  1. "You're going to love me!" Fluttershy is so awesome and cute.

  2. I was watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Zordon actually gave them reasonable directives to follow as a condition for them to keep their powers 1) Never use their powers for personal gain 2) Never escalate a battle unless Rita forces them to 3) Keep identities secret Apart from the cringy acting, I think the series is good, the story makes it watchable with some of the finest battle music I've heard in fiction.
  3. I know Princess Luna reformed, but to be honest, if I was in that imaginary world of MLP FIM and saw Nightmare Moon I would be scared of her. Any fictional character that has the power of umbrakinesis is a master of the shadows, power to move the moon, creating a lunar eclipse is already dangerous. Sure, she would not need to do that to be a threat to me in that fantasy world scenario, but it is one of her most destructive powers IMO.

  5. My quote "We can only tell our reality from what our consciousness tells us, that's the bottom line." I hope this does not get into philosophical debates about free will, because I really do not want to get into that one. It was a quote I made for an OC in my MLP fanfic.
  6. It's an old quote but I still use it from time to time, I actually used this one for my My Little Pony fan fiction and an OC that said this, and it's a direct parallel to Morpheus statement in The Matrix about subjective reality, or reality being interpreted by electrical signals in our brain and our senses. "We can only tell our reality from what our consciousness tells us, that's the bottom line."
  7. Morpheus explicitly stated the choice was between Wonderland and the Real World, he gave Neo the choice whether to wake up into the real world, or remain in the computer simulation and Morpheus shows him how messed up the system actually is, but this only applies to this specific simulation in the movie. They did not get into the illusion of choice until later on in the movie, and Morpheus was not the one who claimed choice was an illusion, another character said this to him. I purposefully altered the hypothetical situation a bit to ask people which would they pick, a simulated environment based on their own fantasy, or reality. In theory there is no reason why such a simulation could not be created if the technology were available, and it is not, real computer hardware is nowhere near powerful enough to create such a world, let alone the other issue of uploading a person's brain into it, which also does not exist in reality. Some people may pick wonderland, or they may pick the harshness of the dystopian world with the false belief they could win the war, either way, both decisions have consequences and gotchas, people may choose the world of illusion, but in so doing, they become a "slave to the system" that they cannot escape from, it might seem pleasing on surface level, but actually being there would come with risks, hazards and unexpected outcomes.
  8. Feeling more relaxed tonight, I had an awesome discussion with Snoopy Fan about the Manticore scene in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Fluttershy took a risk that paid off, but it was still dangerous.
  9. Scooby Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost movie retconning 13 Ghosts TV series did not do anything except appeal to a nostalgia crowd, which quite frankly, not even most of them would like that film, either given the backlash it received. WB has a habit of ruining old shows for some reason.

  10. Best Scooby Doo movie for me is Zombie Island

Worst one for me is 13 Ghosts, because of the retcon that removed Vincent Van Ghoul's powers, among other things. WB should have left 13 Ghosts series alone in my opinion, it's an alternate reality storyline that had nowt to do with the main Scooby Doo shows that don't involve supernatural elements. You'd think the idea of retconning 13 Ghosts would be a waste of their time, that did not need to happen, and it does not help improve it in any way to do so.

Curse of the 13th Ghost was a movie, it sucked anyway, you can watch it if you want but it is poor received so chances are you won't like it either. 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo tv series, which the movie takes place after, was flawed as well, but the chest of demons having actual ghosts was not the issue with the story, Warner Bros kicked up this fuss for no reason. Even giving Velma something to be smug about wasn't funny.

"Best Scooby Doo movie for me is Zombie Island"

I watched Zombie Island for the first time in years last Halloween and I thought it was good until everyone turned into cats. That was too silly, IMO.

Not really in my view, Lena, Jacques and Simone transformed into werecats because of a curse placed on them, with a magical curse it's not uncommon for transformations from one species from another to occur in fiction, also if that was silly then what about werewolves also known as lycanism? plenty of fiction use that as well, from Michael Jackson's Thriller, Wolfman horror film and more. And although Luna in MLP isn't a werewolf, her transformation into Nightmare Moon is similar, she still becomes more powerful from it and ends up with predator-like features such as sharp teeth and eyes that look similar to cat eyes, she could be unofficially called a werepony in that stage.

