  1. What are the songs from the show (anything MLP related really: the show, movie, etc) that made you ponies rather sad and/or cry?

Doesn't really have to be a sad song either, the Smile Song that Pinkie Pie sings in season 2 seriously gets me near the end, like I'm talking having to use a tissue box levels of tearing up x3

Also I think I speak for almost everyone that has actually watched the finale...

    Spoiler

When I say "The Magic of Friendship Grows" makes me practically break down x-x

  2. My parents are rather old-fashioned

old-fashioned to the degree of not really accepting any opinions their children give because "Oh i'm the parent, I know better then you" (or at least that's the aura they give off), and my dad seeming to think any time you get into a big argument with him you're trying to challenge his authority / position as "alpha" of the family (yet again, just the aura he gives off / how quickly he snaps to yelling and cursing in your face).

Buuuut these scenarios basically never happen, so is it really that big of a deal? I could list off a whole bunch of other things that annoy me about them, but it would come off as petty.

    tl;dr - Dad = 5/10, mom = 5-6/10, varies depending on the situation.

  3. I know that there is at least like...80 something issues of the main series now (which really adds up money wise if you want them shipped to you and/or collectors have their way, unfortunately), which is quite a lot for something as..."niche" as ponies in media outside of the show. I at one point was given the very first version of the very first issue by a teacher, maybe even a promo version, even if I think I either lost it or threw it away in my small little "screw ponies" phase that lasted like...a month x3

    ANYWAY, BACK ON TOPIC!

I know there is also the "Volumes" that usually contain 4 issues in one and I think have the cover art of the very first issue in that collection as their cover.

But there is ALSO the rather behind in terms of content Omnibus which has like...10 issues or more in one, but is smaller in book size (length / width)

So my question is: what is everyone's opinions on the volumes and omnibuses? do you prefer them over having to keep track of 85+ issues? are they lower quality then the standard?

  4. My favorite non-MLP plushie (or at least the one I'm the most attached to) is a rather large rainbow caterpillar plush I got when I was like...3 years old or something. Used to snuggle with it every single night, up until I was a teenager even. Perhaps I'm a little bit of a baby still, but I always keep it nearby me in my bedroom, sitting atop a pillow at the foot of the bed.

Fav MLP plush? Dunno yet, they're all locked in my closet for "Quarantine" since I got them from a convention x3 (blame me being a germaphobe somewhat on getting super sick in 2017)

  5. I...honestly don't even remember x3

I'm not really one to keep track of individual lines from shows and such, as there are hundreds per episode practically.

Buuuut just to answer...when Twilight freaks out in Forgotten Friendship over not finding anything about Sunset being forgotten by everyone, so she's all like

"I'VE ALWAYS BEEN GOOD TO YOU LIBRARY!"

inb4 a bunch of people say “Yeah, yeah, we get it- LIGHT ‘ER UP, LADIES!”

(I stopped being a fan of Fluttershy after "Putting Your Hoof Down" because I didn't like how mean she was to everypony. ESPECIALLY, her friends.)

I think it goes along with her old theme of "easily manipulated", as she was kind of made into that jerk by Iron Will.

  7. I honestly don't even really know who's my favorite right now. I used to LOVE Fluttershy back when I first became a brony, maybe because I identified with her / how shy she was and how much everyone talked over her.

But now? I dunno really, maybe Twilight.

Pinkie Pie is always going to be my least favorite however, even if she sometimes ties with RD on things. I dunno, she was always just too energetic for me.

Okay maybe its not the energy that steered me off, it was how 95% of the time she would talk and/or say something without using her common sense beforehand (See "Over A Barrel" for [Pinkie's song VS the Buffalo])

  8. Self esteem? Dunno about that really, I usually see myself as kind of not-so-useful in a lot of situations and/or compare my art and such to others, thinking it looks like crap compared to theirs. Or how I get anxious / annoyed that people almost 5-6 years younger then me are in a better spot in life then me / making money and/or with a GF

So yeah, I'd say I'm kinda lower then average on that x3

I'd say my self-esteem has improved a ways since my original post (probably thanks to being loved ), though I will say it isn't all too high still.

Entirety of Rainbow Rocks album. Come at me! :P

For me its like...half of that soundtrack. Anything the Dazzlings sing is great, the opening credits song is still stuck in my head to this day, and both the Mane 7's part (after sunset starts singing) of "Welcome to the Show" and "Shine Like Rainbows" make me tear up / cry abit for some reason.

But the failed counterspell they sing in AJ's garage is too cringe, and "Awesome as I Want to Be" seems too...forced / pretentious.

There are surely a lot of great songs throughout Equestria Girls, but lately I've really warmed up to "Embrace the Magic" from Legend of Everfree. I don't know, something about it just feels so right.

    AYYYYYY B)

but yes, very nice song ^^

Well, technically speaking, she is still a villain when she is singing that song. And you can see both Sunset Simmer and Trixie not getting affected by her song. Have a villain song ever made you feel sad? (why does Tempest's "Open Up Your Eyes" song pop up in my head).

Well, when you start asking yourself these kind of questions, you know the show is very well made!

I have noted that you are 14 years old.
I followed you and put you in my friends list. You don't have your status feed turned on, so I can't talk to you in your profile. So I'll just put it here:

I am 37 years old, a guy, and I don't cry to cartoons made for girls (Equestria Girls). Except somehow I do! :scoots:

    ahem

    *breathe in* B O I

Try tearing up / crying over a song just by thinking about it x3

  10. Welcome friendo!

I'm not really into sports at all, but at least you have something besides ponies that you enjoy ^^ (unlike me atm where my life is kind of consumed x3)

Tldr: I love MLP, and I want more art for my OC. ^.^

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: rainbow-dash
How did you find MLP Forums?: I found it when looking for artists to comission MLP artwork for my OC.
How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic:

I lived at my uncles house while I was going ro college for a while, and his daughter was about 8 at the time, and guess what one of her favorite shows was? I was assigned to babysit her pretty often as I didn't have to pay rent so I was unemployed, so I ended up being in the room with her when she watch her cartoons fairly often. Most of them were terrible, I swear I will mutter what the backback in dora says when it closes the rest of me life. >.< However I actually really liked MLP, and it annoyed me that I basically watched in broken order, so one I brought it up and watched the entire show that out at the time, which ended at the discord arc I believe, and I fell i ln love with most of the big 6, but especially rainbow-dash, she really embodied my values of being loyal to a fault and super energetic and fun. The only main 6 I find completely obnoxious is pinkie pie, but she never ruined the show for me, and she has her moments. Then from there I watched some MLP youtubers, created an OC, and rest is mostly history. Never really been to cons or heavily participated in the community though, I really need to watch through it all again and watch the new seasons I haven't seen. ^.^ I'll probibly do that soon.

    Welcome friendo!

Funny how a lot of the fandom seems to have gotten into the show via being forced to watch it by someone else x3
