      Well I've been thinking about upgrading my custom rig to quad channel 8 GB, but really, there's no point. I've had 50 tabs open in Chrome, all doing different stuff before. I game in 1080p a lot. I mean, for the general user, you'll never need 8 gigs of RAM. Now if you're running simultaneous MONSTER programs all the time, that's different lol But I just think having 8 gigs of RAM is a little over-hyped.
