@Princess of Hearts ❤️❤️ I can imagine that. It would feel pretty different if the two knew each other from long ago. Just like how we got to know of Twilight's other friends during the events of "Amending Fences."

That's true, but I think it could have worked. It would have given Starlight a connection to someone that knew him and learn of what happened to Sunburst. It kind of makes me think it would have been cool if the Starlight being connected to Twilight has a lot more meaning.  

@Dynamo Pad Makes sense, but if Starlight knew in advance from Twilight that Sunburst wasn't some great wizard like she expected him to be, she wouldn't have been that nervous to meet him. The idea of Starlight being nervous actually made me relate to her more than I ever did when she was a villain, and that's what makes me like her so much now. 

But, yeah I agree it would have been cool if Starlight's connection to Twilight was deeper. Maybe not lost twin-sister deep, but they should have had some other connection that neither would have known about until they met each other. 

@Princess of Hearts ❤️❤️ I could imagine Twilight not saying anything, or being a little subtle to Starlight about the whole idea of Sunburst's great wizard concept. As a sort of way to be her way of teaching, while Twilight would still be learning how to be an effective/great teacher for Starlight. It was the same for me as I can relate to Starlight in certain ways. I'm not sure if I could relate when she was a villain, but her villain role helped me to understand her more when more episodes played about her past. 

I can see them having a sort of best friend role, while maintaining the student/teacher relationship. I can kind of see a sort of long lost twin-sister sort of thing, but then again, it feels unlikely. I could see some more animosity towards Twilight if she had told Starlight that she knew of Sunburst during her explanation of him in the finale. Which could possibly lead to and feeling of hesitation to being indecisive. Which could lead to Twilight being able to talk Starlight through her situation and to help her change upon taking her as a student.
