I like how this forum is the only place on the internet where you're allowed to revive dead topics, sometimes it's even considered as a good thing

  @Deerie it shouldn't be unusual, but in all forums I've been there was an unspoken rule "If the topic is dead, don't bump it, make a new one". People didn't like it for some reason
  
  Maybe it's part of russian internet culture, I don't know

  It is a cultural thing in a lot of places - in many of them, threads without an update in a month or so become locked, and cannot be updated by anyone, thus enforcing the cultural norm.
  
  I never really understood why, but I guess some people believe that it is a conversation that is closed once "done", and don't like the idea that you can have thousands of conversations, some with months between replies, all ongoing at once. I have no idea why people would want to limit their minds like that, but people are good at limiting their minds so.. maybe?
