  1. Off the top of my head: -Spiderman 3 -Tansformers 2 and 3 -The Green Lantern -The Twilight Saga -All Chick Flicks (Unless you're a chick of course.) That's my list. For now.
  2. I have this ridiculous addiction to this children's show about pastel coloured horses. Not to mention there is an entire fandom of people who are addicted to this little kids show too. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!!
  3. We are one of the largest if not the largest Internet communities out there. Let's also think of it like this. Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, and DC fans have all stayed faithful to the fanbases. I just don't see us dying out anytime soon. We a huge and we're only getting larger.
  4. I used to think that whenever you needed money the bank would just give you free money. I also used to think that if you put money in an ATM in one city and then withdrew it from an ATM in another city it would be the exact same bills because underground tubes would carry it from one ATM to the other.
  5. Yeah that was my mistake. I realised this after I had posted it. I thought that it was Hasbro that had been taking down the episodes off of youtube, but it was actually just the youtube copyright blocker programme. Hope that cleared up the confusion.
  6. It is perfectly fair that Xbox users get the DLC first. We pay for our online service and we get certain benefits for it. PS3 and PC users do not have to pay for their online services so they have no reason to complain.
  7. There is no way that we are letting this fandom fall. We have already overcome too many haters, trolls, and even Hasbro to quit now. We are the largest Internet fandom and we're only getting bigger. This show has already done so much to inspire people, help people, and even stop people from killing themselves. We are not dead yet and we won't be anytime soon.
  8. Personally, I think that in today's society females have it easier. Disregard birth giving and that time of the month and females are favoured by society. It seems today we are taught that females are perfect angels that incapable of being at fault. This is so much of a problem that women have been able to get away with a 3 year sentence for murder. Have you ever heard that old saying that it's only sexist when men do it? Well, that statement holds a lot of truth to it. I've done a rant about modern day sexism in my thread "Feminism is Reverse Sexism" already, so I'm not going to go into that again. However, you probably already know what I'm talking about. I find that I deal with something very similar idea from guys. It seems that with guys if you are not a huge sports fan or you are not interested in dating or having sex (which in high school I find immature) you are an outcast. I'm not into sports, I'm a musician and that doesn't get you anything. High schools will worship these guys that can catch a ball to win a game. Basically, if you are not a football player, your school doesn't give you shit. I do agree with what you are saying about girls being very judgemental, I'm just giving an example how I feel from the other side.
  9. I would say that homework is probably most useful in University when you don't have classes everyday to help you keep up with the information. In high school though, I find most homework to be very time wasting. My school day is one of the longest school days in the country. I start at 7:45 and get out at 3:10. However, almost everyday I don't get home until 6:00, because I have activities after school. For the most part though homework in high school is just to keep us busy.
  10. Self promotion is most common on youtube. It's where users will go to popular videos on youtube and in the comment section of said video they will shamelessly beg for subscribers for their channel. I personally can't stand them, because it's disrespectful to the person that made the video in which they are promoting themselves in.
  11. It would seem to me these days that people don't have much respect for each other anymore. The internet is no exception to this. On the contrary, the internet seems to be the place where people have the least respect for each other. For example, I'm sure everyone know about the trolls. They exist for one reason and one reason only to get a rise out of people. I don't understand how pissing other people off or bringing others down could make anyone feel better about their pathetic existence. It just makes me want to vomit when I see a string of comments that only serve to bring someone down. Another thing that really, and I mean really makes me angry about people on the internet, particularly youtube, are the self promoters. If you don't know what self promoters are they basically find a very popular video on youtube and post in the comments section begging for subscribers. The funny thing is that every single one of these comments always starts along the lines of, I know nobody likes these but this is the only way to get views. Imagine you are the creator of the video that they are promoting themselves on. How would you feel? it's like if you were putting on some sort of show for your fans and I suddenly show up at the front door begging people to leave and come to my show after you had worked really hard to put on this show. What do you guys think? What are your experiences with trolls and respect or lack thereof on the internet? Do you hate the self promoters as much as I do? Let me know and as always keep it respectful. Cheers.
  12. One more thing I have to say. You shouldn't tell feel the need to go around telling everyone you watch mlp. However, do not tell people that it is as simple as watching any other TV show. In our minds that's how it is, but to everyone else we are deviants who break the social stigma of society. As a result most people will perceive this hobby as odd and not just another TV show that you enjoy in your free time.
  13. The next apocalypse is tomorrow. I'm going to hack into the computers of every human on the planet remove everything until there is nothing but ponies. Then I will take to the internet and remove everything that is not pony related. Next, I will hack into every television network in the world and replace all of their programming with nothing but pmvs, brony music, and mlp fim episodes. Then, Barack Obama will call for a press conference where he informs everyone that they shall all bow before their new world leaders, the Mane Six. After all of this is over the over saturation of cuteness everywhere will cause everyone to die of diabeetus. THE END. D'AWWWWWWW.
