I never understood the point of a friends section. Shouldn't the people you follow be automatically listed as your friends?  Why would you follow someone who isn't your friend?

@Samurai Equine 🔥🔥 I personally just follow anyone who follows me, so the friends list is probably different. Then again, I pretty much stuck most of my followers on there  so I don;t think the friends list servers a purpose(and I'm sorry, I completely forgot about you when making it. It was 3am, so I forgot a couple of people).

@Princess of Luck 🍀⚡🔥 To an extent, I do that myself. However, on a rare incident, I have found people who are terrible, mean to others, etc. I can't bring myself to follow them. Even if they aren't breaking any rules, there is nothing they can say or do that I would enjoy seeing content from. If I have to block and/or report them for any reason, if they just offend me too much, I'm not going to follow them (or I'll stop following them if I followed them previously). So for me, a friends list and who I follow are pretty much one in the same.  (And don't worry about it, I don't even read those lists anyways. I tend to forget they are there 99% of the time.)
