      In my experience, American weapons from the WW I and II period had a noticeable advantage over Soviet weapons when it came to rate of fire, and accuracy was more or less equal. The best thing about Soviet guns was their durability. They could take a ridiculous of abuse. I have a Mosin-Nagant from 1940 that's been through a lot of punishment and it works just like new. You can't break these things.
