  1. Wow, nice editing and timing! The song fits really well, and so quickly after the show! wow!
  2. Wow, this is really good. I can see all the time and effort you put into it and I'll probably try to make one sometime in the following week.
  3. Nice catch! I didn't notice that! Also, I'm surprised nopony has brohoofed you for that yet *brohoofs*
  4. Thanks for the pointer XD I should've done it when I typed it.
  5. I don't see how "You don't even want to know what I have planned for the bachelor party" isn't an adult joke at all. I'm not saying they're bad, and it made me laugh quite a bit just like "the punch has been spiked" did, but it for sure wasn't a younger kids joke. I'm pretty sure that princess Luna and Celestia can both be out in night and in the day. They were both on top of the palace earlier in the episode.
  6. I thought the Discord episode was better thought out and placed then this one. They actually had the mane 6 try and fail to defeat discord the first time and the timing and suspension felt just right. I was more emotionally connected to the Discord episode as well, and when Twilight shed that tear, it really moved me. There were no such scenes for me in that episode, and even the "Big Brother, best Friend Forever" song didn't move me close to as much as many moments in the Discord episode did.
  7. Overall, I loved the episode, It's just everyone seems to be over glorifying it, even if it was a good episode, I haven't seen a single negative thing stated about it and I saw a few.
  8. Not really, too many things still need to be fulfilled. Spike and Rarity, Cutie Mark Crusaders, Discord Return, etc.
  9. I really hope a season 3 episode is dedicated to their back story. Thinking about it, I hope one is dedicated to Discord's too.
  10. I know that everybody absolutely adored the episode, and I personally also thought it was amazing, but a few things struck me as not up to par with the episode. I watched it with three other Brony friends and they seemed to agree with me so I thought I'd share it here and see what response I get. First of all, I'd like to state that I did love it. The songs were amazing, as well as the humor and the fight scene. Pinkie was hilarous and really kept the jokes rolling in. Back on topic to the negative side, I thought the ending went way faster then it should have. The entire episode was building up and building up to that one single moment where she had complete control, then all the sudden, the elements were out of reach, Celestia had been cornered, Canterlot was in rune, and the Mane 6 were helpless, the entire thing was just fixed in a few seconds. All done. It seemed like a cop out to me, and the only other time I was upset about the ending such an episode was when they teleported out of the woods at the end of "Dragon Quest". The way they introduced the new creatures was a little over speed too. All the ponies seemed to know what they were, but they were introduced to have unbelievable power and introduced in a snap. I know all the other monsters in the past have been introduced like this (timberwolves, manticore, ice-spirit-things, etc.) but this is the first time it's disturbed me. The show producers seem to be gearing allot of their show toward the Brony audience now, such as the bachelor party joke, and the overall dark atmosphere of the episode. This is what caused many of the fans to fangasm, but could be a bad thing in the long run. The ironic target audience of the show is one of the mane things that have caused the fans to develop in such a loving and tolerant way and if the show began to be geared toward the older viewers, it really wouldn't be the same show anymore. Also the Sonic Rainboom was really upsetting to me. Whenever I usually see the Sonic Rainboom performed on the show, it always channels a decent amount of emotion through my body, but the "on demand" aspect and lack of buildup killed the mood for me, especially how Rainbow Dash did it while ascending, not even descending, and the animation on it seemed more poor then on the other times it happened. While this isn't really related to the show, I found Tori Spelling's (the one who queued the commercials every break) acting to be more then bad. Especially the Rarity scene, if anypony can find a link to that thank you Chigens. Link provided by Chigens, skip to 0:25 for the worst part, As something final to say, Luna didn't seem to give a buck. Throughout the entire episode, all the other bronies watching with me were saying "where's luna" and similar stuff to the point where I honestly thought she was going to be the one to come and save the day. That aside, when Vinyl Scratch showed up, every Brony in the room literally stood up and began to cheer.
  11. I actually never noticed his cutie mark throughout the entire episode, I did however see that on his chest-buckle-thing and just related it them being related. I like your representation of him protecting his younger sister.
