    So am I the only one who sees Twilight as a bit sheltered? Tbh it seems like Twi has it pretty easy with her life.

      No; it would make sense her family was fairly high up in Canterlot (unicorn) society, if a Princess was her babysitter and her brother was not only made captain of the guard but married the same Princess.
