  1. I have the same feeling. The 2D is good and I would be totally fine with TYT if they were longer. I don't watch it. Not because I don't like it. The ideas are soo good. It's a pity that these scenarios are used on 5-minute shorts. I still miss some of the mystery in G5. It's so casual compared to the G4. I would definitely prefer strong, better-made 2D than what we currently have. Very little 3D and only so-so 2D. I would like more content from G5 but... man, It's time to get real. I hope MyM won't end after chapter 6. I also wonder how long TyT will be produced if this is the last moment of MyM. Will it continue into next year or the year after that, or will we get something new? What could it be? I don't like the fact that MyM is exclusive to Netflix. I feel like this isn't good for the new generation.
  2. The music in the upcoming chapter seems to be so beautiful. I have the impression that from some point the people responsible for G5 stopped doing everything possible to make this generation fail. I like the Hitch line. They all sound really great, but Hitch shines. Even as a die-hard fan of G4, I'm starting to find my own little place in all of this.
  3. MyM has much less activity. MyM is only available on Netflix. We get 2-3 hours of shows a year. How did TyT get more profit? What a great mystery... The biggest mistake for the series was signing an exclusive deal. The G5 would be more sought after if it was available on Youtube channels, on TV and live. I've stopped watching Netflix myself and I want to stay away. Difficult access to free MyM causes the series to lose potential audience. Whoever wants to watch it without Netflix... will watch it anyway so. I hope, however, that plans for MyM will be updated. Personally, I am calm and give 10 bucks that in September / October we will get updates on the next chapters or the decision to pause / or end. If chapters 5 and 6 are in an advanced stage of completion, it's safe to announce them, if work on the next chapters could potentially continue, then there's no need to put pressure on it if we do one chapter, two or four next year. Just make it well. Single sentences have been extracted from the entire segment. I don't see the fairness in this. For me, the key information is that the whole narrative is about 2023. Statistics are weird to me too. More than one video from FiM has as many views as all of TyT for 4 months. Many songs have much more. If we go to the official MLP channel check streams, G4 has 200-300 viewers while G5 has around 10. EG also has more viewers.... Bright. Videos from FiM have had a long time to get such views I know. FiM ended 4 years ago... I don't understand the comparison then. Is this a good sign? I mean... a show that hasn't had any updates in 4 years And a show that's still in the works? These stats are just laying the groundwork for decision making. Too bad they're not real. What kind of fool would believe that TyT is the bigger success of the entire franchise. It totally isn't. And that the value of the basket jumped up numerically ... I think it's not a question of the great success of the new show. Prices from 2022-2023 have gone up terribly, including toys ... I'm not into US topics, but it seems to me that the policy that is increasingly leaning towards social treatment of people (raising the minimum salary, for example) has an impact on the fact that the value of purchases even if it is greater on the bill, it does not have to be proportionally so. It's like... People make $5 a month and spend $2 on food... let's write a law that they have to earn at least $10... hardly anyone notices that food starts to cost $5... is it really good is to say that "our profits increased by 100%"? I don't see it that way. Stupidities. Do not get me wrong. I like G5, I wish TyT was longer, but I feel great ideas are lost there. Something that has the potential for 20 minutes closes in 5 minutes. Pity. I feel the information is trying pretty hard to be manipulative.
  4. I've noticed a lot of people say that the lack of an announcement means that this whole Starlight special will end the MyM series. I don't see it that way. The bar is just about 2023. We don't know what the exactly plans are for 2024. I think if Chapter 5 and 6 were to be the last, this information would appear here... TyT has a very simple animation... and it's safe to announce it. I also think that the next chapters may just be in the process of development and it's better to announce what is already in the completion stage than not to keep the word or delay it. Well... my answer is worth as much as the answer saying that MyM is ending. I'm optimistic and I say that's not true. I think we'll find out in August, before the official announcement of new chapter what the policy towards the series will be. By the way... I personally wouldn't mind TyT if it had a slower pace and longer episodes. It doesn't make sense to me. "No official information about the two upcoming chapters" but "we will tell you about the another next two". It might actually be better to have a restrained policy, not to release another crap like chapter 1 due to technical issues etc. and it may be that MyM will get even more content than expected. I think there are many variables here. We have to wait at least until the next chapters will be released. No one can correct you because no one knows for sure.
