    Last night my roommate was cooking something in the oven that he had put honey all over. He burned it by mistake. It turns out that burning honey smells like baking cookies, I shit you not.

    There were reports of a gunman at my university earlier this morning. I ended up being on campus when it occurred. They had news helicopters, state police, and all sorts of emergency response searching campus. Thankfully, no shots were fired and nobody was injured. 1½ hours after the initial report, they called off the search. Officers remain on campus just as a precautionary measure. I'll update as soon as I know more.

      I went to a flea market a couple weeks ago and they were selling VHS tapes for 10 cents each. I remember when I was a kid, they cost as much as DVDs cost now. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

      Well crap, even DVDs are cheap these days. I do remember when you could go to the pawn shops and get a dozen tapes for five dollars. It's crazy how fast things change nowadays. Like, VHS lasted for many, many years. I'm sure in the next 5 to 10 years, blu ray will have gone the way of the dodo.
