clearly you have to have SOME of the same interest or it will never work out.. ..

It would be different if the person actually liked the show because then you actually have a common ground (well one, Video games would probably be the other one) BUT TO sit there and not even say anything and think you are stupid for liking such a show is ridicules

They don't HAVE to be fans.

It's fine if they're not fans but they should at least respect your interests.

I'm just saying it would help if they shared the similar interests. I mean any interest in general. That way the two partners would have something in common.

Any common interests can help the relationship, not just MLP.