  12. Sadness overtakes, but hey, might as well listen to pony music on the wait for Season 3! Nice job!
  13. I sencirely thank you for this thorough explanation of the problems that would conflict with my proposal. Most of my support for the idea actually went away after both Marco23p and Jokuc expressed their opinions against it, seeing as I had originally made it as a means of helping them get more recognition, and posts after that had just been formalities in addressing the issues they proposed as well as discussing the possibilities they brought forth. I entered this thread with the preconceived knowledge it would almost certainly not make it far, and I'm quite surprised it got as far as it did from a discussion standpoint, and I can see how heavily the presented issues outweigh any foreseeable benefits. Again, thanks for typing in that lengthy response, and I did read through all of it. You never cease to amaze me with your Administrative skills though. I'm almost certain that any other response to this on other forums would have been no more then 500 words. Seeing as it doesn't really matter now that an administrative answer has been received, rather then addressing your points, I would really like to thank you for returning to this thread to respond to the questions that I asked and provide more content for the topic overall. It may not mean much, but you've earned a decent amount of my respect for your helpfulness and quality.
  14. If you introduced this a few weeks, rather then a few hours after the season finale, then I think the vote might have been a tad different. My vote for best episode goes to Lesson Zero.
  15. The key phrase was "I'd like to". I actually agree with Doctor XFizzle in his statement that it will probably hit it's peak this Summer.
  16. Memories bring feelings in me more then sadness. My Little Dashie made me feel sad internally, and although I have never cried to fan material, these two song brought out the most emotion from me.
  17. I couldn't help but think that spikes "You don't even want to know what I have planned for the bachelor party" was more adult then it should have been. Overall the episode was great, but like the Toy Story franchise, it seems to be turning to be geared more toward it's older audience.
  18. Golden age implies downfall after the summer ends. I'd like to see 2012 as the golden year of the Bronies, or even this as the golden decade.
  19. Wow, it has an impressive rating! I'll be sure to give it a readthrough tomorrow! Edit: Apparently it's an official sequel, approved by the original author.
  20. The problem is... Normal plushies: Up to $30 MLP plushies: $200-$5,000
  21. Don't worry, I was only on 2 and I don't feel bad about it at all. Most the people I'd mentioned I had at least personal conversations with of the sort, and admired is a pretty high status to get.
  22. Finally! Thank you guys so much. This is what I have been looking for in this topic the entire time, and finally some people are offering solutions and possible edits.More links and possible solutions added, and I think this could work as a pre-judging possibility. I wish I could bro-hoof that so many times. And there goes my streak of formality I've been trying to keep on this topic. Yes, we have very sufficient, hard working moderators helping these forums, but adding work load onto their backs is never a good thing. The best way would be to implement the system in a method that discouraged spam rather then rely on the moderators as our anti-spam filter. Addressing the new members statement, I can see how members would react differently by given many responses, but the default response for a decent amount of new members is to gain all the status achievements humanly possible in an attempt to gain recognition, respect, or authority in the forums. Still, thanks for your continuing support on this idea. It's taken a load of work being the only one until you came along, and honestly, you're a little more supportive of it then I am, I was merely presenting it, but my hope for it's rising back up a little now. All too well XD I think the issue may be more related to the pushing away of possible members. I may have been driven to spam at first a tad if there had been driving motivations for it. Automatic banning for that sort of issue may cause unintentional issues, so I'm sure that sort of stuff could be taken up by our moderators if it didn't cause a large problem, but Shefire's idea could be a good tester for that. Feld0 already has a rule in the MLPForum board rules against that and he may or may not have an IP tracking way to enforce it, but he does ask members to inform him before another registers from their house. I'm actually quite interested in this! Firsthand experience is always a good thing to share! This was one of my original intentions when creating the thread, giving a little more sense of purpose for it, like with your roleplay analogy, someone with a badge in one of those might be more respected as a narrator. But on the flipside, it's been argued that it could be used to form a hierarchy on the forums and cause younger members to feel ostracized over veterans and older members of the forums. Ahh, now this I like. This I like allot. I didn't notice the "aforementioned badge" until this post, but using that as badges would sound like a good idea to me. Listing the most active forum that they participate could be a great idea. Added a link to your post in the OP Thank's for this post, I can see that you actually thought through you ideas in a way to contribute to this thread and they have helped. I would actually like to know where you would like them to be presented if they were put in.