  11. What I like about Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost is it took a different story telling direction than the typical Scooby Doo tales. They actually used supernatural elements in the story telling this time, the bad people in masks routine gets repetitive. I know the point of the original Scooby Doo show was to show that ghosts and ghouls are not real, but it does get boring when you've watched the same song and dance for like 4 seasons or more, which if you include Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo show, that is how long it goes on for. When Warner Brothers tried to retcon 13 Ghosts and depowering Vincent Van Ghoul, that annoyed me.
  12. Add Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers to the list for me, but otherwise my favourites are the same as yours Snoopy Fan. Also as for Cyber Chase, the lyrics in one of the songs is funny "Hello Cyber Dream, why you chasin' me? My computer screen is my enemy."

Risky move by Fluttershy though, it worked, but Fluttershy could've been eaten by that Manticore, which in my opinion was worse than trying to reason with Princess Luna, with Nightmare Moon diplomacy was an option but against a creature that could easily see her as food if they were hungry, it would be unwise to approach them in the way Fluttershy did.

  15. Jumanji 1995 I hope it gets a proper sequel some time, no not the video game, that concept is trash A sequel involving a better plot, with the board game, and a mage who wants to lift the curse on it to destroy it so it cannot harm anybody else, but in order to do so, the game must be played one last time, as the board game will be destructible right at the moment it says "Jumanji".
  16. In that movie it was a story about children who did not know any better, and quite frankly nobody would suspect the board game to be cursed, which is why the plot of the movie works so well, a boy finds a mysterious board game that makes loud noises, he takes it home to play with a girl, completely oblivious to the danger that lies within, anybody could have fallen victim to that situation. Going to a magical world would be nice in a fantasy world scenario, but I would not play a dangerous board game like Jumanji to do it, in an instance I was forced to do so, brilliant, now I get eaten by the pod plant, adventure ends with its adventurers slain, hold my ripped off arm and place a sign saying on it "The End" Wile E Coyote style from Looney Tunes. If I had to do something heroic to get there, then maybe, depends on what circumstances and what magical world we are talking.
  17. Onions are nice, I eat them in a salad with lettuce and cucumber sometimes, vinegar is a great thing to eat with them.

Onions are great! They have layers, like a certain ogre I know

  18. On a different note but still about Spongebob Square Pants, Spongebob could have ran a brilliant scam with his chrome spray painted future gig.
  19.

That is definitely one plant people should avoid in Jumanji movie.

Like I said, horror movie. XD That plant is so freaky, and it has like those appendages on top of it or something? Very cool design though.

  20. My pencil and paper version of my MLP fanfic is very different from the original one I made on text file and I don't want to use ChatGPT anymore. While some elements of that exist in it, I am not sure how to progress with it. So my feelings are, confusion and without direction. I don't regret my wish to be reborn as a Pegasi in that fantasy of Hasbro's fiction though, sure, being a Unicorn or Alicorn with magical powers would be fun, but I would fear being corrupted by that power. Power means nothing without the wisdom to use it. and to hurt individuals there, Pony or other species without self defence being a justification, would be a mission failure. That mission being friendship is magic.
  21. I'm glad some other people liked a taunt I thought for a character to use against Queen Chrysalis in MLP. "Old sharp fangs" Yeah it would upset her, that's the point, some character says something stupid which then upsets a villain they're trying to escape from, it's comedy gold IMO. How Mane Six would react to this reckless behaviour from another character, I don't know, probably would receive a scolding from Rainbow Dash. She is blunt, to the point, even if brash sometimes, she often tells it like it is.
  22. Go Go Power Rangers (Redux)
  23. I see likes were given to my previous post about Queen Chrysalis from MLP that taunt I thought for a character to use against her, is sort of a Scooby Doo reference in how they deal with monsters. Shaggy has a habit of saying stupid things which would upset the bad person in a mask they are trying to get away from. Makes me want to toy with that reference as a joke in my MLP FIM fan fiction.
  24. "Need a hand, while you just wait, we'll help you out, we each have eight." uh yeah, this scene of Jumanji still disturbs me even now.

Jumanji is definitely a low-key horror film. The entire beginning of it has a really eerie vibe. :sealed:

  25. In this scene of Jumanji, Van Pelt just wrecks Carl's windows and lights on his car, yup, Van Pelt doesn't care about police. :D
