It's fun to go on Google Maps and look at the satellite & street views of your favorite places.

One of the coolest things about Street View is that you can rewind time and see how places have developed. Sometimes, I can find places I used to live and on a couple of occasions, the Google car drove by while I was home so I can see cars I used to own, which is pretty cool
@Flutterstep If you get in, I'll pay handsomely for a Switch that doesn't drop frames in Korok Forest

Flies are the worst. That is until my cat sees one. I don't have to kill the fly, my cat is entertained, and I'm entertained watching him be entertained. It's a win-win! Unless, of course, you are the fly.

honestly I’m interested in getting an Xbox Series X but even with the scalping and shortages aside I don’t have a disposable income at the moment

That feeling when the game I've been waiting for 3 years is finally out, but I have to wait until the end of December to play comfortably and fully enjoy it. And somehow avoid spoilers

I'm changing careers. Four years in college for this. Makes me sad I've wasted 10 years of my life studying and working in a field that makes me miserable. Sunk cost and all that, I guess.

Thank you for the tip. That makes a lot of sense. Given that everything is beginning to move to cloud, that's probably here to stay.
My brother-in-law works for Microsoft so I would like to think that before I were to try any vendor-specific certs that I could network with a few of his guys and that help me land a job. He also knows several guys who work at Dell so that might be another option. I'm also planning to hit up some job fairs after I get A+ to help make a few other connections in case I don't get any leads otherwise.
If nothing else, I guess I can always fall back on my business degree to keep having an extremely middle-class life, lol. But I'll definitely look into cloud. Again, thank you for the tip.

I decided last year, actually, that accounting is draining the life out of me. I should have seen it when I was swapping RAM kits in my school's computer lab when I was 14. So I'm going into IT. Currently, I'm studying the certs. Gonna start with the CompTIA trifecta and hopefully I can leverage my business degree to get into a decent paying job. I'd like to not have to take a huge pay cut unless there's a lot of potential to move way up pretty fast.
There's are also a few jobs I've seen on Indeed that will allow you to come in and interview (maybe even offer you a job) if you can obtain a certain certification within six months of your start date so I'm not even sure I have to complete the trifecta. I'd like to go into networking. I don't know if that's where the money's at, but the way I see it, as long as there are computers, they will need to be networked. Given that, after I get the trifecta (or even just A+ and Net+), I think I'm going to jump right into Cisco certs.
I don't care if I land my first job super overqualified. I don't have any experience so that's just the other side of the coin. I've already read 18 chapters in my book - officially the longest book I have read in my life up to this point - and I've bought some study materials. I'm hoping to schedule my first exam in the next couple weeks and maybe get my first job by February. Fingers crossed.
ETA - I wanted to do this last year, but I got a new job and I figured I was happy enough in it to stay. I really don't want to have to give up accounting, but my therapist helped me get over the mental hump so I'm just going full send into this thing. Screw it. I ain't getting those years back. The best thing I can do for myself is to take the time I have left in front of me.

Thank you. I'm working on a lot of things right now. Seeing a therapist has made me realize how much power I actually do have to make my own decisions. Everything I've done is to make my adoptive parents happy with me. And I'm beginning to realize that by doing that, I'm fueling a self-destructive loop. I'm almost thirty. It's time to live my life for me.
