  1. Lately it's felt like time has been moving faster.

silly Azusa, time doesn't move. You move through time.

That's an important distinction you have to make if you want to make your journey worthwhile.

Then whatever autopilot I have goes pretty dang fast, cause I'm doing my best to let things last a while. :P

Days honestly are going by faster than I'd like them to, though.

  2. I don't have a specific playlist. I just listen to the ingame sounds or BGM, and maybe I'll play something fitting to the situation I'm in during a game. Though, it was HILARIOUS when my friends were watching Totoro while I was playing Dark Souls 2, being chased by scary-ass whatever they ares, with cute Totoro music playing.
  3. "I hope senpai doesn't notice you." I really haven't heard much other than people calling me "Chingchong Bingbong" because I'm asian.

Are you clenching your jaw? That could do it.

I took a tiny nap. It hurts a bit less, but no, my teeth aren't hurting.

I don't know what I could have done to cause this. I just woke up with it randomly and I've felt it all day.

The jaw is imbued with nerves in very, *very* awkward positions.

Have you ever seen a boxer knock out another? Aside from rattling the brain, this is oftentimes caused by the pressure your jaw is putting on your nerve as the punch connects. Lying on it awkwardly in your sleep is already enough to hurt you, but it can just as well be related to tooth ailments, like decay or root problems.

  5. I was also convinced by one of the WoW videos I saw as well as some other that I saw, basically saying that you play to achieve something. Addicted to dopamine, some of us gamers, myself included, play for that rush we get when we achieve something. For example, if I recieve that AWESOME weapon that I've been trying to obtain for months, I'll get a rush of dopamine. We also strive to achieve bigger dopamine rushes and achievements. The bigger or unexpected the achievement, the better the feeling. Maybe you weren't expecting it, but you just killed your millionth opponent in arena mode. Game like WoW, and the occasional mobile game are built to exploit this. The Game Theory video was pretty much right in general, and the part about "community" couldn't be more accurate.
  6. I hope you all had a good April Fools' day! Did anything funny happen to any of you guys?

Ah, you too? Was boring for me as well. :/ I'm actually relatively shocked that none of my teachers tried to pull something off.

Next year I'm gonna bring a jar of mayo, but instead replace the mayo with pudding. I'll eat it from the jar. It'll definitely turn some heads.

  7. "Shut up, senpai."

  8. So, what do you gain from doing this? It's a bit disappointing to hear this is what kids are doing. Really, these kids are around my age, and I'm gonna be an adult when they're adults, and I do NOT look forward to living in a place with this happening, and I do NOT look forward to similar (maybe even WORSE) little trends like this being around my future kids. It's extremely worrisome.
  9. "blank" I was also thinking "What did this post make me think of?"
  10. Happy Plant knows what he's talking about. If they are your cup of tea, I can add that these two are really popular, and are of pretty high quality. I can also add "Another" as a good anime. A scene scared me to the point I stopped watching it! (I might just be a big sissy).
  11. Haha, good to hear everyone's advice helped! I was actually about to post about trying to watch a nice, not-scary show, but I guess I'm a bit late. Still good to hear you're doing fine! You can also turn to music if you can't watch anything. Instrumental versions of upbeat or calming music always helps me!
  12. It really depends on the person when it comes to the anime, but here are my favorite anime: Visuals: Sword of the Stranger (I haven't watched it, but my eyes already have erections when it sees some exerpts), Kyoukai no Kanata Moe and Fluffy Theme: K-ON! Darker Theme: Darker than Black Characters: Baka to Test, The World God Only Knows Story: Code Geass, Steins;Gate, Kyoukai no Kanata Music/Soundtracks: K-ON! has a solid place in my heart for this Honestly, my top ones are K-ON! and Kyoukai no Kanata. They're both really visually appealing. Since most HATE moe or the school theme, I can also suggest to give Sword of the Stranger a shot. I keep hearing nothing but good things about him. If you're new to anime, ignore The World God Only Knows. The BEST I can suggest for sure, especially if you're new to anime, is called "Angel Beats!". Seriously, my friends who don't usually watch anime LOVED this one. It's all around good. Not ground breaking, but a great place to start.
  13. ;~; Long ago I mentioned I'd participate, and I was extremely confident, but now I realize that I'll have to wait until Spring Break. Smogon rules don't apply, do they?
  14. I believe personality is what generates most of the attraction, but how they look also has a huge impact (especially dresses, I love dresses). Mine is a bit specific. Basically, I dislike buns and ponytails, but I still don't mind them. What I DO like is, well, girls' hair when they just got out of the shower, and if they usually make it into a bun or something, then seeing them when they haven't done anything with their hair is amazing. To put it simply, if their hair is as curly as appropriate (I don't like it too curly, but it depends on their girl), but if you catch them when they haven't done anything with their hair yet, that's an instant win for me. For example, the character on my avatar, Azusa Nanako, regularly has pigtails, but I went CRAZY when we got scenes when she didn't have them in pigtails. You know, it's when the girl you like has a rare, different look than what you're used to. Honestly, I just like it in general when a girl goes out of her way for me to fix her hair for a date. I try to do the same when I go out for a girl, so it feels good when both do something with the other in mind. Based on what I voted for, I chose black long hair. I do have little phases where it changes to blonde or something, but I always come back to liking black. The hairstyle varies, as I stated earlier in my post. This does tend to depend on the girl, though. It's not like I'll turn down a nice girl just for her hair not being black and long. Edit: I also tend to prefer girls had a good amount of hair. Having a LOT of hair bugs me as much as having too little hair. I'm not a fan of foreheads. Not that these devalue girls, though!
  15. So with April Fools, there's been an issue I've discussed with people, so I'd like to bring it here. Are there any jokes friends have played on your that hurt your feelings? I've heard about things like fake confessions, screamers that did damage, and even fake suicides. I also want to get this out there: not all jokes are funny, some can usually be hurt by a poorly-thought or performed joke. Make sure you don't do anything that hurts anyone today, but still have a fun April Fools day!
  16. Haven't seen all of their vidyas, but I'd love to see Snake (Metal Gear) vs Adam Jensen (Deus Ex).
  17. I was just wondering, what are your thoughts on Pockey? Recently I've found myself enjoying them, but I've also noticed that a lot of people associate it with weeaboos, so I've been a bit afraid to eat them in public.

