  1. Parasprites are always annoying. COULD YOU PLEASE STOP REPRODUCING AND EATING EVERYTHING?!?! TPAM thinks very highly of themselves/has very high self-esteem,
  2. What made my day: Having a chocolate chip cookie bake-off with a group of three friends. I lost, but it significantly improved my day, for a very good reason. What completely ruined my day year, just yesterday I found out that my grandfather had passed away. He had been sick for a while, but I didn't expect it to happen this soon. I had seen him a month ago, but I feel guilty for not bothering to say goodbye in someway. He's in a better place now, and he'll always be in my heart. That's also why the cookie bake-off even happened. I was in a horrible mood, so my friends tried to cheer me up. Sorry for being depressing.
  3. This...is hard, to say the least. Ranked mostly by the number of songs I like by them. Also included are my favorite songs by them just because I want to. 5) Odyssey Eurobeat-Favorite Songs: Basically every single one of his show remixes. Also, Diamond Dogs, Luna and Gone. 4) PonyPhonic-Favorite Songs: The only two original songs he's released. Seriously, it says a lot when a guy who's only made 2 songs plus a cover makes it onto a top 5 musicians list. His two songs though are probably my 2 favorite in the fandom to date. I've listened to Lullaby for a Princess over 200 times according to ITunes (and that doesn't count the dozens of times I've listened to it just on Youtube) and I still get emotional. 3) Stormwolf-Favorite Songs:Perfect Picture, his remix of Icky Nightmare and Night Mares, Shadow of a Flower. Mainly on this list due to his collab with Glaze on Fruits of her Labour, which is definitely my third favorite Brony song (and my ringtone). I just realized that I'm humming it as I type this. The melody is just so pretty. 2) Aviators-Favorite Songs: Friendship, Never Back Down (with d.notive and Yelling at Cats), Spirit of Chaos, Monster, his remix of Eurobeat Brony's Luna. 1) Woodentoaster/Glaze-Favorite songs: Fruits of her Labour (with Stormwolf), She's a Pony Remix, Pinkie's Lie, Nightmare Night...actually, all of them. I haven't heard a song by him I have not liked. His music is just so replayable.
  4. I absolutely hate the notion that for a show to be good among an older male demographic, it has to "toughen up" or be not "girly". Face it, as a female myself, I admit that MLP is a feminine show. It's very pink, centers around princesses and episodes evolve around stereotypically "female" things (sleepovers, fashion, weddings...). This show is also very childish and Bronies seem to be convinced that their show is something of "epic" proportions, even though it's less "epic" or "adult" that most cartoons these days and films that the target demographic would be watching (e.g. Pixar, Disney or Dreamworks films). It's not a bad thing, and people have to stop convincing themselves that this show is "manly" or "epic". It's not. It's just a simple, innocent cartoon about cute ponies that many demographics can enjoy. Also, a guy watching a "girly" show should not be ridiculed (which I recognize is mostly society's problem, but the idea of losing or gaining manliness because of a TV show you watch is dumb).
  5. Maybe they're going to do showings in select theatres. Possibly pre-release screenings/premieres or something? I think a lot of straight-to-DVD movies have premieres in actual movie theatres. As far as I can tell, the movie will most likely be a TV movie anyway, so I doubt you'll have to pay to watch it regardless. An Equestria Girls stage production would be quite interesting. It would definitely work much better than an actual MLP stage production. Sure, it would probably be very weird, but less weird than massive horse costumes prancing around a stage.
  6. I really don't see why I shouldn't be, considering it seems like season 3 is the same general quality of the first 2 seasons, just slightly shorter. I'm sure season 3 probably would have been my favorite season if there were another 13 episodes of the same quality as the first 13. Let's see... It had some of my favorite episodes of the entire show (Sleepless in Ponyville and Magic Duel are my two most favorite episodes PERIOD, and Just for Sidekicks is probably in my top 5 and MMC, Crystal Empire and Wonderbolt Academy I particularly love), one episode I hated (SAYS) and one that I thought was "meh" (Apple Family Reunion, not because the episode was bad, but nothing stood out to me as particularly "good" either). KCAFO really bothered me because of the ending, but all-in-all it was an excellent episode humor and animation wise. The rest of the episodes were excellent in their own ways. Compared to season 1 or 2, at least in my opinion, season 3 probably had a way lower "good episode to bad episode" ratio. Also, this is the best Rainbow Dash season. She was awesome this season, and she rose all the way up to being one of my favorite ponies. However, since Rarity is my absolute favorite, I kind of have to take points off of season 3 just because they couldn't fit in an episode for her anywhere.
