I can't really say for sure because G5 is still fairly new. Then again, do it really need to revive the fandom? I don't think so. The fandom is fine as it is, even after G4 ended. Let's not focus too much on the status of the fandom, and focus on G5 itself. As long as G5 is entertaining and watchable, then that's all that matters.

If the source is actually true, then I'm okay with it. It would be nice if some the G4 characters in G5, but it was probably for the best since I want G5 to be its own thing. Otherwise, we'll be watching the same show from the previous generation.

That's fair and respectable, but you know what? You're absolutely right. I will admit, your right. I was thinking about Twilight post S4 because there's not much you can do with her after she got her wings and a castle. With Season 4 itself, I can understand why Twilight was focused less (and save it for Twilight's Kingdom) because the season wants to focus on the other main characters and give them some character development. For the most part, they handled it well. I don't know, maybe because Season 5 had three fantastic episodes of the show (Amending Fences, Crusaders of The Lost Mark, and Slice of Life) that I can forgive Season 5 for everything that happened. But now I think about it, Season 5 had a lot more bad than good. As wired as Season 4 was, at least there's a lot of memorable moments that I actually do like. Season 5 didn't have any of that. It was forgettable, middling, and kinda bland. With the Season 5 finale, this is where the show went downhill from there. But yeah, as much as I love a couple of S5 episodes, I'll take Season 4 over Season 5 any day, despite its shortcomings (like Season 1-3). The reason why I find Season 3 to be mediocre is because compare to Season 2, I find 3 to be forgettable. Don't get me wrong, I used to watch Season 3 alot (through brony reaction videos) back then, but once I rewatched Season 2 again last year, I find Season 2 to be much better than I remember. Not to say Season 3 was bad (I actually do like Sleepless in Ponyville), I just find Season 2 to be a bit better. But that's just me.

Hot take: I actually like this episode. It's the most underrated and underappreciated episode of the season, especially for a CMC episode. It was so hilarious to me. Plus, I ship Cheerilee and Big Mac. Deal with it! I know that a lot of people don't like Big Mac and Cheerilee's lovey-dubey baby talk and calling it cringey, but that's the point. It's supposed to be cringey. Plus, the CMC already grossed out by it, and that's what makes it even funnier. I'll give it an 8/10.

I'm not too crazy about the Yaks. I thought they were annoying and unnecessary. I wanted to like the Changelings, but the Season 6 finale killed it for me.

Um, wacky hi-jinks, I guess? Yeah, Just for Sidekicks is a pretty terrible episode.

Bridle Gossip is the most underrated episode for me. It was so funny and quoteable.

Well, the only good thing that I liked about the ending was the final song, and that's about it. Honestly, I'm pretending that everything that happened in Season 6-9 never existed (with a couple of exceptions), and the finale was the cherry on top of the crap cake. It really boggles my mind that Josh Haber and Co. never looked at these scripts thinking, "hey, maybe this is not a good idea." Discord played the characters throughout the final season, yet he gets away with it scot-free. Celestia and Luna retiring was a bit insulting because there's no reason for them to give Twilight the throne without any proper guidance. On top of that, Celestia never gives Twilight any proper princess guidance after Twilight became an alicorn. I'm not too crazy about the Twilestia thing either. She looks pretty awful. Spike looks terrible. And the rest of the Mane 6 didn't help matters as they look like they'll might be dead and Twilight will outlive them. Man, I missed the day when the show was all friendship, magic, and fun. Now, it's a convoluted mess.

All of them are adorable, but the best for me is Apple Bloom (for obvious reasons).

No. Not at all anymore. There are much better shows I can think of the top of my head that are much better than FiM.

This might be an unpopular take here, but Season 4 was a very middling season overall. It rides back off of a very mediocre third season, and the writers are trying to figure out what to do with Twilight after she became a princess. Most of the time, it doesn't work because she didn't get to do much of anything. She just there. Twilight in S4 was the same character from the previous seasons, excepts wings and less snarky. The only time that she actually get to do something was the S4 finale (and to some extent Three's A Crowd), but that's about it. Another thing about Season 4 is that it has a lot of questionable writing choices that left me scratch my head. Why is Applejack being so overprotective to Apple Bloom, despite being old enough to to take care of herself? Why is Pinkie Pie saying a whole bunch of nonsense to Fluttershy for no reason(granted, does it excuse people going after Amy Keating Rodgers for that? No! But still, I just find it weird.)? Why is there a interdimensional comic book in Equestria? You know what I mean. I get that they are overexaggerated just for jokes, but I don't know, I don't find it all that funny. The Rainbow Power did had a lot of potential and it had a decent concept, but the execution was hit and miss. We have great episodes like the Cheese Sandwich episode, Rarity in Manehatten episode, and Twilight's Kingdom. But we also go bad ones like Rainbow Falls episode, a boring Applejack episode, and that forgettable Fluttershy corporate-shilling episode featuring the Breezies. While the overall story was fine. but I wish the bad episodes were written better, but that's just me. With me, I'll take Season 4 over ANYTHING that happened in S6-9, but I find it very forgettable compared to first two seasons. There are some things in Season 4 that I will give credit to. I love Coco Pommel. She's adorable. The Cheese episode was fun. Twilight's Kingdom was God tier. While I'm not a big fan of Maud Pie, her introduction episode was very solid. Even though Season 4 was so much better than Season 3, but Season 5 holds up much better, to some extent. So...yeah. Season 4. Definitely a weird season.

Now, this is something that I'm looking forward to, and I'm hoping it stays good.

Eh, I'm not too crazy about legs. It looks way too awkward. The wings are okay, but eh. The animation looks way too stiff. However, I'm holding off my opinions and it just an animation test. Maybe it will improve once the shorts launched, so I'll give them more time.

I'm always one of those people who give things a fair chance, but this does not impressed me at all. I'm not interested in checking it out the whole Tell Your Tale series myself, but I'll check out a trailer or one short to see if it looks tolerable. Maybe it will grow on me, maybe it won't? Who knows.

I'm not going to write off G5 as a shitshow just yet since it already started and it's very unfair to write off G5 as "a bad generation" just because the 2D art style of Tell Your Tale and the G5 Movie VAs are not coming back. Let's wait and see how Tale Your Tale and Make Your Mark turned out before we start complaining Besides, G5 cannot be any worse than G3...
