Oh, I do delve into philosophy and culture as well. Here I'm talking mainly about life in its most basic forms: bacteria, viruses etc. Cancer cells are living cells with the simple objective of surviving and reproducing, and they're far from beautiful.

Beautiful in what way? The whole concept of beauty is in the area of philosophy. Science doesn't deal with beauty... at all.

But subjects of scientific interest can be considered beautiful in a non-scientific way. What I'm trying to say is: life, as a basic concept, is not as wonderful a thing as many seem to think. It allows for great things such as organic intelligence, but is per se a coldly scientific, unromantic phenomenon.

And here I tried to make this a humorous status update.