  7. Note to self: everytime something pony related is about to come out, go on 4Chan's /mlp/ and read all of their (always negative) reactions. They seriously lowered my expectations for this, and that turned out good for me considering that I was blown away by how much better it was than I expected.
  8. It was certainly pretty, that's for sure. Probably the best animated video that's longer than five minutes from the fandom to date. I liked Snowdrop's design, and she was pretty adorable. Voice Acting was OK, but when Snowdrop first opened her mouth my brain instantly connected her to Fluttershy and I couldn't shake the feeling that her voice actress was drawing too much of Fluttershy's voice for her Snowdrop voice. The idea of a blind pony was nice, although really, they were playing it up maybe a bit too much for my liking. Snowdrop being teased by her classmates comes to mind, but there's also this scene that left a really bad taste in my mouth. The one where Snowdrop and her mother are talking about wishing on stars, and Snowdrop asks if she could wish to see. Her mother tells her that it's better to "save her wishes for something really important". Sure, I get the message that they're trying to send here. However, right after this, there's this tiny bit of dialogue: Snowdrop: "Don't I really need my eyes? Mother: No, not you. You're too special for that. Something about that really rubs me the wrong way. I just can't put my finger on it. Yeah, the feels were very forced, but they were there all right. I did get a bit teary-eyed. Overall, it was pretty good. I mostly admire it for it's ambition and animation.
  9. Best Mane Style: 1) Rarity (It's completely illogical and probably near impossible to achieve in real life without gallons of hairspray, so therefore it's awesome) 2) Pinkie (mood-manes are awesome manes.) 3) Rainbow 4) Twilight 5) Applejack 6) Fluttershy (there's just something about the way it's parted that kind of annoys me). Most Likely Win a "Most Likely To Succeed" Award in a High School Yearbook 1) Twilight 2) Rarity 3) Rainbow 4) Pinkie 5) Applejack 6) Fluttershy Best Pet 1) Rainbow (that freaking tortoise is awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't at least one little girl out there who wants a tortoise because of MLP. Then again, I'm sure there are more people who just went out and bought ponies without knowing how much care and maintenance a living horse needs because of MLP.) 2) Pinkie 3) Twilight 4) Fluttershy 5) Rarity (meh. It's a typical cat. A picky snob.) 6) Applejack. (meh. It's a typical dog. An active animal who is useful, but still boring). Bestiest-Bestest Pony in the Whole Universe 1) Rarity 2) Rainbow 3) Twilight 4) Pinkie 5) Background Pony I am so sorry, Applejack. 6) Yellow Quiet.
  10. I usually do the ninja-ing myself. But, yeah, I've still been ninja'd. TPAM is going to celebrate Easter in someway.
  11. Every single Rarity moment is best Rarity moment. No, make that best pony moment. She shines every time she opens her mouth. As she's my favorite pony, I'm kind of biased.
  12. As much as I would like a new theme song, I'm not sure if they should change it (it's too iconic now) but at least changing the imagery would be nice. I could see Twilight maybe flying at the beginning instead of being in the balloon. The balloon is gone now as of Wonderbolts Academy anyway. Aside from that, I could see them changing the part where Celestia is looking at the picture of Twilight and her friends as well. Twilight is technically not Celestia's student anymore, and I kind of doubt the letters will be in season 4 unless they make up some weird reason (like everypony has to write letters to Twilight now).
  13. Do 10 second long Pinkie Pie jingles count? If so, it would definitely be the "Piggy Dance" from Baby Cakes by far. My gosh Pinkie, no wonder the Cakes cried. Other than that, I don't think that there has been any other song I've disliked. Some might not reach "This Day Aria", "Winter Wrap Up" or "A True True Friend" level of epicness (in my opinion), but I don't recall ever thinking "oh my gosh this song sucks there are no redeeming features."
