But yeah. 9's battles...it seems like it takes forever before you can actually do something. I like this about 10. You get into a battle, it takes 2 seconds, boom boom boom, we're at Turn 4. XD

I always played 2 player on 9 so i guess that maybe made the battles feel a bit faster because i thought the battle speed was fine

They just seemed to take forever to load, I guess. I don't know if it was a hardware limitation of the PS1 or if it was inefficient coding. Once you got going, it was okay. But there would be half a dozen different pan shots before Turn 1 even began. And when you're hitting random encounters left and right, it begins to feel tedious.
