Gotta hand it to Celestia tbh @Totally Nyx 

Without Celestia's mistakes the whole story wouldn't take place. If she hadn't given those shreds of Nightmare to Spell Nexus, the whole story wouldn't have happened. 

So maybe Celestia's flaws were a good thing. 

I don't think that was a mistake. She had just as much reason to trust Spell Nexus with them as she would to trust Twilight with them, and I don't think trusting Twilight with them would've been a mistake either. She couldn't have known what would happen.

Her mistakes were her choices that led to her taking Nyx away, and those I can forgive because they were necessary for Spell Nexus to succeed.

@Totally Nyx Lol, what I meant is that the actual mistake that she made is that she didn't check up on Spell Nexus's progress on the shreds.

She also didn't notice that he was acting weirdly, but I can't really blame her for that. She's a busy pony after all. 

One thing is: She should have inspected the spell that Spell Nexus prepared before giving Nyx to him. I know that she trusted him, but as a ruler of 1000 years, she should have had enough experience to be careful with unknown spells.