Just go ahead and eat em'. If someone asks you about it, offer them one and now you have a new friend; because Chocolate is Magic.

I like pockey, though I haven't had any in years.

  18. Regular Poke. Why? OCD. I honestly think Ultra balls look ugly, and the regular balls are obviously THE Pokeball. I'm so OCD about this, I cried when I realized that there was no way to change from a quickball when breeding Chanseys with a Ditto. Premier Balls for Legendaries or Events.
  19. I actually kind of want to get into drinking tea.. A lot of things have been urging me to try tea, such as: being the only one in my group of friends who doesn't drink tea, mom drinks a lot of tea, the recent anime I finished and loved had a band literally named "After School Tea Time" and they actually did have tea, and how I remembered my mom gave me a tea that I LOVED for a while as a kid. The only tea that I can remember the name of, the one I loved as a kid, is named "Youthberry". I'd actually like to get some more. It was quite sweet. Anyways, like I said, I kind of want to start drinking tea regularly to: 1) replace my regular, unhealthy juices and sodas; 2) condition my heat-sensitive tongue (really it's annoying how I have to wait longer than others seem to have to in order to drink tea and soup). Any suggestions on how I could start or where I should look? Though, isn't tea generally expensive? That's what I hear at least.
  20. I have Azusa Nanako on my phone wallpaper and I don't even care about what people think anymore, I'm putting it on my lock screen

  21. As the topic asks, have you began anything in general, quit, and came back to like it? For example, I watched the anime 'K-ON!' some time last year and stopped on episode four because I got bored of it. Just a few days ago I started watching it again.. and now I've already finished watching the second season and movie (that's all there is to the show) and I'm just about ready to call it my FAVORITE thing I've ever watched. Also, have you began something, quit, came back, and maybe quit again? For example, I began playing the piano as a kid, and stopped some time in elementary. I picked it up again, thinking I'd love it in Highschool, but quickly dropped it. I might even pick it up again, but I'd probably end up giving up again.
  22. Finished K-ON!, can now die happy.

  23. Hey everyone. I haven't been visiting the forums that much lately (I probably should, considering how I have more freetime nowadays) and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on starting to learn Japanese? I began with anime, then started watching drama, then started talking to Japanese transfer students (I live in America) and have started to really like Japanese culture. I definitely am not basing this on Japanese media and whatnot even though I do like it. I just, in general, think I'd be happier in Japan- a lot more compared to America. I've become a bit bitter towards living in America lately, not that I hate America. Anyways, I'd like to start learning. I have some basic knowledge (but not basic enough to know any of the characters or even how to recite numbers above five) and an idea on some things in the language. I'd like to learn Japanese, but don't know where to start. There are no Japanese classes anywhere near where I live, and I am unsure what to use as online sources to begin learning. I'm pretty confident in my abilities to learn it. If I like something, then I learn it quickly. I began taking Spanish classes and ended up hating it. I switched over to French, enjoyed it, and am now currently at the top of my class. I just need the resources to learn as well as preferably some sort of schedule to pace myself in learning. Any advice?
  24. Just finished K-ON!, and it's probably the greatest thing ever for me.

  25. It's a bit sad and embarassing, but I kinda broke up with the girl I had my first kiss with just this Tuesday. Anyways, my thoughts on the first kiss? Awkward as hell. I do regret it a bit, but eventually it stopped being awkward. I just kinda wish I got a "good" kiss, though. They always seemed rushed because they were usually goodbye kisses. Though, I have never had a French Kiss, if that means anything to the topic.