  5. I hope that's true. After chapter 4 I think MyM is at least super awesome. The worst part of this rumor is that we have to wait until the end of summer. I expected that. On the one hand, I totally don't want it (welcome back to school and goodbye holiday) and on the other, I'm going to wait for it now so bad. Damn
  6. And that's exactly how it should be done. Chapter 4 is epic, all the episodes have been fantastic to me. Still a weak FiM to me, but the G5 does a pretty good job on its own. The only episode I liked less was Pipp being sick, but in the end there was plenty of time for the rest of the characters in it. I didn't think it would happen, but I liked Pipp. It is a pity that this generation is condemned to such little activity. I wish the chapters were longer. I'm pissed that TyT has so many great ideas for great episodes and they're wasted on 5 minute gags. I like TyT, TyT's drawing etc. but it's too short for me. The animation has improved so much... chapter 4 has well written dialogues, it weren't as random as in chapter 1 for example. The characters here were very natural. Their ship works very well. I'm worried about Sunny's direction. Initially, she seemed to be the most planned character. Currently... ugh... I hope they take care of her. Being compatible with everything, accepting everything, etc. takes away character and unfortunately I can see that in her now. The only thing I miss is such a greater development of the environment and side characters. I feel like everything is so... small. It doesn't make me think less about the show, besides I get it, the 2-3 hours we get a year is not too much time to waste on crap.
  7. Someone up, very wise said that many things still need time and development Dash > Zipp I preferred Dash over Zipp. In general, I think that they are very different characters... sure, a lot of people say that Dash is too full of herself and very cocky... but someone who liked her more (or at least gave her more chances) certainly also noticed moments when she stopped being like that... for example for Scootaloo, for the Daring Do... She also knew when to stop, and she also knew when she could afford to continue being rude and tease. I think there were more confident characters than Rainbow in offensive way. Spitfire, Lighting Dust - at least in the episode she appeared in. You can easily see how different "confident" can be. It seems to me that even if they cross the line, they still wouldn't care. Rainbow isn't like that. Though you might think so because of her recklessness but she always admitted to the problems her behavior caused. It doesn't change the fact that Zipp is my favorite G5 character. I like how she was following her dreams in movie, being herself, believing in herself. She's cool. Really cool. More than cool. Izzy > Pinkie A lot of G4 episodes made Pinkie looks like a fool. And just a fool. I know she had her moments, we had a chance to see her as a good friend, version without her "smile energy" etc... but Izzy doesn't have to stop being herself to show her other sides. Hitch > Fluttershy I just like Hitch. Fluttershy was indifferent to me. She's important because it sometimes gave others a chance for certain behavior. I really liked her and Rainbow for the episode about the hurricane. Great duo. It was fun to see two different characters trying to help each other. Fluttershy always reminded me of a typical anime character. Don't ask... Twilight > Sunny Maybe some things just happened too fast for me. I like Sunny, but all those seasons in which Twilight worked to become the best student, facing hundreds of problems, missions and characters... from a student to a princess and a representative of the value of friendship... let's just say she was in right position. I get annoyed with Sunny who has good advice for everyone, somewhere in all this she loses the modesty for which I liked her in the movie. I'm mainly saying this through the lens of TyT. This has to be said. TyT doesn't have much time to specifically dwell on problems. The form of the episode and the transcript must be simplified to fit in these few minutes. Pipp > Rarity Pipp, putting aside being an influencer for a moment, seems to be an intelligent character. She's a bit dramatic, but usually for better reasons than a lost hairpin or a soiled hoof tip. Rarity was indifferent to me in G4, I didn't pay attention to her... I didn't even have to get annoyed at her for her stupid actions because the rest of the manes did it well enough. Misty > Applejack Applejack doesn't seem to have a match... so she has to stay alone here... kind, supportive, modest and hard working... It's impossible not to like her. But the second pony this time from G5 that doesn't have a good matchup with G4 is Misty. So I'm giving them extra here. And I like Misty much more. I find her quiet actions funny and how she gets away with them. Her explanations, caughts are just awesome. Misty is by the way one of the best characters in G5 to be honest... for me I discover this kindness a bit in Misty. Works hard for Opaline's recognition. She is always helpful to her. It's hard to say whether it's because of her character or more because of fear or the desire to get a mark.