  14. The reason that many bronies, including myself, choose to hide this from others is because we are afraid of social rejection. For people like me who have low self esteems, it's not as simple as ignoring harassment from those people. Also, it is not as simple as thinking on the bright side as many of you seem to believe. We tend to think negatively and that is just the way our thought process works. In an impossible way to explain or understand when people make fun of me I know that what they say shouldn't change the way I am. However, just because I realise and believe that what they say about me is not who I am, that does not mean that it doesn't still get under my skin. Even if my friends were to jokingly tease me for being a brony, and I know in my heart that they don't mean anything of it, that does not mean that in my head it does not translate into something hurtful. Confusing I know, but if you are like me then you probably understand what I am trying to communicate.
  15. I can sing relatively well, it's still a work in progress though. I sing in that mid low to mid high range. Unfortunately, I can't sing like Bon Jovi anymore. I also find that when you've have been playing and learning music for many years singing comes a lot more naturally and it's a lot easier to distinguish between correct and incorrect. However, that could just be me.
  16. Normally I would say that you should never disobey your parents, but I'm willing to make an exception here. For one thing, this is a television show that you enjoy and is not inappropriate whatsoever. Another thing, this community is built upon respect for other people, now why would that ever be a bad thing. Finally, as long as watching the show isn't interfering with your school work or other responsibilities then what's the problem. My advice, keep enjoying the show somewhat secretly or stand up to your parents and explain to them why there is no harm in being apart of this fandom.
  17. I have to disagree with all of you on this video. I owe becoming a brony to this video. The very fact that these teens were overly judgemental and prejudice to a show that they had never seen is the reason I watched an episode in the first place. After seeing this video I began to think to myself. "These teens are being overly judgemental about a show that they have never even seen. I'm going to watch this so I can have an educated opinion." Two days later I finished watching through season 2.
  18. We have all had to deal with failure at some point in our lives. Whether it's failing a test, not making the team, or just losing a game with your friends failure is a part of life. My question is how do you react and deal with failure. I have major test anxiety and I often find myself coming up short on my tests in school even if I know the material inside and out. Although, I don't handle it the best way sometimes. Sometimes I just mope around all day or remain in a state of hopelessness all day long. I do get over it though, and I feel like that is more important. Now I want to hear from you. How do you deal with failure? Do you have do deal with it often, and do you think you handle it accordingly? As always keep it respectful. Cheers.
  19. I'm with you on this one mate. I don't mind getting in the Christmas mood before American Thanksgiving, because Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. The one thing I don't like is what you said, how commercial it has become. What I really look forward to every year with Christmas is being able to go back to Canada and be with my family. Getting a little bit (A LOT!!) of snow wouldn't hurt either.
  20. As a lot of you may know, I post topical threads based around issues in our world. I find that since this community is such a friendly and nonjudgmental place it's the perfect place to share my views and opinions without being mocked. Sometimes I have discussions similar to these ones with my peers at school, but I often find that when you having intense debates with people at high school they are much more opinionated and less accepting of other view points. Now here's my questions for you: do you prefer to discuss matters of great importance on this website, in person with another individual, or some balancing of the two? If you picked balancing of the two, tell me how exactly you do that. Personally, I will have certain discussions at school. However, there are certain issues that people feel very strongly about, and would not touch on in person. When I'm on the forums I feel more open to express my views and, I welcome you all to do the same. As always keep it respectful. Cheers.
  21. As many of you know by my slogan, Music = Life, I am a very dedicated musician. I made a drum cover for one of my favourite Coldplay songs, and I would like some feedback on it. Also, I have a new idea for a video series that I want to make. Here's how it will work. You will suggest a song to me. I will record a drum cover for that song after listening to it only once. Then I will practice it for a week or so, and then I will make a drum cover for that song again. It will an interesting way to see how much the song can improve. Leave me song suggestion and give me feedback on my Coldplay cover. Also, for any of you that want me to start one of philosophical discussion threads, don't worry. I will still be posting those too. Hope you like the cover. Cheers.
  22. If I had never discovered MLP, I would be like how a lot of you said that you would be. I would be in a constant state of depression. Wondering what my life was going to amount to, if anything. I wouldn't really have anything to cheer me up when people or life in general has me down. I would say it's the fanbase, more than anything, that gives me the joy and happiness to plough through the hardships in life. Thank you to all of you who make this fanbase great and keep me going in my darkest hours.
  23. Personally, I don't think that I'm famous on the forums. However, if I'm known for anything, I'm known for starting philosophical threads and debates in a welcome environment. Although, I'll bet that only one or two people would recognise me for that. I just like being able to discuss my opinions and beliefs with other people, while still knowing that I won't be judged or trolled for my beliefs. Thank you for that.
  24. Yeah I like being able to buy candy in the bulk, but I don't like Halloween for the things that it's really about. Such as, scary monsters, haunted houses, ect.
