Here’s to hoping the forum upgrade fixes things.
I haven’t made an update in awhile.
My weekend was lovely. I went to EverfreeNW and it was lovely. Best con experience I’ve ever had, and even got to talk to my favorite brony musician (4everfreebrony)
I also had two drunk women shut the elevator on me at the hotel so I couldn’t get in with them cause I had pony plushies and they thought I was a creep cause of that. They literally ran to the elevator when they saw me, and pushed the button over and over again.
Hope everyone has been doing good lately.

And I did. Another musician he was with (Whirlwind I believe was the name) actually waved me over to say that he thought my idea to clip my plushies to my backpack straps with pet harnesses was genius.
Then I took the opportunity to talk to 4everfree. He’s a really nice guy. I told him he was my favorite. Also told him that my favorite song of his was “Super Fan”. His face lit up when I said that, and he said he loved that I said that cause he liked it a lot too, and it’s not one many people have heard of or mention a lot. Then we got into a little conversation about how underrated it is, and he even said he wasn’t originally gonna be the one singing it. Though I can’t remember who he said was originally supposed to.
Ended up buying a shirt from him.

I would say everypony should start to use the stream feature of the forums. I personally don't miss out on anything here.
Most users don't seem to be aware of what's actually going on here, with all the changes and "bugs". I feel like the activity in my circle got reduced by about 80% and it became a graveyard. And most people won't even see this message here.
But I say it again, jumping from notifications to the streams helps and it's like almost nothing changed. Besides the blank status thing, which is really a bug.

This has absolutely been my worst day on the forum in the last two years. My emotions got the better of me and in doing so, I have offended a lot of people, especially people who work on the forum behind the scenes. I’ve sent an apology to them but I feel so horrible at the moment thinking about what I’ve done. Everything I said about what happened has been deleted.
To all of my followers and forum friends, I am so desperately sorry. I hope everyone can forgive me. Please don’t hate me… please.

@TomDaBombMLP I guarantee no one hates you after this. You apologized, and learned something from it and that’s what matters.
From my understanding MLP has done a lot of good in your life, and you’ve made lots of friends here so getting emotional about this awful change is understandable. No one I know likes this upgrade the software hosts have forced upon us.
Sounds like the staff are working hard so here’s to hoping they can work around our obnoxious overlords.
An analogy I think would be think of the forums and the staff as the writers for FIM while the software hosts are Hasbro.

Well I’ve been waiting on the status update notification glitch to go away, but it unfortunately sounds like it is a feature, and not a bug after the upgrade. So now the only way to be notified of updates is by selecting the option where I’ll also be notified of every post the people I follow make on threads which could get annoying fast.
Looks like I need to get in the habit of using the streams.

@TomDaBombMLP All’s good, I’m pretty frustrated too. I just don’t want the wrong people to get attacked, this wasn’t a staff decision.
Id hate to see you go, though. I’ve enjoyed your presence since the start.
@Sven Glimmer Told me about using streams and bookmarking the page to still be able to see stuff. You’ll just have to check it periodically. I’m sure Sven can explain it better if he wants.

@TomDaBombMLP I’m sure the staff is doing what they can. I sure hope in the end this isn’t permanent, but the staff are not responsible for this feature, and can’t just go change it themselves. I’m hoping they can complain enough where the software hosts the forum uses does something. We’ll see I guess.

@SolarFlare13 I’ve asked a staff member about it and I’m afraid this notification things is not a glitch. The software hosts merged some notification settings together causing this. So unless the software hosts listen to complaints about it, then it’s here to stay. And yup, it’s gonna make so many people feel ignored, even though no one is intentionally doing so. It’s a terrible feature that unfortunately the staff have no control over.

Hello, my crowd! How goes it?
I am so tired...
After many delays, I finally put in a new storm door, and wow was it more hard work than I realized it would be! My legs are so sore right now. But at least it's done and I no longer have to think about it from now on. ...Even if I might be a little broke for the next two weeks. 
Hmm...
I wonder if anyone thinks less of me for liking G5. Just because I am giving it a chance doesn't mean I have abandoned G4, nor will I ever forget the wonderful time I spent with it. So many great episodes, specials, and a great movie... Not to mention I made so many great friends. FIM is the whole reason I joined this place so many years ago. So I will keep it in my heart even as I move forward and give new things a chance. ... Wait, are there fans that are actually shrugging off G4 instantly as if it never happened? 
Is it fair to even call them fans? I don't know. Just a lot to think about, really...

The original source of this image is gone. I'm actually really glad we have the archive sites, otherwise amazing images like this would be completely gone.
Metroid Prime is such an amazing game, I love the whole Metroid series, even despite me being not a fan backtracking, haha.
Marble is actually one of my top favorite MLP characters, my number 1 favorite quiet/shy character.
Yesterdays theme was "sadness". I hope it's easier to figure it out this time.

But the forum feels very dead lately. Damn bugs! I have to see how things are developing. It's not the staffs fault, but the forum software took away settings that I really liked in 2020 and now I have to stick to settings that are far from optimal. G5 worries me as well. Since I didn't like anything about it, some days ago I decided to completely move on from it. I really don't have anything positive to say about it and when I force myself to do so, it won't be positive. It doesn't make me happy and it won't make others happy, so no point in that. G5 doesn't exist to me, I don't care about it. The problem is just that I can't avoid it anymore, when I want to be a part of this community. More and more topics about it. The design here will probably change more to it as well. Probably G5 reactions and all that. It's like I would have joined a tennis club, but then it changed to a soccer club. I love "tennis", but almost everyone else moved on to soccer. And this makes me want to look for a club that is exclusively about tennis, if you get me. Like a booru site, where I can just filter away soccer topics with one click. It makes sense and I understand it though, soccer is more popular and helps with the club's success. It's just a path they have to go without me.
I already put in more contact methods in my profile, just in case. I was already talking in private about my worries, there really is no optimal solution anymore. I will definitely not move on from tennis only because most other people do it. I love tennis, I have no reason too. I just stick to places that give me the best tennis experience...Anyway, two more soundtracks to go. And a lot more until sunday!

@Sven Seelenherz Yeah. I think everyone won’t be as active until they get the bugs fixed. I know I’m ready to be able to see when people post status updates again.
And I feel pretty much the same way about G5. I don’t care anything about it. I’m happy others enjoy it, but I hope it doesn’t take over too much to be honest. If that makes me what I’ve seen some call a “G4 purist” then so be it.
