Children and people in general are encouraged to conform to arbitrary double standards, which is one of the things I love about this showis that it encourages people to look beyond them. This is especially the case with Applejack which is what I have really love about her is that she is the most true to herself of the ponies.

I forget to eat and drink so much that my mom texts me every day reminding me to eat and sleep.

It's actually important I would believe that in all the excitement you could easily forget to eat and drink.. I guess you should also add "go to the bathroom" and sleep.
