I've always hated how Twilight and Flash liked each other after bumping into each other, but part of me wishes that maybe that could one day happen to me too

I understand.
Narratively speaking, it's obtrusive. Twilight fell in love with someone she just met, and we the audience are expected to like a brand new character that we know nothing about. We didn't spend tons of episodes following his life story. We don't know his likes, dislikes, the challenges he has faced, or anything. He is written mostly as generic guy. The two of them didn't even take time to get to know each other better or anything. Falling in love that fast can be dangerous and not the best message to put in front of kids.
But in real life, love is not an exact science either. You can try to do everything right, but love isn't always a set of rules. Love can be emotional, chemical, and sometimes without reason. There needs to be chemistry, something that clicks and just makes things work. There needs to be mutual attraction, and sometimes that happens when you and your romantic partner/interest both fall in love with each other at first sight. Will a relationship that starts out that way work out? Who knows. You have to stick with it a while to see where it goes. But for some people, it not only happens, but has lead to a very happy life.
It's lightning in a bottle when it happens, and you can't recreate that kind of magic no matter how hard you try, but it happens.
I never blamed Twilight for falling in love. Many fans hated this, but just because you are a loner in life doesn't mean you've never considered or desired a romantic connection with someone. The only difference is that you don't wear that desire on your sleeve like other people might do. There's a lot of us hoping we'll run into our perfect match some day, bonus points if it plays out like a fairy tale or something magical. I've been in a few relationships, yet I'm still looking for "the one", and I was very much like Twilight when I was younger.
... Oh my, did I rant too much?