  8. I haven't heard a similar opinion yet, or I've read answers that were too difficult for me, but... well... This short post made me think the same. I think there are very few people who liked all the manes the same... I mean, everyone had their own type. Favorite one. And it's not that the rest of the Mane6 were not liked ... they were needed for our favorite character of course - for example AJ. She gave me a lot of reasons to like RD more, but she was indifferent in herself for me. My favorites were Rainbow and Twilight... and I had a hard time watching the episodes without them... I can say I didn't watch episodes without them. And it's not like my example is the only truth. A lot of people love Fluttershy and don't like RD. It's a matter of taste. Some people find shyness sweet but I personally love confidence. Nothing wrong. But that only means the truth is that a lot of people didn't care about the rest of cast so much. Me either. But I understand how important these characters are. I don't feel it in G5, I like every character. I hated Pinkie Pie (although she had moments where I understood that my opinion about her is reallyunfair) but Izzy is awesome - I find some similarities in these characters so I put them in the same row if we talking about role. And oh man... I won't list everything, the only character I can't stand is Pipp - but only sometimes. The phone cult and rushing for followers drives me crazy, but Pipp as herself is a cool character I think. Anyway... 4/5 likeable characters sounds better than 2/3 right? And yes. The development of the male characters here is a big thing. But I feel the difference in Hitch from the movie (by the way I liked him more then) and now. It's not bad, but different. From myself, I will simply add to the topic the longevity of the antagonists in the series. The format in G4 was simple, episode first and last in season. Here Opaline plays her part throughout the chapter/season and I like it. I hope there will be more villains in the future and they will be more active.
  9. I think very much like you. I mean... I like the movie a lot, but at the end it took on a weird really fast pace. The action went on statically for an hour or more and suddenly in those 10-15 minutes we have a moment of confrontation and problem solving. That is a bit strange. I had the impression that the movie supposed to be longer in plans. Anyway it was very cool to see new characters, new places... they were very atmospheric. It's definitely better to try do something bigger and fail than do something distasteful and definitely too small.
  10. Tempest Shadow I loved everything about this character. From the motives that made her "evil", through voice, facial expressions, acting - calm, focused, with a plan [...] - everything was perfect. For me, she wasn't good only at being just a villain, she's one of the top characters in the MLP universe. Really top. Something like TOP3. It's a pity... she had so little time. I don't know if she appeared in the comics because I haven't read I also like Opaline a lot, but I don't know if that still fits in the topic. I hope she becomes more confrontational in the next chapter and doesn't become such a joke - a ranged troublemaker only.
  11. Hm... I think the biggest problem in this type of conversation is mixing emotional opinions with those that have some really logical things to speak. It's easy to tell when first type of people are making emotional claims and and second type when they're actually seeing real issues. I think that opinions built on emotions should not be simply negated, anyway they never have any value in a discussion and lead to unnecessary quarrels when someone additionally hits it... but it is true that people who have similar feelings always form groups . If it helps them vent their frustration and make them feel better, they'll find someone to company with then hell why not? They won't become G5 fans anyway and I don't think they've done much harm to the new generation. I can't comment your whole message, I haven't been in the fandom that long... I joined when season 9 ended. That's why I don't know what the mood here was in previous seasons So sorry, but I appreciate and trust what you write. I know a bit of what you're talking about because I liked the first seasons a bit more. The next ones were simply better made in my opinion - more vivid colors, animation... needless to say what I mean. The script suffered in my opinion, but that's just my own feeling Personally, after chapter two, I really liked the new team and I say that they need time... I can't wait for new chapters. Fim was almost 10 years old, G5 is barely 3...
