  1. More Celestia would be nice to see, but they must not have many ideas or much use for her if she's been scarce. Personally, I'd rather they leave her out until they have something cool or meaningful for her to do rather than shoehorning her in just so they can say that she was there. Same way I feel about mane 6 appearances too.
  2. I wouldn't worry about breaking the "news" to your parents or anyone. Let them find out on their own, assuming they ever do. It's not a big deal. Not many people in my life realize I'm a brony. Just isn't relevant to their interests to know. But welcome to our forum, good to have you! You dont have to hide anything or think of some awkward way to bring up ponies here. If you need help with anything, let me know and I'll be glad to lend a hand.
  3. >:\ Now you're speaking a language I can understand, but I already recorded this for you (and whoever else) while still stunned. It's long, but I swear it's worth every minute listen to it anyway. http://vocaroo.com/i/s1VKNaBLODzE edit:
  4. , @Sugar Cube, , , Terribly sorry, but I wanted to say a few very important things in my last post and forgot: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1G9CG0g4Kmp

  7. I don't worry myself much with semantics. The trekkie vs. trekker debate never meant anything to myself, and I've always called myself a trekkie because I think it sounds better, and I classify myself as one despite nearly no involvement with the fandom because I love Star Trek. For the same reason, I call myself a brony. No need to over-complicate this.
  8. I can't sleep nights till I discover who hurled what ball through what apparatus.

Sports are dumb. Grown men chasing little balls while the rest of the world pays money to applaud.

They are living vicariously through the athletes. It helps them to forget that they are fat and average for a while

  9. I have several hundred dollars worth of merchandise. One could say I'm a collector, like people who are into Legos, Transformers, etc. I wouldn't say I take it to the extreme though. Despite owning so much, I refuse to buy the same thing multiple times, like identical blind bags, just because it's part of a new wave and has a newly designed bag. Sure, I attend BronyCon annually and meetups every now and then, but I have IRL friends that I don't shirk, a job, and expenses that I meet before buying stuff I want and driving to the ends of the earth. My desires can wait until my needs are fulfilled. Taking it "to the extreme" is a largely subjective thing. In my opinion, one isn't taking it to the extreme so long as they're attending events and buying merchandise out of their abundance of disposable time and income rather than its scarcity. Those who do obsess and sacrifice their necessities for it are probably making up for some other deficiency in their personal lives. Filling a void of some kind. Not a healthy thing to do, but I can understand.
  10. I certainly do appreciate you making the effort! You can try using the search function if a manual look doesn't work, but sometimes that won't turn up anything either. I merged your thread with an older one, just so you know.
  11. Eight pages and nothing productive has come of this thread, with people going off on several tangents and feelings of discomfort and animosity throughout. Just like every one of these threads that preceded it. Who could have foreseen that? Fortunately though, it hasn't escalated to levels past threads have, and before it inevitably does, I'm going to save some people their feelings and ourselves the pointless work by terminating it now.
  12. I too am a fan of other things, as well as MLP. Twilight is my favorite, but RD and all of the others hold a special place in my heart too, of course. Glad to have you here. Plenty to see and do and plenty of good people here.
  13. So long as it's done well and doesn't look tacky, I would.
  14. You're asking for some creative help with writing something, so this would be a little more suitable for Creative Resources. I'll move it over there.

  17. Listen here. I can't deny how strong yet smooth Morgan Freeman's voice is, but Kevin Michael Richardson is an accomplished voice actor with a voice like that too, and needs more recognition. He could fulfill the role of a villain or a sage. Check out this and this. I could listen to him all day.

I started telling him about my favorite anime and that he should watch it, and in the process got the urge to watch it again myself. This is his fault.

  19. Should he get turned into a pony, I foresee nothing changing except perhaps his approach to wooing Rarity. Maybe he would believe he'd have a better chance as a pony. Who knows, maybe he would. I'm sure he'd at least give it a shot. Dragon Quest taught Spike that who he is has nothing to do with what he is or where he came from. His relationship with his friends, his interactions with ponies about town, and his overall lifestyle would remain unaltered, in my opinion.
  20. A dragon who eats hay fries isn't one I'd fear. Given that he's lived with Twilight since birth, he must have acquired pony tastes and doesn't care about meat. That aside, there's still the fact that dragons are sentient and have shown themselves to be no less intelligent than ponies or any of the other predominant races, even if they are more aggressive by nature. Any of them could overcome their natural tendencies if they had the desire to do so, and Spike is happy with his life among ponies and their allies. Reminds me a bit of Drizzt living among dwarves and humans. There's nothing to fear from Spike.
