You might as well watch it. You might really like it 

Everyone's gonna kill me for this but I've never watched EQG and I don't think I ever will.  One of the many things I love about FiM is that it doesn't have to be too hip and trendy. It can mirror current-day problems, sure, but more than anything, it's timeless and can bring so much joy to so many generations and it will last forever.

EQG looks to be the opposite. It looks like it's trying to be hip and trendy and too anime-esque. Not to offend the fans of it, because I'm sure there are many, but for me, it's FiM that saved my life and that's the one I will forever cherish.

Yeah I understand what you are saying lol. Honestly I do prefer FIM but EQG is really what brought me into watching mlp. I watched the first EQG film one day since I was bored and I got really interested by the pony world that appeared for a few minutes, so I started watching FIM as well.
