Yes.
It's very complicated when I talk about my family. For simplicity, we'll say I have between one and seven siblings
If you want to know more, continue.
When I was 10 years old, my two brothers, one sister, and myself were all removed from our parents. They weren't very good parents. They did drugs. Lots of them. And my father beat us pretty regularly. We bounced around foster homes, yadda yadda. There's a lot more life story stuff in there, but for the sake of keeping this short, I'll leave that stuff out haha Eventually, my parents had another kid, which made us 5 total. By blood, I have 4 siblings. When I was 15, they split us all up, leaving just me and my oldest younger brother (as I am the oldest in this group) in a single home and taking the other three and putting them in another home. They were finally adopted into a family who already had 3 kids, so by adoption, those kids became my brothers and sisters too.
So if you count how many siblings I lived with, I have only one.
If you count the siblings related to me by blood, I have four.
If you count the siblings I basically adopted when my blood siblings were adopted, I have seven.
The way my family works is veeeeeery complicated