  12. Honestly, I think the G5 enthusiasts are as right as the G4 loyalists, of which I belong. I understand DPBOX's opinion and I like it... even though it's very rough. I also understand a lot of comments on Youtube. People have a right to be pissed that their favorite show has been replaced with something that isn't as good... there's no arguing that gen 5 is worse than gen 4 on every point. All right? A good show will defend itself, no need to blame it on G4 loyalists if it will fail or failing. When I was younger watching FiM was the last thing you could admit to and everyone was doing it... but now? Everyone is very happy to be a part of this. G4 is the Grail. I think the most we can talk about is the technical and marketing side. It's hard to judge G5 now, two years ago and in general for now. When it's over, maybe then. What I'm most pissed off about is that TyT being so short. Episode ideas are fantastic! I'm annoyed by the gap between Chapters with MyM... Because of all these things, a lot of people rate G5 similarly to DPBOX'a and damn... aren't they right? They're right... and besides, they're just opinions, everyone's entitled to their own. Someone likes the G4, someone else prefers the G5 and I, for example, like both generations. I would love TyT to last 15-20 minutes. This is a good time to feel the vibe of the episode, to understand the atmosphere. I wish the chapters were a bit longer too and less lazy. In chapter 2, I had the impression that Opaline would start playing the next... and the next... and the next... until the chapter ended. The least objective thing is that it annoys me that people in the comments on Youtube have such great ideas and concepts for history and development it. And I'm not talking about the fandom that created such cupcakes pasta or made the characters sexual threat... but really about people who feel the atmosphere, know who the main target is and can write a script in front of a computer being only fans. They know how to add some darkness to it for the more mature audience, which is in MLP, but they also know how to interest the younger part. This is exactly what the script looked like in the 2017 film. It was divine. I'm optimistic and looking forward to what's next. I think I would like the characters a lot more if I could spend more time with them. This is why I don't like generation 5. It's just underdeveloped.
  13. I am happy with the development and that we can experience it. I read what you write and wonder... I feel great discouragement from everything, but look at it from this side... we have calculators, after all, it is worth developing the ability to count quickly and many people do it... we have various industrial and transport machines, so what are gyms for? You don't have to lift heavy things... and even if you have to, you'll never be as strong as any weakest forklift or crane... so what is the point of getting stronger? Despite this, people develop these things, do their workout to become stronger, better... should anyone ever think of counting faster than a calculator, being stronger than a crane or running faster than a car? Why do it if we can never overperform it? AI is human-made... and it moves on what human have done. Remember that. It learns art from our art, It creates characters from characters that people have made. If there are also side effects and novelties in all this... so much the better for us. You are not and will not be limited by the lack of time or simply the monetary policy of giants such as Hasbro. Just because you can't surpass the machine... whether it is... chess or knowledge - doesn't mean you shouldn't develop yourself as a human being and the things you love to do. And if the effect of automation and AI is that 1,000 people don't have to sit in a factory and not salt chips or driving thousands of kilometers by truck... then I'm all for automation. There are so many better things to do than doing tedious jobs. And if anyone wants to drive a truck around the US and if someone wants to eat chips seasoned by themselves, then go ahead and feel free. If it will be better... you'll be a millionaire for sure. I know AI is a bit of a different thing, but somehow I've learned to think that everything is always better than we think. It's just my point of view. I'm curious when AI will start learning from itself, and if it will happen at all? I'm sure people will start overseeing it then... besides, if we find these things too abstract, unfunny and unnecessary - just inhuman... we won't support it and hype will fall. I just hope it will contribute to our development. It's a bit of talking about a topic that didn't happen. AI is something new and there is nothing smart to say here. There's a part in people that causes we want to take back the other person and not the machine... let's just look at esport, a long time ago we could see bots playing matches on the highest possible settings... and yet we want teams, we want players, we want emotions, characters... you know what I mean? Just because the AI draws well or makes music well, doesn't mean that making music or drawings by you doesn't make sense any longer. It makes sense as long as you're having fun with it. Whatever it is. And AI may someday help you grow in it. I don't like panic over this. People panicked when computers came along and today we write posts on the forum about ponies. We have great sound quality, beautiful animations... We play games, watch movies... I heard they were supposed to take over the world. That's what my grandfather told me laughing while scrolling through his tiktok. But surely computers can do a lot of harm too. In the same way, ATMs were supposed to take away jobs in banks at the lowest levels - that's an old-fashioned rumour, too . How is it actually? Bank employees have turned more into intermediaries in concluding contracts, loans, etc. Sellers. Part of me is happy to be here, another part of me would like to be back in the Queen Gambit era where there were no cameras and phones everywhere and you weren't part of the media whether you like it or not. Part of me would like to go back to a time when kings like Leonidas led their men on the battlefield rather than sitting in bunkers and recording 1,000 videos of possible developments to use. Hosting themselves in palaces of gold while soldiers die on their orders in the mud... there are developmental defects, but I also wouldn't want to die of a disease that today it is ridiculously easy to treat or walk around with an aching tooth for a few months or wait for a wandering extractor that you may have died by sepsis. There are two sides to the coin. However, I see more pluses in development. You can be an awesome person around your family and friends... or a drooling moron who can't do anything and doesn't care about anything because of the AI. It's your choice.
