Woot! Welcome back to the eternal hive mind. lol

  2. Rosewood @,@@Windbreaker, @@Evilshy, Rosewood wrote the orders down on a small scrap of paper. Once Rosewood finished taking Bellinda's order she stepped back through the same door she came out of earlier. Several minutes passed before the three of you saw any sign of her. When she came back out she had two plates on her back, her wings were extended to help keep them balanced. Rosewood was also balancing a small platter with a teapot and two small cups. The two cups and platter were made of clay while the teapot was expensive china. Now that she was no longer behind a counter you could see her cutie mark, a wooden stool. Rose set the platter down first with the teapot's handle facing Poppy. She turned to the right and slid the plate of scones off of her wings. Since the two of you were in the middle of a discussion she didn't say anything though she did look back at Poppy to give her a wink. The mare walked over to where Bellinda was sitting and...staring at something on her hoof. Rose slid the plate off of her wing and onto the table in front of Bellinda. On the plate was one roll and some purple jelly in a small bowl. "Here you go, we only have grape jelly right now. Rye made it himself this morning. IS there anything else I can do for you?"
  3. Mirror stared at Cherry, she wasn't entirely sure whether this was a joke or Cherry was being serious. Sometimes it was hard to tell. "I think she might be going to practice for the play with her friends. I guess we missed running into her on the way back..." Mirror looked around, it didn't seem like any pony else was here to care for the hotel. That seemed a little odd since the first guests were finally here. "Well if you want we can use my key and pick yours up later tonight when she gets back." She suggested. "I don't think they'd mind though....if nopony else is here to take care of the guests."
  4. Silne Veras @,@@Windbreaker, @, "I...." Silne started to speak but paused. Mercy was for the weak. By all rights even the suspicion of being a Witch sympathizer was enough evidence to kill them. "Thank you for your cooperation." She said, her face devoid and voice devoid of emotion. She reached for her pouch, removing it from her belt. Instead of counting out the coins she tossed the entire pouch onto the table in front of the man. "Consider yourself lucky that we aren't publicly executing you for selling enchanted items." Silne grabbed all three of the cursed items, carefully stowing them away. Without looking at Deseer she turned around and looked at the other two Witch Hunters. "If either of you want to, feel free to help pay for the items. We should report to Hunter Tathla and gather more information after that."
  5. It had been very dark in the theater and Mirror hadn't gotten a good look at Scribblegroove. In fact she wasn't even aware this was the same pony. The fact that he hadn't attempted to talk to her was fine with her. She hadn't appreciated the way he shifted the blame entirely onto Cherry. "You still could have told her. It's more Embarrassing that she walked through the town with your snot in her mane than it would have been to tell her. Let's just go to the hotel Cherry." Mirror said walking past the both of them. She stopped in front of Belle, it didn't seem right to just ignore her but at the same time there really wasn't anything to say after the altercation with Scribblegroove. Instead of introducing herself she just muttered an apology before continuing towards the hotel.
  6. @, @@Windbreaker, Silne smiled. This might not be as challenging as expected. It seemed that even after centuries the Witch Hunters were still feared here. That was good, it made things easier. "Why yes, I do believe that you can help me. Do you see these three items over here?" Silne pointed towards the coin, the box, and the dagger. "We'll be taking them. Now I'll give you your options. One, you can refuse, which means we will take them by force and ruin you and your business." She placed her hand so that it drew attention to the mace that hung at her side. "I'm sure it's taken many years of your life to get this business so well established. It would be a shame for all of that hard work to go to waste. just because you refused to cooperate." The Witch Hunter looked directly at the small wooden box. "I'll also make a point to ruin your reputation. Whether the box is genuine or not doesn't matter. We'd just need to point out how...different the box is from the rest of the objects. Naturally, the gossip that your selling false wares will spread on its own." "Two, and this is the better option, so please pay attention. You can cooperate and give us the items, which will leave you with two further choices. You can either accept eight gold coins for all three or you give the items and we will treat this as a favor. I'm sure I don't need to tell a merchant as smart as you which is more valuable, eight miserable gold coins or having the Witch Hunters in your debt." Silne flashed the merchant another, rather predatory smile. She placed her hand on her weapon, on the very off-chance that the merchant tried something foolish. "Feel free to choose at your leisure."
  7. "Sure, I think I would like that." Rosewood replied with a wink, "Though I'm afraid we only have Barley Tea. Is that fine?" Rosewood watched as Poppy counted out the bits for the meal. "They uh..did tell you that all expenses are covered by the Prince, right? that covers food and most other things, excluding Knick Knacks 'works of art.'" Rose looked back behind her at the kitchen. "I'll get you your tea and scones in a moment. Rye's gonna get mad if I spend too long with one customer. Sorry...." Rosewood said as she signaled for the next pony to come order their food.
