    Watching Jumanji 1995 movie to get my mind off things, I cannot sleep right now. I don't wish the same for all of you, sometimes it feels like there is nothing that can be done but watch the world crash and burn though. In real life, good people don't always win.

    Feeling anxious about the future of the world and my own country in particular, too many messed up people live here. Let's just say it'll affect people's finances and their ability to survive. I got to take my medication again but I am truly outraged at some bad news I picked up on recently.

    I think last night my dream was about a rabbit chewing on a headphone cable, or something like that, it's not too out of the ordinary compared to what dreams could be though. I don't know if I'd call that a weird dream, funny perhaps? yes.

    Dreams are the only solitude from a chaotic world. I know how Peter Dickenson felt in the Flight of Dragons movie, reluctant to leave that world, but was forced to do so as a lesser of two evils to defeat Ommadon. We are trapped outside the realm of magic, not the other way around. Sometimes I cannot tell if that's a good or bad thing, the real world certainly does not seem like it will ever improve, people keep committing terrible acts of violence and they do this without the existence of magic.

    Which would you choose, a computer generated simulation of your own dream world which you can share with friends who consented to it, or a world ruined by machines? Also, as the question about The Matrix implies, AI life forms would be sentient within the simulated environment and take on the form of life in whatever fantasy world was created for them, be they animal with a brain, or certain kinds of robots. It is whatever fantasy world you desire it to be, and the world continues to exist so long as the hardware that supports it does. In this hypothetical situation, the hardware is capable of self maintenance and repair at the molecular level, making it very difficult for it to fall apart simply by aging of the system, as long as it has a power source and a way to recycle materials, it'll sustain itself, but then this gets into scifi territory and not what exists in the real world. The system would be limited only by the physics of the simulation, the simulated environments themselves would have rules like a society with laws that prohibit anyone to harm or abuse sentient programs within the system, breaking laws for example could get you arrested the same as in the real world, enforcing rule of law. You could be a knight that works for a medieval King or Queen in an ancient time period, but breaking their laws, like poisoning one of their guests, could get you sent to a dungeon. Choose wisely.

    This one is a toughie, because some people have had so many negative experiences in their own lives that they want to escape it, and I get that, to exist in a world that is seemingly impossible to fix, does feel nerve wrecking or soul destroying. This thread kind of makes me want to make a thread asking if people would like to exist in a computer generated dream world like The Matrix, even if they could exist there eternally although that is not guaranteed due to things like glitches, power outs and all sorts of other problems. But as Morpheus points out in that movie, you either take the blue or red pill, and whichever you go with, there are consequences. There are consequences for living a lie, but waking up to a dystopian world is not great either. I would be very tempted to take the dream world option, especially after both of my parents had died in the future. But the world you leave behind, you do still have positive memories of and that would be hard to let go of.

    Good idea, DVD R's are useful. If my My Little Pony Friendship is Magic official DVD's are region 1 I could use my PC to make an artificial DVD for personal use to bypass the region restrictions to then playback on my Playstation 2. I know people who design DRM don't want us doing that, but we paid for these copies, why sell region 1 DVD's in the UK if they're not going to work on our players? makes no sense.

    Did research last night and came to the realization that I won't have to purchase a balanced headphone cable for my portable audio player after all. 5 milliwatts and 2 volts seems like it would work fine, I don't use planar magnetic headphones or anything like that. I am aware there are some people out there who do though, they seem to like the Hifiman Sundara headphones a lot, which is one of the most cost effective planar magnetic headphones that exist before you get into the really expensive stuff.

    I wrote this on my page, venting about the stupid controversy about Princess Twilight Sparkle's alicorn power up. "I know not everyone is going to agree with my take on this one, but for the aforementioned filler and multiple episodes problem of certain kinds of shonen anime, I actually enjoy watching battles in cartoons like My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and DCAU's Justice League a lot more and I find their conflicts more engaging or relatable. I am not entertained by the abuse of power ups for the sake of escalating drama. That problem does not exist in MLP FIM, even with Alicorn power ups, it's only one transformation, whatever, get over it, Twilight Sparkle is an Alicorn, who cares."

