    I'm going to venture a guess and say the people who struggle to meet this forum's character limits and who won't read long posts are big time Twitter users. I find that 140 character maximum so constricting as to make Twitter unusable.

      I hate the fact that text messaging has a max limit of 160 per page. Makes me feel like I'd be spamming and annoying the other person.

      Giving a reason for why you've voted for something in the Shorty awards via Twitter is pointless, especially after the character maximum has been shortened to 52 characters given the required formatting. There aren't many meaningful things one can say.

       

      I hardly ever text anyone. I figure the irregularity of my texts makes up for the length of them.
