You know this already, from our old conversations

      RMS values don't tell you everything. More specifically, they do not tell you anything about phase.

      At 1kHz, the impedance of a 6280Ohm resistor, a 1H inductor and a 25.3nF capacitor is about the same and if you calcuated the RMS current you would get the same value.

      But it's not the same, right? The phase angles are different.

      Also, connecting two different type components (say, a resistor and a capacitor) in series or parallel, you have to use complex numbers for calculating the current as using just the RMS values would give you a wrong answer.

    I have noticed the forum is now blocking any uploads of animated avatars. That means, if you change avatar to a non-moving one, you will never be able to get a moving (animated) one back. Sadly, I had prepared an animated one for myself, but cannot change.
