  1. [11:42:17 AM] Artemis: Artemis sips coffee like a sir [11:42:25 AM] Ashley: Ashley sips her tea [11:42:40 AM] Artemis: Lovely weather we're having, isn't it? [11:43:04 AM] Ashley: It is. (sun) [11:44:41 AM] Artemis: I say, Miss Ashley, I am absolutely ravenous. [11:44:59 AM] Ashley: Why is that, Mister Eric? [11:45:42 AM] Artemis: Quite simply, I have not eaten since yesterday afternoon, and the time for luncheon is nearly upon us. [11:46:23 AM] Ashley: Oh my, Mister Eric. What has caused you to fast for so long? [11:49:45 AM] Artemis: I was negligent as the hour grew late. Ye olde Pizza Hut closes at midnight and I took note of this at four minutes past the hour. [11:53:13 AM] Ashley: How unfortunate, Mister Eric. However, you should keep preservatives and other small foods in cases like these, so you do not have to go hungry. [11:57:56 AM] Artemis: A local Chinese establishment is within five minutes of my abode. Perhaps I shall partake of whatever provender is on their bill of fare this fine day. Feeling very debonair today.

  3. Very much so. I get along with animals better than people, I'd say, although I tend to be a very gregarious person. Animals have always loved me. Dogs, cats, birds, goats, you name it. If somebody keeps it as a pet, we'll bond in no time, even if it's known to be very skittish and fearful of strangers. Whatever you have, chances are s/he and I will bond almost immediately. Ever since I was a kid I've been like that. To be honest most of the time I prefer the company of animals to that of humans anyway, so it works out just fine for me. Give me your dogs and cats! I shall snuggle them!

Thinking like that has resulted in hearing loss in later years. It was worth it tho.

lol. I don't need my music to be blaring loud. I just adjust the equalizer in VLC media player to suit my ears, and normally I only go between 25% to 35% volume (in VLC, with computer volume all the way) with my earbuds in. I already have slight tinnitus as it is, so I'd rather not make it worse.

Not bad. More relaxed since I'm not an admin anymore, and work occasionally keep me busy. Taking it easy for the most part these days. You doing ok? You bailed out of here for a while.

Glad to hear you're doing well. As for my absence, I just needed a break from this place. I did miss you guys though. So yeah, I've been doing good. School started about a week ago, so there's that.

  7. Wondering what to get for lunch.

  8. I'm just going to assume it's pleather. They seem technologically advanced enough that they can make synthetic materials.
  9. I've favorited a bunch of his stuff on DeviantArt. Humans or ponies, he sure knows what he's doing. I suppose this would be a good place to mention that I also liked their designs in Equestria Girls.
  10. I am most of the time. Sometimes they turn out poorly. Rarity is the worst when it comes to humanized designs though. Seldom does she ever look good because most artists are trying to make her look older and "handsome" rather than cute. Purple lipstick, while I see what they're going for, is honestly a terrible choice. Every now and then a good one comes along, but she seems to get the short end of the stick when drawn in any way other than a pony. As for the others, I do like humanized and anthro designs depending on the artist's style, and most seem to draw them in a way I find visually appealing. Sunset Shimmer anthros and humanizes better than anypony, in my opinion. Never seen it turn out poorly.
  11. I'm a loner who almost exclusively uses handguns (not a fan of energy weapons, btw) and scavenges for everything. Since I seldom have to buy anything, I'm not too concerned with making money or selling off what stuff I find. I take what I can use and leave the rest behind.
  12. The original Sailor Moon was running when I was a kid, and I made sure not to tell anybody that I liked it because I knew I'd never hear the end of it from the other guys. Funny to see so many men my age these days that love Sailor Moon. Been a long time since I've seen it, but a few old scenes occasionally come to mind. For instance, I don't remember the context, but I remember one of the girls putting a cassette into a boom box, and thinking back on that is kind of funny. So many people who are currently the age I was then would have no idea what that is. So now I need to start on this new series. Time to start scouring the usual places in search of a fansub. I've researched nothing on the show itself though. Can anybody tell me if this takes place in the 90s, or whatever the girls are up to these days in their normal lives?

Every time i start Steam the system tray icon seems to change, at least under GNOME Shell, half the time there is no icon, it uses a giant icon, or right now this small icon: https://i.imgur.com/hybrlQN.png, I guess that has to do with me using the beta version of the Steam client.

  17. Rather amusing question to see posed on a forum with a large portion of its members still in their mid teens. I can't add much more that hasn't already been stated by Jeric and The JLmle. As of writing this, I'm 25 years-old. I will be 26 in less than a month. Past the quarter-century mark. The next milestone is 50, which is twice my current age. Getting there will no doubt be much like my journey to 25: getting here felt like it took a long time, but in retrospect it was here in a flash. How old we feel has little to do with our age, I think. It's often said that wisdom comes with age, but it doesn't. Wisdom comes with experience. But because longevity provides more opportunities to experience new things and figure stuff out, they often coincide, and people therefore get the two confused. By the time I reached 19 I had already been through many tribulations and hardships. The aggregation of which left me feeling pretty old, to be honest. I was world-weary before I hit 20. Over the past several years I've overcome a lot of things that were really dragging me down emotionally, and learned to be a lot more social than I was growing up due to a number of circumstances I had to endure. Nowadays, at the age of 25, I feel younger than I did when I was 18. This is a feeling I want to hold on to and I know how to do it. No matter how long I live, I'm going to continue doing what makes me feel good. I see so many people, such as my parents, holding themselves back because of their age and stating that they're too old for something they want to do. Not me. Whenever I see an opportunity to do something that interests me, I'm going for it. I refuse to fetter myself. I often joke though about feeling old due to the fact so many of my friends here aren't even out of school yet, and I'm now more than 8 years done with that. All in good fun. ^^