  14. It's not a stupid idea, it just depends on which direction it would go. To be honest, a reboot could do right what G4 did wrong, let's face it - G4 had its flaws. There's no reason to make it sacred. The scenario we have in G5 would definitely fit better in the G4 dimension. I personally don't like the intertwining of technology and fantasy. At least in this case. For me, the biggest problem with the G5 is that it just isn't there. I'm not surprised people don't like it and want G4 back if all we have is 8-9 episodes and a movie - for 3-4 years... and the prospect that the new chapter will only bring 6-7 new episodes after a year of waiting. There's still TyT but omg, this is more of an antidote for G4 fans, even though there are a lot of great episode ideas but they are wasted on like 5 minute shorts... It's too short a time to feel the atmosphere of the episode. THIS IS THE WORST. That's why many people call it gags. Also TyT can't overtake MyM too much. In G5 I also notice that not everyone can find something for themselves there at this moment. G4 had funny Pinkie, confident Dash, smart Twilight, shy Flutter, helpful Applejack or Rarity type... In G5, the characters are not so different, they do not have such divergent goals etc. I bet you know what I mean. But it's not the characters' fault. They just didn't have enough time. Mane6 would also sound lazy if they only had a few episodes to show off. Check this out - Athlete, Fashion Designer, Animal Caretaker, Farmer and "Student-Teacher"... They had dozens of episodes... and a nice fandom. G5 had little space, so the fandom is also smaller. It feels different when you watch a movie that has one part than a series that lasts 15 years. You relate to the characters differently and they have a different value to you. It's been so long. I think it's safe to say that the G5 is weak. You can fool yourself and wait for the next chapters, but in truth, see what G4 has done in this time and where G5 is. A reboot would be a huge risk. A lot of people would be disgusted by the changes to their characters or the world, others would have different expectations of where it would go. It could be suicide. It could be much worse... or better. I think the best decision would be to make a decent G5 series with 3-4 seasons that have 20-30 episodes each. 2D. Don't get me wrong, the 3D animation is great, I really enjoyed the movie and both chapters (except the first one), but if the cost is such a low pulse... then I'd rather have more frequent and well done 2D. One thing is for sure. Money is important... and as long as there is money in the G5, so will the G5. Certainly, the gains will not be as large as in the previous generation ... so this generation will be shorter. There will always be money, but goals for large corporations are too. I think a lot of the today results are still from the G4. And yeah... it was 1st April.
  15. I don't think that longevity affects profitability or not. It's all about quality. There are so many longer things that are gaining popularity. And they are twice or three times longer than FiM. The problem with FiM is that the best ideas have been finished. We often saw the same problems in the next seasons. Mane6 achieved a lot of their aspirations and dreams. A lot of issues from earlier seasons have been explained in the newer ones. I don't know how G4 could be continued. Personally, I really enjoyed the adventure episodes (Daring Doo, The Movie etc). But it was interesting to me probably because I knew the herd already. Whatever there were still many places and characters to develop. I don't see any big differeces between new generation and G4... technology has appeared, the animation is done in 3d - but I don't know if it's necessary - and that's all. G5 had an excellent start. It's a pity that someone put glue on the soles and everything is progressing so slowly. It certainly doesn't help. The hype has already dropped a lot. We'll see what Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 bring. I just hope they will be longer and they will interest people as much or more. People are very flexible. Today's declines do not mean that something should end or it will end in proportion to these declines. The main thing in this case is not to do the same. And unfortunately G5 does. I don't see good reasons to end G4 if G5 does the same things but with different characters. Nobody should then expect better results... from sales or viewership. This applies to recent FiM seasons as well as current MyM Chapters. The fact that the last seasons were watched by fewer people does not mean that potentially the next ones would be even less attended. I don't think the generation from G4 would fall for sure. People who grew up on this are adults today, their children will surely play with the "old" generation for a looong long time. And the argument - that we live today in the age of the telephone and the Internet - is banal.