  14. I use Netflix...both Canadian and American. There's a browser add-on called Hola Unblocker that allows foreign people to use American Netflix and other websites like Hulu. So, yay, I guess? I don't really care as long as HD pony episodes continue being on Youtube. I just really use Netflix to watch Community, How I Met Your Mother (which, oddly enough, both are only on Netflix Canada) and bad movies anyway.
  15. Band Geeks. Just Band Geeks...the entire episode. Not only was the musical number one of the most epic things ever in children's TV, but there are just so many great lines in it. "Is Mayonnaise an instrument?" is just one of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9GOeg7w2fw I recall episodes more than specific moments, but I remember really finding the episode "Graveyard Shift" and "Shanghaied" particularly hilarious, as well as the one where Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward get lost in the forest with that magic conch shell. Season 2 and 3 Spongebob was funniest Spongebob.
  16. I second Return of Harmony. although really, it all depends on what characters you think they'd like and what kind of humor they're into. Just don't show them an episode like Green is not your Color, for example, if you think that they wouldn't like Rarity. You could just go the traditional Brony route with Friendship is Magic parts 1 and 2, but I personally didn't find those episodes very endearing when I first watched them. I guess as a cartoon, it really doesn't matter what episode you start off on. Magical Mystery Cure is a no-go though, and your friend will probably just be confused. It also destroys the emotional aspect of the episode, which is seeing a character we know and love grow, as well as the nostalgic clips and references. Plus, a musical episode with 7+ songs is NOT a good episode to start people off on, regardless of what show it is.
  17. Twilight. Look, I hated her in season 1. I admit it. I feel like such an idiot looking back at it, but before season 2 premiered she was at the bottom of my mane 6 ranking. I guess I found her bossiness annoying, or I thought that she was a Mary-Sue or something. I think I also thought it was annoying how she was shoe-horned into every single episode just to give the lesson at the end. Now that I'm a year and a half smarter, she's my second favorite pony. She's funny, relatable, sarcastic, adorkable, and NOT a Mary-Sue. Seeing her evolve throughout the seasons and seeing her get what she deserves in Magical Mystery Cure is, actually, a really endearing aspect of the show. I can't wait to see what they'll do with this development, but I bet she'll just be the same old Twilight that I've grow to love over seasons 2 and 3. Also, Celestia. She has so much backstory potential, and she's awesome. I overlooked this during the first two seasons, and I don't think I really appreciated her as much until season 3, particularly in the season premiere. Celestia's Ballad just proved her awesomeness even more.
  18. Is this real life? Seriously, it just feels like that episode went by so quickly and was so epic I'm speechless. All I can think about is how awesome the music was. Seriously, Daniel Ingram, thanks to you this may be one of my favorite episodes. I did like how the ending finished with Twilight saying "It's all going to be fine," almost as if it was a direct message to us. I could care less about alitwi, (wings+more responsibilities..yay?) but OMG CELESTIA SANG AND WORE A DRESS.
  19. I blame Friendship is Witchcraft... In all seriousness though, it's also probably because he's the lone male main character in a show where everyone else important is female and the fanbase is mostly male. That could be one reason. Also, despite the fact that I really like him, his character often falls into the "annoying, cowardly little brother" archtype, which isn't exactly the most likeable kind of character. He doesn't do much, and in all of his episodes (Dragon Quest, Owl's Well that Ends Well, Spike at your Service and Secret of my Excess) the whole point of his episodes turns out like this- 1) Spike screws something up. 2) Mane 6 have to come to his rescue. Even though Crystal Empire was an aversion, he ends up screwing up things a lot. Not to mention, he can come off as overly snarky and somewhat mean. I personally like his snarkiness (mostly in season 1), his relationship with Twilight and his comic relief role, but I can indeed see why he may come off as unlikeable.
  20. That welcoming cheer/song was seriously one of the most epic mane 6 moments (minus Rarity, but she had a reason to be gone) of the entire show. Anyone else agree with me? Also, this is one of the prettiest episodes animation-wise. The backgrounds were all gorgeous and there were quite a few that I want to use as wallpapers. I was also surprised by how funny this episode was. Twilight "worrying", and literally everything to do Cadance's hair, Rainbow Dash or the "fake", claustrophobic, chicken games inspector were highlights for me. Most Pinkie Pie moments seemed really forced, but it's kind of hard to make any random Pinkie Pie jokes not forced or even funny at all if the focus isn't on her. I know people will complain about the fake inspector being really obvious, but really, put yourself in the mane 6's mind. All they know about this pony is that she has a flowered bag. They didn't see the other pony with the flowered bag, while the audience did. The mane 6 aren't the audience, so they didn't see the real inspector. Also, they didn't know what the inspector acted like either. This episode is continuity done very, VERY right. Overall, it's just a really fun episode.
