So I've been thinking.
When Starlight messed with time, one future Equestria was one where everything was gone.
For an entire civilisation to be destroyed and disappear without leaving a trace in 20 years, something really major would have happened. But what could have done it?
Even if any of the villains had not been defeated, you would still be able to see the ruins of Equestria, or ruins or remains of any kind. But there was nothing there (it;s been a while since I watched the episode so correct me here).
So what could have caused such a future to happen?

@Princess of Hearts 💛🧡 All that anger and hatred amplified her power and she figured that the only way to make the pain go away was to just burn it all away!
That’s just my theory though...

@Koncova @DivineDivine1000 I'm not counting it out as a possibility, I'm just saying that she probably doesn;t have that power. Just because she is the embodiment of the Sun doesn;t mean she can harness all its power. Just like Twilight not being that much more magically powerful than Starlight despite Twilight representing magic. It's just their talent.
In Daybreaker was that powerful, then you could equally argue that Nightmare Moon was that powerful, but that clearly isn;t the case. If she was, she would have had no trouble in taking over Equestria, but that wasn;t seen.
