I believe, if the people at Hasbro were to name it, they would give it something that roots in language! Latin is a great example. They might call it a 'Vesper' because the Latin word for bat is 'Vespertilio' or 'Vespertilionem'. Hasbro has been known to do this (Mi Amora Cadenza, anyone?) and it worked great!

I believe Pinkie's hair almost directly influences her feelings, and who doesn't like a happy, poofy Pinkie? Her straight hair makes me sad in a way because I know it means she is also upset. So, vice versatile for her poofy hair, capiche?