  8. If it were me I'd go with a mixture of the two. I'd buy a few highend parts. Namely the motherboard and CPU. Then I'd buy just part of the rest. Like just one GTX 970. And only 6-8 gigs of RAM. That way at later points I could drop the money to SLI a second a graphics card and double the RAM. I've always been told that Intel is the way to go for Nvidia and AMD is best for Radeon. As it stands, if say you're making the right choice about Nvidia since they dominate the PC market and AMD is in the consoles. Plus Nvidias drivers are better. I'm pretty sure I went with a full sized case. As big as I could get. I can't remember the type it falls under but it weighs close to 80 pounds fully built.
  9. Rosewood @, @@Windbreaker, Rosewood smiled in response to Poppy's gaze. "Oh! Well Miss Poppy, my apologies. I'd be ever so appreciative if you didn't repeat anything you might have heard, especially to the other staff. It could land me in some potential trouble if a certain two individuals hear about it. Gossip has a way of spreading quickly here, you see. In fact I'd even consider myself indebted to you. And I always pay back my debts." @@Windbreaker, "Just something to keep in mind. Now what can I do for you and your...friend?" The way she finished her sentence it sounds like she might have been asking more than one question. @@Evilshy, @@FortyTwo42,

  11. @@Windbreaker @ "Oh for the Moon's sake. What do they want now?" The stallion sighed, "Can you go see what they want? I have to keep cooking if we dont want to get in trouble with Mr. Cask." You don't really hear much of anything in way of a verbal response from the mare. It's not long before you can hear her hoofsteps approaching the counter. "Yeah, what is it?" A Pegasus mare walks through a pair of half-doors that swivel outward. She's a little tall with an athletic build. Even though her muscles are well-developed they don't detract too much from her looks. Her coat is a faint red while her mane and tail are an equally light pink. Her mane is of a medium length and rather messy. you can't get a good look of her tail or cutie mark from behind the counter. "Oh buck me in the ass..." Rosewood mutters once she gets a look at Poppy Seed. Its well hidden but there's a barely noticeable blush on her face. "I um...I'm Rosewood. I really hope you haven't been standing here too long..." The mare lifts a powder-covered hoof up to rub the back of her head while she nervously smiles at you. "Is there something I can help you with Mrs...?" It seems that a Rosewood hasn't seen Dove yet.
  12. @,@, @@Windbreaker, Silne nodded in greeting to Alice, "Hello, I'm Silne. Pleasure to meet you I'm sure. If you'll excuse me for just a moment. I have a few questions for our shopkeep." She said as she walked past her fellow Witch Hunter. Silne made her way through the crowd until she was directly in front of the stall. "I'd like to speak with...Deseer. I have a few questions about some of these relics." Cursed Relics would be worth investigating. Even if a witch wasn't involved, the magicked relics would need to be destroyed. ((OOC: Sorry this was so short. Class started ten minutes ago.))
  13. @@Windbreaker, @, @, "Oh, uh...really?" Silne asked incredulously. "You had the time to practice dancing? Hard to imagine that we both were apprentices. Hunter Eitan, you might have heard of him, only gave us a little bit of free time, usually just to socialize with other apprentices. Other than that it was mostly mental conditioning. So I spent the time either talking with the others or licking my wounds, if you will." Silne left it at that. At least in her part of the Spire, Hunter Eitan was well known for hardening the more...empathetic and weak-willed children. As the pair neared the marketplace several stalls caught Silne's eye. Though the most interesting one right now was the stall she could see the least of. A crowd had gathered around one of the stalls. The supplies could wait a few minutes, just long enough to sate her curiosity. "Let's see what that stall has for sell. It might have something useful." Silne said as she made her way through the crowd towards the stall.
  14. @@Midnight Scribbler, @@FortyTwo42, @, @@FirstPonySpectre, Red Cask waited until all four of you had gathered at the door to the library. Once you were all gathered he spoke up, "If you would be so kind as to follow me." He turned turned around and pushed the doors open. The steward led you back the way you had came. It wasn't long before you were at the gates of the mansion. "If there is nothing else that I may do for you, I ask that you excuse me." Red Cask said, briefly waiting to see if there was something that a pony needed helkp with or wanted to ask."
