I ordered the new PC today for a massive €1400.
I may be pretty broke at the moment. 
But I'm sure it will all be worth it. 
Also, I'd like to announce that @AppleButt, @Sven Seelenherz, @Astral Soul and me have formed an alliance, The G4-Team.

I won’t take any credit, it was all AB and Sven’s idea. 
It is our duty to be as loyal to G4 as we can be, no matter what may change around us. 
We shall protect the legacy of the greatest TV show made. 
In all seriousness, we really just want G4 to keep being the most prominent and important thing for us. I can’t speak for all of us but me and Sven in particular have gotten to a point where we really don’t like G5 and want to avoid even the slightest bit of association with it. I remember a while ago, me, Astral and AB all watched the G5 movie together virtually and it’s quite crazy to think about how much our opinions on it have changed since. I think the course of time and TYT are the cause of that. Again, I can’t speak for the other two but I myself went from ‘I liked it but I have some notes,’ to ‘It’s not really that good,’ to now wondering what people even see in it at all. I feel very bad saying this because a lot of my close forum friends do like it and get a lot out of it and I’m not in any way saying you shouldn’t. I’m actually jealous that you can enjoy it so much. For the four of us however, there’s only one show that we hold so dear to our hearts and that is the incredible Friendship is Magic.

Your new computer should keep you busy for many, many years. I bought mine...4, 5 years ago? For around 750€. And I can still play all the games. VR wouldn't work at all though, haha. You can use your computer for at least a decade, I believe.
@AppleButt came up with the name, credit goes to him for that.
I just liked that we are exact 4 friends, who love generation 4 so much. What a coincidence!

SpoilerI think I said enough about G5 already. I didn't hate it before I returned to the forum in February. To be confronted with it every day made me feel this way, since that's not why I'm here, right? I know it's also MLP and I'm not a fan of older generations either. I think FiM was just something exceptional, thanks to Lauren Faust. And once she left, the other creators tried to keep the same spirit as close as possible. It's not a fact, just what I think could be true.
I eventually hated G5 so much, that I lost all hope and I wanted to leave this site... But you and @Astral Soul helped me especially and I feel 100% like myself again, 100% positive too!
Not saying you should do this as well, please don't, I'm a horrible example.
But at this point, I only use about 4% of the forum. That's why I'm so incredibly happy now! I can't support most people anymore, because even in the FiM Canon Discussion they post about G5. My only option is to ignore all new posts from now on, unless it's written by someone I can trust. And someone who doesn't post G5 stuff. Like, 2 people... Dunno. Not optimal, there are no filters either or strict rules or anything. And honestly, I don't want it to be changed just for me. So yeah, that's what I do now. I don't even compare G5 with G4, I only genuinely think it's a really bad show. Me ignoring it is the best thing I can do for the sake of everypony. I will stay happy + I don't ruin it for the ones who enjoy it. End of the story. <3
At this point, I'm just here for my friends. And in worst case DM's would also always work. I just want to enjoy things related to FiM, that's it. And I do what I need to to keep it that way.
I love FiM from the deepest point of my heart and it's so much fun every day! So personally, I have no reason to "move on" or to look for something else or new. Wouldn't make sense at all. *laughs*
