Do any artist friends have some advice/resources for learning how to draw for someone who has no experience ?
I'm feeling quite motivated to finally learn since it's something I've avoided for a long time thinking I'd never be good. But I know practice makes perfect so I'm willing to give it a go!

@Rainy Day I would start with an Earth pony and work my way up to Alicorn.

@Sparklefan1234 I hope so! In my experience I often have short burst of creativity then feel really bad about doing anything creative for a bit

@Rainy Day I have drawn both traditionally and digitally. If I'm being honest, starting with digital would be a good route if you own a graphics tablet. You pretty much develop the same instincts for drawing as you do with doing so traditionally. Also, it gives you a lot more freedom to make mistakes and to go back to correct them.
The program I use for my digital art work is MediBang Paint Pro. It's free and it has a lot of very useful features such as being able to rotate what your drawing and to also flip the image as well which is handy when you're trying to make sure what you're drawing is balanced and in proportion. Lots of different brushes too.
But if you don't own a graphics tablet yet, then definitely go the traditional route because drawing with a mouse is a pain in the backside.