  15. Mirror gave an internal with of relief once it was clear Cherry was willing to not bring up the rehearsal again. There wasn't much to say about it anyway.... Meeting new ponies wasn't exactly what Mirror had in mind but she'd probably have to meet them sooner or later. "I guess we can do that. If we run into any of them on the way back." Mirror trailed off as she followed behind Cherry. It really wasn't something she had wanted to do but being other ponies would probably be good for Cherry at the least. Mirror stopped waking when Cherry stopped to turn around. The Pegasus began to say something about dinner and paused mid sentence, her face twisted in disgust. Mirror wanted to ask what was wrong but found her voice was caught in her throat. instinctively, she looked down. The mucus on her cloak was at such an angle that Mirror couldn't see it. None of her burns were showing. They were still carefully hidden behind her cloak and mask. Even without the ability to use her magic she was still capable of covering everything up. She looked back up to watch Cherry inspect her mane. "Ewwww. That's disgusting." Mirror whined. "Oh Celestia, it didn't get on me did it!" It wasn't a question so much as a realization. Cherry had been looking at her when she decided to look at her mane. "Let's just-" Mirror inhaled and then exhaled quickly, "Let's just go to our room. If we hurry we can clean up." [/b]@Windbreaker, As you near the counter the two voices become clearer. From the way they're speaking to each other you can tell they don't know that they have company. "Look, Rosey. I know that you're kind of frustrated about this whole thing but we have to endure for just a few weeks. I'd really appreciate it if you would at least try to enjoy this." The voice you could hear was the stallion's. He sounded tired and a little hurt. The next voice to speak clearly belongs to the mare. Judging by the tone of her voice you can tell that she's unhappy and just as frustrated as the stallion. "Rye, I hate cooking. You know that, I know that, the whole town knows that. I love you but the only reason I'm here playing waitress is that those two old bats are trying to get back at me for how they treat the Pupp-" "No!" The stallion interrupted the mare. His voice was demanding and sharp. Though it grew more empathetic as he continued to speak. "Rosewood we agreed to not bring this up. I know he's your friend but Mrs. Lapis and Mrs. Gemma say he's trouble. I don't trust him. Besides, talking about this will only make the next few weeks harder and pass slower." "Why do you always listen to them more than you listen to me?" "What does that even mean?" It seems that the two of you have come at rsther poor time. As the two ponies in the back descend into shouting at each other you realize that the chances of them noticing you on their own is rsther slim. You'll have to get their attention or come back later. ((OOC: Sorry if the dialogue is bad. I'm not even sure how late it is. It feels like I've been writing this from my phone for quite a long time now.))
  16. Silne nodded in response. There really wasn't anything to do around here for now. "So...." Silne awkwardly paused, she hadn't really thought far enough ahead to actually have a topic to talk about. Everyone had been raised by the Witch Hunters since they were children, asking about people's pasts only ever seemed to result in one of two ways. Either you didn't remember anything or it opened old wounds. Usually the former. Silne looked around quickly, the wall surrounding the town was....conspicuous by all accounts. There wasn't even a stone building in sight. In fact everything looked rather dreary compared to the wall. Though talking about the wall wouldn't be a very good topic. "...what do-er-did you do in your spare time?"
  17. MIRROR IMAGE @@Golbez, "I-uh I'm fine." Mirror slightly jerked her head to the left which broke her eye contact with Cherry. "And I didn't run away!" She added hastily. The unicorn cleared her throat whils backing out of reach of Cherry's hoof. "I'm just...a little tired, but I'm glad you're back, Cherry." She said with a smile. it seemed like she was eager to avoid the earlier topic. Mirror suddenly stepped forward and gave Cherry a quick nuzzle. "I'm ready to leave when you are. We didn't get to practice but...that might be for the best." @@Windbreaker, @, The cafe you've entered is well-lit by five large windows. There are three unlit lanterns hanging from the ceiling. There are several tables evenly spread around a hearth. Each table has several pillows laid around it. Just like with the hotel the furniture looks brand new when compared to the wooden walls of the building. From the entrance you can hear two voices in another room behind counter. You can't hear what is being said but you can tell that one voice belongs to a mare and the other belongs to a stallion.
  18. Red Cask @@FirstPonySpectre, @, @, "Very well, I shall escort you out. Please, I ask that you excuse me for just a moment." Red Cask replied. The stallion performed an exceptionally rote and reserved bow before quickly walking in the direction of the other guests. It wasn't long before he found Emerald, Aero, and Sunset. "Pardon the interruption. Lady Bittersweet has requested to go back to leave the mansion. If any of you would like to leave as well, now is the time. For those of you who choose to stay, if any, I ask that you remain here in the library until I return." Red Cask turned around and began walking back to the exit where Bittersweet stood. Gemma & Lapis @@Gloomfury, @@Scribblegroove, Gemma politely waited until Belle had finished writing on her notepad. She must admit that she was at least a tad curious as to what the mare was doing. A soft gasp echoed throughout the theater which drew the attention of her sister. Lapis walked nearer to Belle so that she could read the message herself. "Oh, why thank you, Miss Belle. Its quite a relief that your so understanding about the situation. I promise you, that despite their age they are highly skilled actors. They've been practicing every day since they were fillies. We taught them everything we knew. " Lapis smiled, no small amount of pride in her voice. "And then some. 19. Ah thank you. I've always asked people to review how Silver Heart looked, she was my first OC and since I'm colorblind (grayscale only), I was always worried about her appearance and colors. I truly thought I had chosen a purple or blue for the eyes. Thanks again. Edit: Just in case it wasn't clear no one ever said anything beyond "It looks fine."
