romance in mlp has always been terrible i would not advise for it

im just praying to god hitch and sunny are siblings even though i kinda hate that trope too of only men can be seen around with girls as friends just because theyre siblings

I heard the biggest concern I heard so far about toys is the flat head. I guess its okay but it does feel off compared to the body type they chose. I did do a really rough edit on my phone tho to change things up lool as I heard others do same.

For the middle pic only i roughly changed some stuff not that well but ya i did on phone lol

i dont think its animeish at all?  besides hasbro itself doesnt have a main style and are open to a lot of different ideas as seen from them using many different artists in their ideas for g5 concept art

even if it was animeish - that would be a better idea in terms of marketing since hasbro has a lot of ties in japan

ok last art post outside of my art thread i swear on my life but i just wanted to show how i wouldve changed g5's artstyle and i wanna know what you guys think?


- visible eyebrows at all times
- bigger eyes
- more shapey hair like from g1
- bigger ears
-hyena like build to add depth (downhill build)
- fluffier tails

ok this has made me 10000000000x more excited the 3d model looks absolutely amazing

but i do have to ask - are sunny and izzy their canon names? if so thats kinda really confusing a pony is named something human-ish

worried but trying my best to keep my hopes up

i miss the very liminal nostalgic memories i had when i was around 3-6 being dragged everywhere with my mom to very old weird places her friends lived at. living in the south a lot of houses were still kinda vintage-y and had liminal space vibes i miss a lot. and just in general a lot of other things like being able to not have to worry about consequences and in general being happier. 

I did also enjoy going to my youth group at church even if it was really dumb at times.

unicorns: 80 years
earth: 150 years
pegasi: 90 years
alicorn: immortal by choice, so if they ever get tired or things have gone too long on i wouldnt see it as impossible for them to give their alicorn immorality away

this is just headcanons though and nothing that could be backed up as being true besides the more earth pony elders there are in the show rather than that other races

it is a little weird though that going through the magical EQG portal Twilight is then a teenager rather than an adult like in the normal pony world

i have successfully broken the tie with a vote for sombra

1) his story in the comics is way more interesting

2) i just think hes neat

definitely new plots, new story, and new characters. while mlp:fim was great i think itd be nicer to have a completely new story to get invested in rather than the same one but different in a few ways. its why i got excited about the chance of there being a new mane6. while i love og mane6 again it would just be nicer to see new characters rather than old ones. its hard to let go but youre getting something new out of it that i think everyone should give a chance.

i honestly feel like its just people not being able to let go when they say they just want more g4 stuff or the same characters. the characters and stories have already been exhausted enough. if theres a new cast and new world please give it a chance.

and i also just find it in lazy writing to rehash the same characters/personality types which is why im also against it. it just seems cheap

dang a lot of people dont like the g1 style apparently 

i just really hope g5's artstyle will be its own thing - and wont be just a rehash of g4's artstyle with a few minor details changed

horses can sometimes have cracked hooves in the middle (its pretty common) - i just thought it would be a neat idea to use that in the way i draw ponies

inspired by @Califorum's post asking what would everyone to like to see in g5 or not like to see

im wondering what everyone would want the visuals to look like? or the artstyle to be more specific

i myself would love to see the ponies in the series with more unique body types and body differences that FIM only really started getting around to late into the series as something that became common. id like to see the ponies be a bit more horse like as well. such as different colored/furred hooves and more anatomically correct body structures that g1's pilot had. not overly realistic but not extremely cartoony either. id love a middle ground like that. i want it to be its own artstyle and not take too many notes from g4's