  21. I was scared that I would be disappointed in his return... NOPE. That was hilarious! I liked the little skits with the Demo Reel crew, particularly the Chia Kid one. This movie probably wasn't the best movie to choose to make an epic comeback with, but he reviewed it flawlessly and summed up some great criticisms of it. It feels so good to say this, but welcome back Critic...or Donnie...or whoever you are (the Review Must Go On, although awesome, kind of confused me a bit).
  22. I'm going to miss these polls, and I'd like to thank SuperUltimateBrony for setting these up. It was really interesting to see how my favorite episodes fared and to see everybody else's opinions (even if there were some polls and results that I completely disagreed with. *cough coughbasicallyeverypollwithSleeplessinPonyvilleinitcough cough*) They're both amazing episodes, and I see why both of them were able to make it this far. Return of Harmony part 2 was awesome due to the villain it introduced and that awesomely heartwarming scene where Twilight rereads the friendship lessons. Best Night Ever was a good first season ending, mostly due to the music and the humor. The ending was kind of rushed, and I could see it being better if it were a two parter. Still, they're good episodes. Far from my favorites, but still excellent nonetheless. So, I guess I'm going with Return of Harmony. It well exceeded my expectations, and although I don't think it's the best two parter (I may be in the minority for this opinion, but I like both Canterlot Wedding and Crystal Empire more) it's still epic.
  23. Yup. It feels so...weird to log on to MLPForums and not see it in the first page of My Content. TPAM is currently watching the Super Bowl (Beyonce is on now ).
  24. Your name of Julia has given you a practical, efficient, and capable nature, with a desire to participate in business ventures. (I guess I am kind of ambitious.) Able to see how the details of a situation fit into the overall picture, you have good judgment regarding anything of a practical or technical nature. (I do like critiquing things and focusing on details.) You are efficient, and capable of carrying a lot of responsibility, but your nature is so serious that personal association suffers. (NO WAY. I hate being responsible, and I'm not serious at all. It's actually quite the opposite. I'm too not serious that personal association suffers.) You demand as much from others as you do from yourself. (Teamwork FTW) It is difficult for you to merge your nature with others to create understanding, or to show love and tenderness to those close to you. (Kind of, I guess.) You experience much misunderstanding and unhappiness in your personal life as a result. (Not really. I'm happy.) Tension would affect the stomach and intestinal tract, and you could suffer with constipation, growths, or serious female disorders. (... I'm just not going to respond.) So, yeah, apparently I'm a serious socially inept ambitious person. Nope not even close.
  25. I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, huh? Whatever. Fluttershy: Look, she does have redeeming qualities. I'll get that out of the way. I like her voice, design and some of the moments she's given but... 1. All of her episodes thus far except Keep Calm and Flutter On have been about her crippling social anxiety. This is annoying. Look, we get it, she's shy. Something about this makes me think that the writers have trouble coming up with other synopses that would work with Fluttershy as the main character, and I understand that. Still, it's getting old. 2. Adding onto her shyness, it's annoying. I get that fans can relate to her, but shyness isn't cute. Add this onto episodes like Dragonshy where her anxiety drags down the rest of the group. It's not funny, it's annoying. 3. Aside from her shyness, is there really that much more to Fluttershy's character? She's the most shallow member of the mane 6 character wise. She's adorable, she's shy, she's sensitive, she likes animals....that's it. On the other hand, I could talk about Rarity or Rainbow's personality for an hour. Heck, even if you look at the MLP wiki her personality description is quite a bit shorter than anyone else in the mane 6. Even Spike. 4. Some of her fans are kind of...outspoken. Particularly the ones who see her as their waifu. Now I feel kind of guilty for using a gif of Fluttershy as my profile background. It was just too pretty to pass up. Other than that, no one else really comes to mind. Snips and Snails are kind of annoying, I guess.