  20. Meh why not. I've never done one based solely on design here. If you do multiple, could you review the three in my signature please? If you only choose one, Please review either Mirror Image or Silver Heart please.
  21. The advice given by Hunter Tathla seemed pretty standard, it wasn't anything she hadn't heard before. Though that was most likely because that sort of advice was the best for apprentices. It would be prudent to be cautious here, it's been too long since the Witch Hunters had any real presence on this island at all. Some of the people might not even remember the organization. Then again, who knos, maybe the name will still carry enough wait that they will be able to act freely. SIlne followed behind the others, grabbing her leather coat and hastily pulling it over the chain armor. It felt awkward to be wearing a coat over the rest of her armor, almost a little restricting. It's something she will need to get used to though, hopefully it'd be broken in by the time they move on from this town. Silne was the last to make her way off of the ship. Regardless of the fact this wasn't her favorite weather but being out of the cargo hold felt absolutely wonderful. Silne turned her attention to the other apprentice, "Oh, it's a pleasure to meet you. You can call me Silne. Pleasure to meet you." The woman politely smiled at Aaren. "I believe that will work, so long as we can stop at a few shops along the way." (OOC: Short post because I lack time and need to get to working on school stuff but would like to keep us moving.)
  22. This is pretty cool actually. If you don't mind doing three, Mirror Image Snowy Fields Silver Heart
  23. A few seconds of silence passed before the muffled sound of a lock turning could be heard. The door slowly opened only far enough that the masked mare could peak her head through. She looked to the left, then the right, and finally past Cherry to make sure that they were alone. "Oh, thank Celestia you're back." she muttered before throwing her forehooves around Cherry's neck, lightly squeezing the mare, she trembling slightly. "Um....how was your trip?" Mirror asked as she released Cherry and stepped back. She smiled at Cherry, with her mask on it was difficult to tell whether or not it was genuine. ((OOC: Sorry this is so short, I'm in class.)
  24. Silne sat on top of a wooden crate that had hastily shoved against the wall. It wasn't the most comfortable seat, but after all their training she was more than hapoy to give her aching muscles some deprive. She was also somewhat thankful, yet somehow slightly disappointed, that no one had bothered her so far. However this gave her time to observe the other apprentices. None of whom she had had the pleasure to meet yet. The mangiant, whose name she believed to be Gron, was currently sparring with the other warrior of the group, Ivon-something. Gron's style of fighting interested her more than Ivon's. Seeing a warrior use a shield for offense wasn't very rare in itself, however she had never seen someone use it with out a weapon in the other hand. It seemed oddly fitting to her. Besides the two apprentices sparring there was also Alex Mare, who seemed a little too hot-headed and confrontational for her own good. At the moment she seemed pretty angry over whatever had happened with Aaren and "Masquerade", who had just started talking to each other. Silne slid off of the crate and quickly stretched her muscles, she had a feeling she'd be doing that a lot today. It would probably be rude to interrupt Ivon and Gron's sparring match or force her way into Aaren and Masquerade's conversation. That left only Alex or the Hunter. While seemingly difficult the choice wasactuallu quite easy, she had a few questions for Hunter Tathla. Once she had finished stretching she quickly adjusted her chain maile so that it was slightly more comfortable and Quietly walked over to Hunter Tathlas. She stopped a few feet away, mostly out of respect for his personal space and partly because she was far enough away that if he decided to strike her she could still move out of the way. Silne waited several seconds before saluting him and the. She spoke "Hunter Tathlas, do we have any intel on the port city and where we should start our investigation or are we going in entirely blind?"
  25. The pony continued walking forward until he was next to Bellinda. Now that you had a good look at his face you could tell it was Wagon Wheel, "I'm not entirely sure. Technically, I'm not a staff member or a guest. I'm from an independent company. I think they said something about a bell though." The stallion said, with as much of a shrug as he could muster. "If you'll excuse me I have to drop the luggage off..." The pony didn't wait for a response and started walking towards the inn.
