My dad bought a cheap one, and I actually was going to buy a decent one to learn, but I kinda haven't done so, because I'm to busy trying to learn guitar and keep up with Trumpet, not to mention singing on the side.

  11. This is something I've thought about a lot since I was little, as it was a common question in school from both peers and teachers. Assignments were given for us to write about or put together a display of some kind talking about our heroes and what they mean to us. To be honest, throughout all of my childhood, I could never think of one. Everyone else cited an athlete, except for a couple who cited a musician. Never because of the person's altruism or any praiseworthy traits of character, only because of their wealth or something they had done to earn them their fame. To me these things were always worthless. I looked for somebody on whom to base my character; somebody who could show me how to be a man of noble convictions, never finding any. All these years later as I revisit the question, I can only think of one man that will no doubt be lauded in here by several other people to come. Mr. Rogers. I watched his show as a child but somehow forgot about it and him along the way. Such is childhood. Reflecting though, I think he actually had a great impact on me. I'd also like to bring this up: And it's something I firmly believe in. All of the people I've known throughout my life who have had a kind word to spare or a reassuring touch. The relatively tiny portion of people who have shown me the smallest amount of kindness stand out in my memory above the multitude who have sought to do me harm, and for them I have the utmost gratitude and respect. And so, whenever I can, I try to do somebody a good turn, a solid, offer whatever help or edification I can during a time of hardship. I believe these are the people who can do the most good for this world.
  12. I believe I've disproved this one many times. You know what I'm talking about.
  13. Swear words can be, as Kirk and Spock put it, "colorful metaphors." In the proper context and with the proper audience, and at the proper time and in suitable conversations, they can add zest, feeling, humor (even "clean" humor), and cheerfulness so one's statements. I don't need them, however. I think I've proved in my writing around here both casually and in formal forum announcements that I have a firm enough grasp on the English language to convey depth of feeling without profanity, but sometimes I feel like taking it easy and letting my thoughts flow freely and unfiltered, within reason. When overused or spoken out of place, they can do just as much harm. Know your audience. Just as you don't go to a funeral or a wedding (hopefully) wearing your pajamas, you shouldn't sling profanity in the presence of people who find it distasteful for any reason. You may not find it offensive and that's cool, I don't either, but friendship involves drawing boundaries. I am friends with very disparate people who reflect different parts of my character and personality, and manage to get along with each of them because I know what each finds acceptable and unacceptable, and respect their wishes. It's no inconvenience to you if another person wishes you to refrain from such language, so have the courtesy to honor that.
  14. Did you leave a card binder in my hotel room?

Nope. I was wondering whose that was, but it sure wasn't me. Unless someone snuck into my car across town and put it there.

  15. I really dig your signature! Byakuya and Senbozakura <3 ^^

      Thanks. I really appreciate that.

“Let me tell you about the difference between you and me. It’s like the story of the monkey trying to capture the moon. However close he thinks he is to the moon, it's still just the reflection of the moon in the middle of the lake.

No matter how he struggles to capture that “moon”, the inevitably sinks to the bottom of that lake to no avail.

[You] will never reach me.” — Kuchiki Byakuya

  16. Not much. Only two things are coming to mind: MLP and Star Trek. Why Star Trek? I dunno. Maybe because I grew up with it. Reading this made me lol, which made me feel young and care free. Thanks.