  16. Nice concept. I like all of them except Zipp. I prefer her in the current colors. She reminds someone of RD here - but more like Tempest to me... Her mane is definitely better on the concept. And those stars on Hitch. I know he's a sheriff, but it doesn't mean he has to look like a cop car since childhood. But very well chosen colors for him.
  17. To be honest the show is really cool. The biggest flaw so far for me is that it's been a long time... and we have got a few episodes, movie and special. And that's all. TyT would be so much cooler if it lasted a little longer - for example ten minutes. (Better than 5, worse than 15 - But I think 10 would be enough for that sense of humor and animation) Movie was boring, but beautifully made. Like today I was looking at scenes from it and... just wow. And there were some nice songs. The series was the best. It's a pity it only had 8 episodes. It's good and it's not. There could be more episodes if there was a good idea for them. After 8 there is curiosity. After 16 it could be boring and lazy. If it was still about Misty and Opaline. I think everyone expects this issue to be solved in the next episodes. The Winter Special was boring. But nicely done though. TyT is too short. And there was chapter 1 that didn't happen in my head, disappointing, poor, without idea. The only thing it added was earth pony magic, which took the least amount of time. It might as well not have happened. So I like it, but I can't to get more into the world and like it more and the characters too. Previous generation had 3 times more time in seasons to show us something. How to deal with it? It's gonna be okay, just needs to be further developed. I have no problem with connects to the G4. But I want something new. Own. I think people are right to be concerned about this. I've always been a strong fan of it, but today I'm afraid of a repeat and killing own concepts. I hope it's not.
  18. really cool, chapter 2 is million times better than whole movie and first special together... as I hoped but It's a pity it's so short. There's still a lot to improve, but at least it's not bad. The animation is much better done. It's not as good as in the movie but it's not as bad as in chapter 1. The only thing I miss now is the lack of developed characters - and I don't mean Mane, they are cool. The antagonists are also interesting. But I have a feeling that the new main characters are the only ones thinking there. Only they care about magic and orderliness. Or does it seem to only me? In G4 we had Celestia and many many more and here? The highest personality seems to be Queen Heaven but please... I don't worry about it because there wasn't much time. Chapter 2 didn't even take us to Bridlewood Forest if I remember well. I can't wait for the next series. I haven't watch TyT since 20th episode so I don't know if it mentions anything about the plot or not.
  19. For me, this episode was awesome. But it's a pity it was so short.
  20. I don't see any point where the G5 is better. The series starts in September, maybe it will change something. So far, history has been repeatable at every possible step (in the game, in the special and in the movie), the world is small and closed. These are big steps backwards. The animation is terrible at times. Although I heard that there was a lot of pressure that the first special had to be released before it was finished (I'm talking about technical side). I also have a problem with characters. Maybe it's because I found some patterns in the G4 and the G5 doesn't repeat them with the new manes. For example - If anyone liked the kidness and shyness of Fluttershy - won't find it here. If anyone thinks they'll find at least some of Twilight's wisdom in Sunny - will be disappointed. Because comparing Sunny to Twilight is like taking the clown and Hawking in the same row. I don't know if there is any Alicorn in all generations that as stupid as Sunny is. Probably not. And to tell you the truth, Sunny probably isn't Alicorn at all. She is an earth pony who has a specific kind of magic, different from the others. I liked her and she was a cool character. But in TyT she it has one goal - to speak simplicity that every child can write. You have to keep thinking that Sunny is good just at being Sunny. So basically, Sunny loses the title of the stupidest Alicorn of the entire franchise. She is an above-average earth pony. If you haven't seen the G5 so far, you haven't lost anything. And if you've watched the first 100 FiM episodes, you'll probably feel like me and wonder how they could screw up such a good show. Maybe the next 100 episodes would explain that to me in G4. Idk. Let's wait for the series. For now, there are not enough things to judge the entire generation, but if we are going to judge what has been so far, it is very bad and poor. At least for me.
