  7. I became an admin in June of 2013. You were still active then.
  8. @You Heard Nothing, that's pretty interesting. I've only had a couple of pony dreams, but nothing that has left much of an impact, so I'm a little jealous.
  9. Since I'm on call this weekend, it's likely work will interrupt me a few times, but I won't let that stop me from being there and playing however much I can.
  10. I'd love to hear about it if you'd like to tell.
  11. You know... I can't really put my finger on why, but Rarity has been growing on me lately, which made me think to drop in here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I didn't like her before or anything of the sort. It's just that I've been thinking about her more than usual as of late and there just seems to be something kindred there, despite few evident similarities in personality between her and myself. This isn't bad thing, maybe even a good thing depending on how you look at it, but it is definitely a wee bit perplexing. I seem to be one of exceedingly few fans of Sparity.
  12. Seeing this post reminded me of an old thread that I think everyone should check out, or at least the first post. And then there's my response to it. This goes back to October of 2012. As you can see, the sentiments expressed about possible self-loathing by the community and related concerns are hardly new. Since the very early days, bronydom has contended with this, yet it lives on and continues to thrive and grow. Naturally, with that growth comes a spike in those negative elements that the vast majority of us want to leave alone. The trolls, argumentative jerks, etc. Always been with us, always will be, and their numbers will continue to increase even as the amount of sincere and even-keeled bronies does. I am the community as much as any other brony, and I don't hate myself or anyone else in the fandom. Most I've met can claim the same. Don't take this as me shrugging off the concerns expressed here, as I'm certainly not doing that and not denying that there are problems. All I'm saying is that there's undesirable elements present in everything, and I can gladly say that those are outweighed in our fandom by the positive elements, in my experiences. Just sweep aside what you don't like and try to move on as if nothing happened. There are too many potential friends and good times to be had to allow them to be tainted by some outliers who are determined to spread misery or be miserable themselves. Not always easy, but it's definitely possible to overcome them. I've been at this since May of 2011 with no desire to leave.
  13. It's all good though. Maybe we could bunk together and both get some of that delicious breakfast.
  14. Pinkie would do one of two things: spend her money on a bunch of junk food and random little knickknack items nopony else in their right mind would care about, or she'd blow all of it on a single, large, extremely ridiculous item that couldn't even fit in a regular house. Take your pick. Twilight would likely buy an extremely rare tome of great value and full of secret knowledge, put it away somewhere because she doesn't know what to do with it, or maybe contribute much if not all of it to Ponyville for rebuilding the library destroyed by Tirek. That last option sounds the most likely to me. Rainbow Dash would spend it on Wonderbolts and Daring Do stuffs, I think. Those are her only real interests that I think could require a bunch of money. Fluttershy would make upgrades to her cottage and yard to accommodate her animals better or to house more. Rarity would buy materials for making her own stuff. Nothing pre-made. She's also likely to help out any of her friends who may be lacking in any way, as she tends to do. Applejack, being the frugal farmpony of simple tastes that she is, wants for very little. It would be just like her to save it for a true emergency or to help out somepony else in a tight spot. Alternatively, she'd use what she needed to fix up their property and tools, although I've no doubt she'd shop around for the best deals first.
  15. I've met most of them at conventions and have had the opportunity to chat with them a bit. Hopefully I'll get to meet up with Larson at a con again sometime, and maybe next time we can go sit at a quiet, little bar or something and have a drink together. He does that sort of thing. Very friendly, kind of trolly guy at times. xD
  16. Applejack hollering "Rise and shine, sugarcube!" Or "up and at 'em!" Something like that. Probably with the smell of some wonderful baked confections wafting from the kitchen for breakfast. I can't think of a lovelier way to be woken up
  17. I'm still here, haven't gone anywhere. There are still plenty of the old-timers still hanging around, although some have left for a variety of reasons, and still some others decided to do something idiotic to get themselves banned when they could have just, you know... gone somewhere else. Still plenty of us hanging around though, if you know where to look.
  18. Drag out the welcome wagon and sing a song welcoming them to earth. Then I'd feed them by hand and carry on some very one-sided conversations.
  19. Difficult to pinpoint anything beyond the obvious like some elements of Star Trek, thanks to John de Lancie's involvement with that and MLP. Little things in life cause me to think about about MLP all the time. To be completely honest, nearly every waking moment of a day is spent thinking about MLP or the fandom for one reason or another. Kind of obsessive, I know, but I'm happy with it
  20. and I are practically opposites but for the same reason, it seems. Been a Trekkie myself since I was little and always liked the term, and I love being able to identify myself as a brony. For those of us who have a very deep, personal connection to the show and have found their involvement with the fandom to be a positive and life altering experience are likely more prone to call themselves that. As for the hang-up between the terms "brony" and "pegasister," I don't see what the big deal is here. For a time there was a sharp divide between those who would call themselves Trekkies and those who preferred to be called Trekkers. Personally, I never made a distinction, and didn't care which anyone chose to call me. My outlook on bronies and pegasisters is much the same, regardless of the fan's gender.
