  1. I think it's time for me to leave. It's been heartening to see the fandom alive and well, but my love for MLP is purely nostalgic at this point. I just don't think it's right to pretend I'm still the brony I once was. But I want to reiterate how much this community means to me. I'll never forget the first time I read My Little Dashie.

Or the fun I had in TF2 pony servers. The discussions, creepypastas, PMVs, music, everything. It was perfect. Thank you. /)

I understand that feeling :(, really bad you couldn't afford to renovate your interest in it, but I hope the little time you spent here gave you a fun experience, it's always good to remember the past, wish you a good future! Adios!  :coco:

  2. Damn, just found this PMV in one of my old playlists from 2011. I really liked this one back then for some reason.

  3. Goodnight everyone.

  4. Maybe. It was a huge fantasy of mine at 13 and it still entices me. It wouldn't be a cure-all, but I think my general mood would be brightened moving to Equestria, especially in todays world. Leaving family and friends behind would obviously be painful, but that didn't enter into the equation when I was younger, haha.
  5. Not bad. Finally started treatment for OCD today after years of telling myself I could deal with it alone.
  6. Most things nowadays honestly, but Youtube Kids disabling comments is one of the most annoying. How the hell is this for kids Youtube?
  7. Absolutely. As an introverted teen, the community opened up my true personality and provided that sense of belonging I'd craved since primary school. The genuine passion of the fandom rubbed off on me, and encouraged me to share my interests with friends and strangers alike. And creatively, it introduced me to new genres of music and literature that forever shaped my own writing style. Sometimes it made life more difficult, but the positives always outweighed the negatives. If nothing else, it made me finally embrace my inner geek instead of hiding it away. A decade later, after so much has changed, this show and fandom still holds a special place in my heart. Same here. I rarely listened to music until discovering WoodenToaster and AcousticBrony in 2011. Made those bus rides to school a bit more bearable.
  8. Happy Easter everyone!

      Happy Easter, My Friend. :squee:

  9. Spiderman. To the point I jumped down some stairs. It didn't end well.
  10. Those voice cracks are still so damn cute to me.

  11. I've had that cake so many times. Good choice. Hope you had a good birthday!
  12. Pretty much eating nothing but Easter eggs over the weekend.
  13. The Father. Took me far too long to get around watching it, but it scared me more than any horror film. Anthony Hopkins is just too damn good.
  14. Welcome, from one Rainbow Dash fan to another.
  15. Eating snack a jacks and watching Peep Show on a rainy day.
  16. On the bus ride home with a couple of mates, there was a drunk guy growling at people and spilling his cider everywhere. When he got off he threw the bottle like a discus and we were all laughing hysterically. No one was hurt fortunately, but it's a pretty funny memory. Outside of that, my school days were not particularly pleasant.
  17. Welcome! MLP had a similar effect on my brain back then too. Great taste in ponies by the way.
  18. Mostly helps, besides the occasional panic attack and migraine. But it may hinder me more if I don't quit my bad habits, mainly drinking and overthinking.
  19. I'll admit that EQG really soured me on MLP back in 2013. I think it's fine now, but I'll always prefer FiM. I still have some nostalgia for EQG videos though, even if the show itself didn't gel with me.
  20. Bit drunk. Close friend told me I've seemed less stressed recently. Returning to pony has been truly cathartic. Love you guys.

  21. YTP channels I'd subscribed to in 2009/10 started uploading pony videos in 2011. The songs and character designs were cute, but I refrained from joining the fandom until early 2012. Never did I think ponies would define my life for nearly 3 years thereafter, but there you go.
  22. Not a student anymore, but still relatable. Day in, day out.
  23. Found this rage comic I made in 2012 on my old Samsung phone. Just thought I'd share cause it gave me a chuckle.

Yeah, they were absolutely everywhere for a while. Stuff like herp derp, y u no and tfw became part of my vocabulary in high school. It's a bygone era, but one I'll always have a fondness for.

Memes had a notably longer lifespan back then. I have lost track of "meme culture" for quite some time now.

Me too, I'm still living in 2012. I think the MLP fandom would have lasted a few months at most in todays culture.

  24. It's a nickname I had in primary school. I actually despise it now but for some reason I kept using it well into my teenage years. Maybe a strange attempt to hold on to my childhood.
