Tiaaaaa

I was just curious how open other bronies are about their brony-ness. Do you walk around proudly displaying it or is it on a strictly need-to-know basis? Personally I'm completely open about it. I'm wearing a Princess Luna shirt from WeLoveFine right now (it was a gift from my little sister. She's so sweet. ). I don't randomly bring it up or try to shove the show down other people's throats or anything, but I'm not afraid to say I like it if it comes up or someone asks. How about you all?

Pretty much everything everyone else said. A lot of cartoons now are very patronizing, so it's awesome to see something that isn't. The art style and character design are a big part of what drew me to the series, though. I also love adorable things with the undying passion of a thousand suns, so that might have had a tiny influence on me. On a more personal note, I also really like the fact that there's a mostly female cast. That doesn't happen often in media, much less popular media. I think part of the reason it's so popular with the demographic it is, though, is because of the many references to older cartoons and geekdom in general. Then there Lauren Faust who was involved in Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends both of which were really popular. In summary: Ponies are awesome because ponies are awesome.

I'm not usually big on shipping in any fandom. But I also love reading shipping fan fics, so I guess I'm just a pretty bizarre person. I guess it doesn't really help that I don't really like most heterosexual ships regardless of fandom. Still, something about ponies just makes shipping fun. I don't really have any one ship I support, I'll read about almost any mare/mare ship, but Pinkie Pie/Rainbow Dash is adorable. But so is Pinkie Pie/Twilight, so I really don't know where I'm going with this.