  21. For me, this is based on the activity of other users. Sometimes I spend an hour a week and sometimes I can spend a few hours a day. I like to share my thoughts - I do it often because I want to become more self-aware and writing helps me a lot with that. It helps me fix my thinking and make the right decisions. I'm not a person who thinks too much, but forum topics are a place where I can do it for a while. Thanks to the forum, I am up to date with what is happening on the show. I follow a lot of series and don't have much time to be engaged in one. Besides, I like to get to know other people's opinions and learn new things. Unless they are naive and hit my foundation. I don't force anyone to think my way. And I don't want to be forced too. Much of my messages are written only for me. I'm glad when someone agrees with it. Even more so if someone shows me something new or develops what I have known so far.
  22. These are simple things Landi. They can be explained with a single line of text in a comic book or show. A more serious problem (for me) is fact that the show so far has been very boring and with no perspective for a longer series. Conflicts were a big part of the G4 and the world took on depth as a result. It wasn't so candy ... at this point, conflicts are immediately punished by taking magic from ponies. It's blackmail and big dot. There is a very high probability that we do not understand everything today - I hope so. Maybe this is the usual trick of the creators to make the story stick together... Or maybe powerful Twilight spell? We will find out. I can see big differences in the engagement of the director's pen. And it's not about taking care of present problems from real life, tolerance etc. or technology. The show simply doesn't encourage you to stay longer. Mane5 hadn't got a lot of time to introduce themselves. For me TyT is more cooler than MyM's special and movie from 2021. I miss the mystery from the previous generation: creatures, places... and attention to characters from background. They are there but just to be. Anyway the fifth generation has very little room to actually judge it. This is probably the mainly reason why I follow it still. I remember when I was watching 2017's movie. I didn't want to check time to know how much is left to the end - it was so cool to me. When I was watching the new generation, I had to take 4 breaks. Somehow I was not bought by the atmosphere of looking for friends, dancing duels or bad sheriff. The new generation's movie had a lot of motives from G4. I guess thanks to that I survived to the end. It's not bad... It is very med. Very very med. I'm curious to see how MyM will handle it in the 20 minute format. I hope it will be good. Finally, I agree with Albatross's every opinion. If it will be a trash - I will be happy because I will cut myself from it... and if it will be a good show... then I will get a good show, right? Cant wait to the september
  23. I hope you are more right about what you write than me@CloudMistDragon September will be an interesting month
  24. Yes Dragon. But I meant national MLP channels. (like MLP Russia, Italiano [...]) They are not pirated, don't you think? Letupita doesn't seem to be pirated too. It has around 5mln subs. Lets notice that current MLP starts with a very wide audience achieved by the previous generation. And don't treat it like it doesn't any matter. Because it does a lot... This can be very good starter blocks or... a very heavy ball and chain on the pool. So for me, a declining viewership trend is a sign that something has gone wrong. But okay, it doesn't have to be for everyone right? So... I watched it myself. I checked it myself. And I have to say that there are many reasons about which I wrote above. Still it's just my feelings. I recommend you to do it, watch a G4 special or a movie and watch the first episode of G5 in two hours. You will feel the difference. And it's huge. This is a general change. It's not about places, models, graphics... anything else. This is all about the director's pen lol. Let's not blame the fact that the G5 is just beginning. This does not mean that it has to be written so poor. I thought I was very strict about new Mane, but reading the comments on many videos, I realized that I was not the only one who noticed some bad things. And I don't want a repeat G4 ofc. I want something consistent and not written on someone knee. You have something carefully created and something done chaotic. MyM special is like that. < I have no other words to summarize what I wrote in the previous message. The movie had an idea for itself. It was sticky I mean... good planned, interesting dialogues but boring. It could be boring because it was the start. Understandable. MyM is a mini repeat. We have to wait for the show next 2 months. Maybe the G5 will work better in the 20-minute format? I hope so. I want to feel something fresh and new here. Finally I really like about G5 it isn't as pink as G4 was. Many people might like it. All right. But if it does not fail we will find out in a next months. Looking at how they wrote their first special and that it is a micro rerun of the movie, what are the story points (maybe more it's a dots? lmao), what it all was, that's the characters after one years still are like water in toilet (I don't mean Zipp and Izzy, they are much different. And they give the impression of being the main characters, apart from being just in the center of the screen. Sunny was original in the movie. At TyT and MyM, she is a sponge so far)... Oh I don't see it. I'm afraid this story won't be longer than 2 or 3 seasons. If this is a success for you then okay. I wish it was at least half as good as FiM was. If it keeps the course, it will definitely not be. Unless these three seasons will be a success in your opinion which you are talking about. Finally, Hasbro won't plan anything more than 2 or 3 seasons I think. Unless it will be really good. But it doesn't look like it will for now.
