Ah yeah, then that's a rather normal thing there. That is why "cheating" with coordinates is a common practice nowadays. I remember back then tips to build high towers with tons of light on them to make them work as real life lighthouses - to help you spot your base from distance. Not so long after players could see their coordinates in debug stats, which to this day became the main way to navigate through the worlds. These lighthouses hardly worked anyway, due to limited render distance.
You're playing on the console, right? They made "cheating" with coordinates more "official" in the Bedrock version, by putting them in the upper left corner, as opposed to Java edition (PC), where one has to open debug stats with F3. If you don't have these displayed, maybe try looking around the options. All you'll have to do is to write down or remember your home's coordinates - it will help you find it afterwards.
Fair enough- having someone to play with someone makes everything better. c:

Oh java I see, then it might be a bit more confusing yeah.
If you press F3 in the game, it will display debug information on your screen. Kinda messy, buuuuuut you can find your current location there:
X, Y and Z coordinates.
When you're at home, press F3 and write down or remember the location - basically X and Z is needed, as Y is just the height.
Then when you'll get lost, open this debug screen and point yourself in such direction, where the numbers approach the target. So if your house is at X=50 / Z=100 and you're far away at X=3000 / Y=2000, point yourself in such direction, where both numbers will be decreasing as you move forward and follow that direction 'till the numbers will match the ones of your home.
Repeat once in a while whenever you'll get confused to be sure you're going in the right direction and you'll find your home eventually.