    I know not everyone is going to agree with my take on this one, but for the aforementioned filler and multiple episodes problem of certain kinds of shonen anime, I actually enjoy watching battles in cartoons like My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and DCAU's Justice League a lot more and I find their conflicts more engaging or relatable.     Alicorns are not invincible either in MLP FIM, honestly the story would be boring if they were. But Princess Celestia was knocked out or momentarily stunned by Queen Chrysalis' ray. Nopony is invulnerable to lasers, and honestly I don't know why some people claim the contrary just because of that one battle between Twilight Sparkle and Tirek. If your only criticism of that is "Dragonball and screaming muscles" try harder. At least MLP energy duels don't have fillers or last multiple 20 minute episodes.

    Thanks for the feel better hugs GIF, that was apt as well, I like Princess Celestia. She is not a monster that oppresses people in that fictional world. She has rules, yes, all societies need rules though, fictional or not. Her rules are a lot easier to find common ground with than Rulers we have in power IRL right now. Celestia would not start a culture war just because of the selfish demands of a few people. Also contrary to what is claimed about her, Princess Celestia does fight her battles when she feels she needs to, in A Canterlot Wedding episode of MLP she put herself in harms way to protect other Ponies at her castle, she is not a coward.

    Oh that's difficult, they all seem very good at what they do, and I am sure they have lovely personalities to match. Kathleen Barr and Tara Strong probably, Kathleen Barr's work I like for her voice for Kevin in Ed Edd n Eddy and Queen Chrysalis in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. You know as a Halloween joke it would be funny if she used a Queen Chrysalis voice to give a jump scare to people.

    This version of Praga Khan's song Echoes, an ominous sounding beat is one vinyl I would get if I had a turntable, I like techno and lots of different techno tracks by various artists were released on this format. Unfortunately it's simply too expensive for me, even after getting a good vinyl player like one of the high end Audio Technica ones, the vinyl itself is probably expensive.

    You have more or less summed up my thoughts about some Dragonball villains They keep bringing Frieza back for the sake of a recurring bad guy to play with, when really he should just be dead and moved on from. The resurrection plot made no sense either, as normally Shenron wasn't supposed to bring back to life anyone who passed on over a year ago, or at least that was implied by the anime, furthermore in OG Dragonball and Dragonball Z, Bulma and her friends stored the corpses of their fallen allies inside what appears to be containers that reduce the body temperature of the bodies to preserve them. In any case, Frieza being cut to so many small pieces it should not have been possible to bring him back to life in such a state, all his internal organs were totalled and he had no regeneration abilities to reverse that, his army needed a machine to restore his body. I'm for giving individuals a chance to redeem in fiction, however there are limits to that. Kid Buu had the mind of a child even after living for millions of years, though it did not excuse his actions, even after killing innocent civilians in the mortal realm, he did threaten to annihilate souls in Other World, after their battle, I think Goku's request to have Buu reincarnated made sense, given his limited culpability or understanding of right and wrong, it made sense for him to skip Hell in Other World and try again to be a better person. Frieza is a different matter though, he doesn't have what a judiciary would call "clinical insanity" to get him off on any of his wrongdoing, knows exactly what he was doing, he is a pure sadist and should have remained in Hell, at least pay his debt for a thousand years or whatever, then reincarnate later. But Dragonball heroes are too incompetent to let that happen.

    What made me happy today is @Hippity Hoppity Sketch is okay and is no longer coughing from choking on her drink she accidentally swallowed, I think she said she drank milk, something like that. I know plushies make you happy though Snoopy Fan, in fact there is nothing wrong with that, Fluttershy plushies are something I wished I had, I want to express my gentleness, even if I have to do that alone in my bedroom. If I told everyone I liked My Little Pony publicly, or showed them I liked plushies at my age, I know I would not be treated well by everybody who was told that, you know how it is.

    I'm thinking if there was ever a crossover fiction in future of Sonic the Hedgehog and My Little Pony G4, the elements of harmony most likely would have the power to neutralize the chaos emeralds, just a fan theory, but they were used to turn the spirit of chaos, Discord, into stone, so the theory has some reasoning to support it.
