Tbh, I'd rather have a solid, stable framerate then a high native resolution.

A gaming machine isn't about the hardware inside your machine, but the software that makes it all run. If everything is in good working order, then by all means it will provide a stable frame rate even in a resolution as high as 3840x2160 (aka 4K).

If all you want a solid framerate, though, then any sacrifice made to the game's graphical quality or resolution is worth it. The higher the frame rate, the better.
