  1. Currently? Yoshi's Island. I'm using VGMaps to guide me through each stage to find where every Red Coin and Flower is, considering how time-consuming and tedious and challenging it is to get 100% of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING is, ahahahahahahahahahahah- I'm totally not gonna lose my sanity trying to go for everything, nah, not me, ever... //ImGoingSlightlyMad(dot)mp3
  2. Currently playing Splatoon 3! Especially since I've been throwing myself into playing Eggstra Work, attempting to crack 200 gold eggs in that particular mode and my best record is 163, and I haven't been able to top that, and I'm starting to lose faith that I can get 200...
  3. I thought it was pretty great! Especially since it just so happened to fall on my birthday. Methinks the Nintendo ninjas snuck into my house and found out that it was gonna be my birthday soon and eavesdropped... All joking aside, I loved it! I'm hyped for the Mario Kart 8 DX tracks and Splatoon 3 mainly!
  4. I'm currently playing through The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask! Gonna be workin' on getting the Goron Mask before sequence breaking to Great Bay.
  5. ...Oh. Oh, no... Oh gods no.
  6. Nintendo's E3 Direct disappointed me way beyond the normal "Well, that was somewhat mediocre!" mood. 90+% of the games shown were absolutely, pathetically, laughably, depressingly awful beyond Metroid Dread, BOTW2 and maaaaaybe Mario Party Superstars. Also the fact that Aonuma continues to double-down on that disaster "game" Skyward Sword by not even adding QoL stuff to it, and not even actually upscaling it to real HD infuriates and disgusts me to no end; Not to mention the fact that a basic function such as fast-travel is locked behind a scalped paywall? How has the man not been demoted out of being the Zelda franchise's director? I really wish Nintendo would go through and do that and bring back Yoshiaki Koizumi back to the helm to take command of the Zelda franchise because Aonuma is nowhere near competent to handle the franchise and I wouldn't trust him to be anywhere near it anymore. Eiji Aonuma is screwing it all up and screwing fans out of a real, proper anniversary by only giving fans such a dry, pathetically barebones 35th anniversary when more could have been done. What an egotistical, clueless, foolish blockhead whose head is stuck so far up his own back end that he can't hear people are sick of his nonsense. It's high time for him to be officially demoted and permanently barred/banned from the Zelda franchise.
  7. Splatoon 3 absolutely has me hyped as heck! As soon as that trailer hit, my friends and I on my Twitch friend's Discord server were all in a voice chat call and we all popped off loudly! Though I screamed like a hyped madman the loudest. xD The only absolutely awful part was the Skyward Sword "HD" part. My reasonings: It constantly bombards the player with Fi's reminders, as well as popups that happen whenever you pick up an item; Has the single worst sidekick in all of Zelda's history as a franchise; Has the worst-looking art ever; Sold extremely poorly compared to games like Ocarina and BOTW; Has the worst controls for a Zelda title; Has the worst bosses I'd ever seen for a Zelda game; Its so-called "HD remaster port" is so lazily, barely barebones, and awful-looking "upscaling" is all they'll ever do to this 10-year-old failure of a game. 3.67 mil sales globally (352k in just Japan and 2.03m for NA) for a home console Zelda "game" is laughably bad, admit it. Meanwhile, Breath of the Wild vastly outsold it by a country mile at 21.43 mil globally (1.26 mil in Japan and 4.54 mil in NA) and is way more loved and enjoyed. Yes, BOTW has problems, but Skyward Sword outnumbers BOTW in the problems department that I just listed. If that wasn't convincing enough, then maybe listing info about the game as a whole from the "Development of Zelda" page from Zelda Wiki will be a deciding factor: "Producer Eiji Aonuma would later confirm that criticism of Skyward Sword's linear structure and lack of exploration had directly resulted in the development of Breath of the Wild." "Skyward Sword had been released the year prior with one of the largest marketing campaigns in Nintendo's history and only sold 3.6 million units worldwide—far less than Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, and also coming up short of The Wind Waker." "The game stirred controversy among The Legend of Zelda's audience in the west through its linearity, excessive tutorials, and lack of an overworld. Skyward Sword was a game that didn't cater to any single audience particularly well—veteran gamers in the west or more casual gamers in Japan. Negative feedback for the game would make the development team re-examine the Zelda series' identity once more, as they had done following the release of The Wind Waker." "Skyward Sword didn't know who it was designed for, neither capturing the exploratory essence of Zelda nor appealing to Nintendo's casual audience." "Following the release of Skyward Sword, series producer Eiji Aonuma learnt that players weren't happy with the linear, restrictive nature of the game." Other than that, there was nothing else of interest for me!
  8. The 8-Bit Guy's videos are so fascinating that I've been secretly tempted into making what he does a sort of side-hobby of mine to give myself something to do! Well, maybe someday... One can dream, right?
  9. Currently? The 8-Bit Guy. Something about retro 70s/80s computers look neat... Also seeing how they look when he receives them and after retrobrighting them and cleaning them right up completely is absolutely cool!
  10. It looks alright, but I do have some slightly adverse points: 1. They could have taken some time to bring Super Mario 64 up to par with the Spyro/Crash Bandicoot remasters from a few years ago; 2. On top of the previous point, they should have also taken time to fine-tune/tweak the awful, archaic and janky camera(s) in both 64, as well as Super Mario Sunshine; 3. Throw that 100% postcard jpg ending in the dumpster where it belongs and build a whole new 100% ending so getting 100% isn't just mere "bragging rights" ; 4. Fix the massive, wildly fluctuating difficulty curve that Super Mario Sunshine has. Granted, these are rather admittedly minor nitpicks at the end of the day that could have honestly been treated, but I'll still mildly enjoy the collection nonetheless!