  25. I don't know, this is crazy for me. Today I watched roadtrip special from G4. I felt a big sentiment so I watched first MyM's episode again too. And oh gosh... It's not like "it's too early to judge that" or "lets a give a chance and wait for". Something is really wrong. The difference is huge. I don't know why. It's not about new characters, times or lines. Maybe it's because of Netflix? TyT is pretty well. But TyT is just a TyT. And someone would have to have the ultra talent to screw up it. You don't need a year or two to judge it. It's like watching Mr. Bean and thinking that maybe he'll get smart someday. I try to be cool and don't hate anything. I respect the others' opinion and I don't want to offend anyone. But facing it. The dialogues are simple and predictable. Implemented so without an idea that it's a pity for me to left a comment on it. For example. Zipp suddenly asking Sunny about her magic or running into Hitch's office. It's ridiculous. It was just that this scene (and other) completely did not match at all what was happening on the screen before. It was like... someone and somehow had to put these scenes to create any problem. They had no idea how to start it. And they started terribly weak. I have the impression that someone is doing it all by force. Something is missing. I don't know what it is, maybe commitment? Let's leave the technical aspects like dubbing or animation. They are just okay... And Zipp, do they only have an idea for it? Izzy is also cool different from the rest. Sunny is so candy that donuts start crying. Omg... Maybe someone will say that I am exaggerating. But then try to do the same what I did. Watch the movie / special from 2017 and watch the current special. One by one. Everyone will clearly see it. 3D ate up the entire budget of being 3D, and it wasn't enough for writers. Lol In the old generation, I also only liked two of the six. It wasn't that I didn't like the rest. They didn't interest me that much, but they were very important. Every character was unique and do something own the best. Here they just are. They only have different professions. The differences are small. Someone uses the phone, someone sells cocktails and that's it. Storyline is weird too. In the previous generation, there were still arguments between the races. Imagine it. RD arguing with Rarity about Fashion... then black clouds and a storm appear at the time the earth collapses, creating a black hole into truly abyss. (Okay, I know, the problems are a bit more serious here, just kidding)But come on... Here the disputes immediately cause cataclysm and destabilization of the crystals. One active pony who doesn't really like magic destroys all the rest of the three cities. (we can say that the rest is not like that, they are only suggested by her, not for real hating magic) And this topic about envies pegasi and unicorns... I'm not buying it. Before that, everyone knew their role and felt important to themselves. They felt important to others too. Luckily, someone remembers something from G4. And noticed that the earth ponies were taking care of the land. I like the idea of giving them magic. Although I would prefer everyone to do something special for themselves, and not everyone just to create flowers. After all, there's nothing and no one who can do anything anyway, so we can only watch it unfold. Don't be silly. The show has already shown a little what it is. Unfortunately, September will be the month when everyone who talks here about too big expectations of people (who have already assessed the new generation) will see on their own examples that the only expectations that still exist here are only theirs... in addition, a bit naive. It's sad.. I was very excited at first. After the movie, I was a bit disappointed, when I compared MyM with the old style then I know that it is a ship going to the rocks. Maybe it will be good for the kids. But they will forget about it quickly. Lots of people here watched Mane6 when they were very young and stayed with the show until the very end. I bet it will get 2-3 seasons. Because better than Pony Life maybe 4. Someone wrote about the G6. It doesn't have to be. Even if the G5 won't last long. Maybe something will happen. @CloudMistDragon - in my country, MLP G5 videos are viewed between 20,000 and 70,000 when FiM do 300.000-500.000. Take a look at the Letupita's videos for example about Midnight Sparkle (217.000.000) or official what my cutiemark is telling me (+170.000.000) or Open up your eyes (around 50.000.000) one video from the previous generation does as much as all of the current. I wish the new generation would get it too but it only had a good start so far (around 10.000.000). And I doubt it. I sincerely doubt it. Of course, all this does not matter.
